Absolutely fantastic family restaurant. Always huge portions and amazing comfort food. Congrats to the owners on their upcoming retirement. Get there while you can and enjoy this Calgary institution.
I was raised in a large Hungarian family growing up but lost touch with a lot of my family when I moved out West. After recently moving to Calgary and hearing that there was a Hungarian Restaurant, I couldn't wait to go. The Restaurant is usually pretty busy, and it took a while before I was finally able to get in. The restaurant is small, modestly decorated and simple. The food is delicious to say the least. Visited for dinner for the first time as I heard they are closing this iconic restaurant after 24 years. I’m not too familiar with Hungarian cuisine, I enjoyed everything I had tonight. My favorite was chicken paprikash, it is tomato based stew with chicken, served with home made spaetzel. Service is casual and friendly, it was a lovely restaurant!
