“I went to the potion room for the first time a couple of weeks ago, the there of the place is so cool and quite nothing like anything else in Calgary. The night I went they had a comedy show which was so goood! I had many laughs with my buddy. The waitress was so sweet and came to chat to us just after the show. “This place meets the very definition of a hole on the wall in the most endearing of terms. The place is comfortable and quaint. Parking available. The menu is varied, peppered with good choices of Mexican and Salvadorean dishes. The food was very good. I was there for the Central American experience. We had a few pupusas of different sorts, and teied the sopa de res. The soup was excellent.The service was okay. We wanted to share the soup, and it arrived in one main bowl, with an empty little bowl to divide but no means to do it with a spoon. That seem shortsighted and and should have been done in the kitchen from the start. Nothing unpleasant, but nit very thoughtful service on that score. The rest of the service qas good, cordial and attentive.In all, a good experience. Planning to go back with the children soon.“

“Very authentic. Best guacamole I've ever had. Menu is 50% gluten friendly. Their house made tortilla chips are phenomenal. The owner/chef is super nice. There was a loud customer and instead of kicking him out or something extreme, he just went and chatted him up. Guy stopped blasting his music and had a conversation instead. “We had yet another wonderful meal at Tu Tierra. This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Calgary. We were a fairly large group, 15 people, and the service was excellent. We were celebrating some special events and also ordered a large cake. We were told the owner made it specially for us and it was an amazing tres Leche cake. One of the best I have ever had. Truly an amazing restaurant with great food and great service.“

“The food was delicious. I’m picky when it comes to onions in my food and did request not to have it in my food if possible. The server said yes, but then my entree still came with a huge onion in it. The saving grace was that it could be picked out easily. The rest of the meals were made without onions. The dessert were delicious also.Parking: The was a huge paid parking lot across the street. I went on a weekend and only paid $2 for the whole weekend.“

“I was at the restaurant on Sunday, March 3, and had a pork sandwich (chuleta pork torta, as they call it). I will just say this: it was one of THE BEST sandwiches I've had in my life!! absolutely fantastic! “It's hard to find good El Salvadorian food in Calgary, especially ones priced well and good portions! Love the options here, they even have a "family meal" where you can get a juice pitcher, 20 pupusas and platanos fritos. They have a little area of merch (tee shirts, keychains, hats, bags etc). It's a small restaurant, so seating is limited, and it definitely needs to be ventilated better when it gets busy inside, but food wise and price it was great!Parking: Immediate parking area is shared with the rest of the vendors on that strip, so parking is limited and a little awkward to navigate, prepare for parking down the street and walking a bit.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome!Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs to the restaurant (no ramp), and there are double doors to get inside, which are fairly narrow.“

“If you’re looking for some smoked food this place was amazing! My wife and I were in Calgary visiting some family for a couple weeks during the holidays and stumbled across this restaurant on Uber eats. The food was great and very reasonably priced compared to some other places in the area. We ended up ordering again the night before we left to come back home! Fantastic, friendly service, the chilaquiles was so delicious and generously sized I had to take some home. “Tonight was the first time we had ever tried BarBurrito at University District. Oh my gawd! It was so good. And the gal working was so helpful with our orders. “I have yet to be disappointed with the food here, it is always fresh, flavorful and filling. Seriously, the tacos are huge, I'm a big guy and i have a hard time eating more than 2 tacos. “If Dominic Toretto taught us one thing it's that family is all you need. But Mr. Toretto was likely too busy driving to and from big heists or explosions to be able to enjoy the clean, inviting, and professional atmosphere of this Mucho Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill. Speaking of family, though, the couple that run this restaurant are wonderful. My brother absolutely loves it here and he says they are #1 in all the restaurants he has visited. Including the one that he used to work at! I trust his opinion, unlike Dominic Toretto, who is a fictional character in a series of absolutely trash movies. Eat here and have a great time with clean tables, friendly smiles and white rice. The tacos were absolutely delicious with loads of fresh toppings carefully placed and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, while the poutine was piping hot with lots of gravy and cheese curds. It seems like a small detail, but the cashier remembered my name and asked what she could get for me. “We visited CG March 14,2022 for a well deserved Margarita/Tacos after a long day in Johnston Canyon. My wife loved the Peach Pit margarita, very tasty and I had a Hot Tamale’ margarita shaken. The pick three tacos are a great addition too being able to try any flavor of taco you prefer. The fish tacos are by far the best.
