Without a doubt the best Greek restaurant in Calgary if not the best restaurant in Calgary. The food is excellent and consistently of high quality. The service is personal and friendly without being obtrusive. And the restaurant stays quiet even when it's busy. A delightful way to spend an evening with people you enjoy being with.
4 of us ordered Taverna Special last night. It was an incredible feast!! $48 per person is such a generous deal for the variety, quality and quantity they serve. We were all impressed with every single dish. I was particularly amazed by their calamari. It's not an exaggeration to say it is the best calamari I've ever had. The squid was succulent and the breadcrumb was so light and crispy. Great service and quaint atmosphere.
