“My friend brought me to go food from Hometown tonight. I have had many Korean food places in my day all over the nation, and Hometown had some of the freshiest most authetic Korean I have tasted. The sauce for the Budae Jjigae was so flavorful and delicious. Portion size and prices are spot on as well. If you like fresh, authetic, and flavorful Korean food that hits the spot. You have got to try this place!!“
“We recently came home to Alaska and our server remembered what we drank after being away for 2 years, as if we never left. The food is always a comfort, fresh and delicious, both the buffet and Mongolian grill. With time quality and service sometimes changes... not here, we have been coming for nearly 30 years and it is always consistent.“
“Woooooooooww! I am overwhelmed with joy and flavor. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of spicy bbq sauce. 10/10. That was so good and I was so full but I wanted more. My fiancé ordered the 3/4 pound brisket platter and it was very tender and juicy. He got traditional and smoky bbq sauce as sides and the traditional bbq sauce I'd buy in a bottle . It was the perfect bbq sauce. We ordered the corn fritters and they were HUGE should have went with a half order. The only thing I was disappointed on were the sides. We ordered Mac and cheese and potato salad. I wish I would have paid more attention to the size of the sides cause when I opened the bag at home I was blown away. Next time I'll know to ask for a larger size. Overall, great service took about 20 mins from ordering. Hopefully it turns into a sit down restaurant with a beer selection. I can see it being the next best restaurant on the south side. Super stoked to have found this gem. I highly recommend you check it out. Update: 8 days later and I've order 2 more times cause I couldn't get enough of that brisket. Great job guys.“
“I wanted to grab a quick bite and discovered this place. The restaurant wasn’t too busy. It’s a hidden gem and a great spot to enjoy a nice cozy and quiet meal. I ordered takeout: avocado roll and vegetable tempura. The avocado roll was perfect and had a wonderful texture. The vegetable tempura was perfectly fried, not too heavy or oily. It came with 2 pieces of asparagus and a piece of onion, carrot, pumpkin and zucchini. Both orders were delicious and incredibly rich in flavor. Their service was fast and the staff extremely friendly. I placed the order and within 15 min it was ready. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back!“
“TASTY!! Best value- the Musubi! They're pretty large and super filling!- I got the bbq chicken one and am super duper pleased with it. Kailua pork shredded fine and very flavorful... Homie got BBQ mix plate, and said bbq beef was his favorite. Bbq chicken style is skin on thigh. Kind service, Clean bright atmosphere. We are pleased!“
“First time going here, won't be my last. I tried the ribs at Chowder Express and they were amazing! The were dripping with juicy flavor that was out of this world. My coworkers also raved about the clam chowder, saying it was the best they've ever had. I'm so happy to have found a new go-to spot for ribs since Sourdough Mining Co. closed.
