This gem in downtown Anchorage is awesome. The food was hot and came out very quickly. The server was nice, friendly, and her attitude was excellent. The dark interior was a huge plus. Their menu is simple and very easy to understand.

This is a must try. My husband and I arrived at 5 without a reservation and were seated immediately. On the menu for dinner was beer battered fried halibut fingers as an appetizer. So buttery and mouth watering-delicious even without tartar sauce. Entree for my husband was the ribeye served on a sizzling hot plate, this steak was thick and perfectly cooked. I had the Queen cut ribeye medium rare. The horseradish was a serious game changer with this steak! Don’t skip on the rolls-they’re so fresh and warm addition to the meal.

Steaks are superb, baked potato tasted a bit old (that taste when a tator sits in the warming drawer to long.) warm bread served was delicious. Be forewarned, lol, the horseradish sauce was some of the most intense flavor ever experienced. A bit disappointed with the sour cream, it's a bit "stiff" or thick if you will, and the flavor is not what my wife or I expected. I'm not sure if it's a brand issue or if they are attempting to jazz it up, make it their own, kind of thing.Parking: There is a convenient paid parking lot directly east of the entrance, free parking directly behind the restaurant accessable via the alley.

The restaurant theme and ambiance are very old-fashioned and have almost European vibes. The food was excellent; my wife and I had three courses and loved everyone. The staff was all friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend the filet mignon with the prawns. Finish it off with a beautiful crème brûlée! Will be back.

Was so disappointed in this place. Saw the reviews and thought it was going to be amazing. I was so underwhelmed, it was sad. The best thing I had was the escargot, loaded backed potato, and fried zucchini. Drinks were blah. They didn't even have a blender for a frozen margarita, you have $50 drinks on the menus, but don't have a blender? Come on! Cesar salad was okay, I've had better. Scallops were in this super sweet sauce that overpowered the delicate seafood. The teriyaki tips were drawing in teriyaki sauce and the clamps tasked likke they were sitting in warm dirty sink water. I really wanted to like this place but I couldn't. The food was blah and the service was the same. When I would try to catch the waiter, I would say "Sir," and he would say "yup, be right there," and keep walking by. This happened several times. Also the atmosphere gives me dingy old Vegas restaurant vibes without the smoke. A pretty penny was spent there for dinner and we will not be back. Sorry not sorry. Would not recommend.

Club Paris will always be the place to beat for a good steak in Downtown Anchorage. Also try the French Onion Soup as a starter and the Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert, you won’t be disappointed! The service is great and the ambiance is filled with Old Alaskan charm. I’ll be back!
