Super great for a hot American style breakfast, awesome black coffee to get you up in the morning that's for sure. Can get a bit crowded and there is a wait some of the time, but that is because it's hard to find a good place like this with some truly great gals working. Can't wait for them to open again, hope everything is okay there!

This is a cool little restaurant. My wife and I were looking for a good spot for breakfast and to say we weren't disappointed would be an understatement. I had the biscuits and gravy and oh my god the bacon and sausage gravy was crazy good and the homemade biscuits were to die for! The staff was extremely friendly and the prices were great. This place is a must if you find yourself looking for a reasonably priced breakfast this is your spot.

Delicious breakfast that comes in hearty portions. The blueberry pancakes are so fluffy and perfectly crispy on the edges, one of the best I’ve had. Also recommend their biscuit and gravy. Plus the quirky interiors and warm hospitality that make you feel like you are at grandma’s kitchen. Cash only.

So. As always Granny B's hit the spot for a hearty breakfast. I truly love this restaurant! I try n go at least once a week. The portions are good for the money and it all tastes fresh. I am warning you now. Should you get a full biscuits and gravy you'll have to 'roll' out. Notice the emphasis on roll? I am a biscuits and gravy fan. But I keep it to a half order. But if you simply MUST fill that biscuits n gravy void? Go for the gusto and get that full order! You'll be satisfied ?Had the "Ed's" breakfast this morning with scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns. So good! Oh?! And that ½ order of biscuits n gravy as well. Yup! I am full! So. Remember. No check or card to pay. Only cash. Feels old fashioned that way. Granny B's will fill the breakfast void with a smile and great food. Enjoy!

Was in town early to get my tires changed over for the winter and went to the closest place that served breakfast. I am beyond surprised and impressed with the quality of food and service. The interior is vintage and covered in old Alaskan memorabilia and the welcoming and warm attitude of the staff creates a comforting old school atmosphere. The prices are incredibly cheap and the quality of food was very high. Everything came out piping hot and full of flavor that I didn't expect from traditional American breakfast food. The biscuit and gravy comes highly recommended. Just be aware that it is cash only and be sure to bring some bills! Will be making this my regular spot for breakfast in town.

What an amazing little hole in the wall on the outskirts of town. Lovely staff, friendly and accommodating. The food was as if I was literally at my granny's house. Huge & delicious portions!

We were staying in a nearby hotel whose breakfast was $16/pp for something that was not very appealing. So we searched Tripadvisor and found Granny B's. This place did not disappoint!!! We ate here both mornings while we were in Anchorage. Food was fantastic. The best pancakes I have ever had. (Kind of funny - my brother and his wife came to Anchorage several years ago. I was messaging him during our trip and mentioned Granny B's. He too said they are the best pancakes he's ever had). Hubs & boys had french toast, biscuits & gravy, chicken fried steak, eggs, bacon, sausage. Everything was delicious! On top of the great food though were the great waitresses!!! They were SUPER friendly and made us feel like we were old friends. Wished we could move this place to our hometown so that it could become a regular hangout for us. Be warned - it is cash only. And small, so get there early.

Absolutely delicious! Amazing customer service and food in this hole-in-the-wall diner.

Great food, but I wish they used fresh ingredients. My omelet came out with canned mushrooms, and the hash browns looked slightly unnatural with how square they looked on the plate. Also, keep in mind that they only take cash, not card. Quite expensive too, but maybe that's Alaska prices?

*Cash only, Yelpers. * If I could, I would give this charming tiny diner 10 s!!!! I'm a Midwest girl and we are known for being kind broad shouldered ppl. We smile and say hi. We hold the door open for you. We say please and thank you. This restaurant embodies all of these things. Everyone was helpful, polite, accommodating. The ambiance, it's a diner....that's the ambiance. It's eclectic and homey. The coffee was hot and fresh. I got the French toast and my husband got an omelette and the blueberry pancakes. The beauty of diners? You know exactly what you're gonna get when you order. The dishes are simple, inexpensive, and always make you nostalgic of an easier time. Or is it just me? Oh and how were the blueberry pancakes you asked?!? OMG HOLY sh*% they were sooooooooo dang good . Fresh blueberries are in season and WHOA these pancakes were FRESH! My husband and I both agreed....these were THE BEST blueberry pancakes we have ever had in our 40 years on earth!!! If you're in anchorage and want a simple uncomplicated inexpensive but delicious breakfast......get to Granny Bs.

We read some great reviews about this place but were a little skeptical. It kind of looks like a hole in the wall place when you pull up, but the inside is super eclectic and homey. Our waitress was excellent and our food was delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better experience

Food was delicious! We were lucky to get in early as when we left there was a line out the door. Not many tables as it is a small restaurant so be prepared for a wait. Also they only take cash! The place definitely had its own character and was fun to eat at.

Hands down one of the best Chicken fried Steaks breakfasts I had ever had. Staff was amazing and super friendly and the Devore was very cool. They even had a BYU coffee mug lol!
