Amazing location, it was close by my hotel. The food's damn good. I ordered the crab benedict, it was so perfect. The iced tea was so perfect. The decor in the restaurant really fits the mood of Alaska.

Food was hot and fast good service. Just didn't taste the same as it used to, every restaurant is having that problem. All new kitchen staff since covid. Coffee sucked, taste like water too weak

If the parking lot is full don't let that sway you. I went in there this morning to get some biscuits and gravy with bacon and orange slices for my boss and I. Great service with a smile. I had my food in 10 maybe 15 minutes at most and was on my way! They still serve the good portions they are known for and quite honestly since the pandemic hit it is really a blessing to be able to walk into a place that is the same as it was and she happy customers and buy some absolutely great food.

Charming ambiance and delicious food. The French toast was amazing and my husband said his Denver omlette, grits, and biscuits was fantastic, as well. Service was wonderful!

Such good home cooking! Nice size portions, good friendly atmosphere. We had a huge breakfast for 4 people and it was only $45! Awesome deal.

Awesome bacon. And I love bacon. Restaurant bacon is usually so bad I don't order it. Here I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and it arrived at the table with 2 slices of bacon. I tried it. It was like Santa of Bacon delivered his best work straight to our plates. Go there for the bacon if for nothing else.

We ate here for breakfast on our last day in Alaska. It was a perfect send off for us. Of course it was packed, so don't be in too much of a hurry. We got lucky and grabbed two seats at the counter which ended up being way more fun! The service is SPOT ON.. my coffee was never empty and she was colorful and friendly to everyone. I felt like we were this small family around the dinner table. We had the chicken fried steak (which was amazing) and the crab benedict (also fantastic) highly recommend either one. My only negative is they have not updated their hours on yelp or website and we showed up for lunch earlier in our trip and they were closed, a bit of a bummer, but that night we were able to try another local place and come back on our last leg.

We are visiting from Missouri and we’re looking for a delicious breakfast joint. Gwennie’s did not disappoint! The food was hot, fresh, and served within minutes of ordering. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so fun!

When look for breakfast options in Anchorage, look no further. Gwennies was the best breakfast we had while visiting. Everyone flocks to Snow City but Gwennies has the perfect atmosphere and friendly staff. You'll feel right at home while eating a delicious breakfast!

I am never eating here again, terrible service - food was burnt and potatoes undercooked.
