For decades Long Branch burgers have been the best in Anchorage. But, today I found out they've made some changes. Supposedly now using fresh, Alaska grown potatoes for the fries; they look burned and I didn't care for them. Also, their famous buns seem to have changed. The burger itself was still tasty, but I liked the old way better.Parking: Plenty of free, off street parking in their lot. I live nearby and have always enjoyed the Long Branch. Spirit drinks are pretty strong, and the food in general is good. In particular, the onion rings are crispy and the best I have had in town.

I ordered the taco salad with blackened chicken. The salad was delicious, seasoned well, perfectly dressed with salsa so as to not end up over soggy. The pickled jalapenos were unnecessary, but that may be arguable as I'm not a huge fan of them to begin with. The tostada shell; however, didn't live up to the rest of the dish.
