The best oxtail soup I ever have is here! My wife ordered pho with white pork sausage, and she loved itI preferred my soup without noodles, the waiter was kindly offered me the vegetables for substitute. The broth was tasty and my oxtail was cooked very well.Dietary restrictions: Keto

I have tried EVERY Vietnamese & pho restaurant in Anchorage and this one has by far had the best tasting pho in the city. A little pricey compared to most, but oh so good! My new favorite, this will be my go to now. The vegetarian/tofu pho has the most variety of vegetables, and the broth is so good. Also, be sure to try the Thai iced coffee, delicious.

Let me preface this by saying Siam Cuisine is my go to restaurant, and has been since I was very young. I am biased by nostalgia and their familiar flavors that shaped my experience of Thai food. It is my opinion that their Thai is unmatched by any other restaurant in Alaska, however, I must acknowledge that this restaurant is not without problems. Siam Cuisine is extremely accommodating. Practically any of their offerings can be veganized by substituting with vegetables and tofu, and removing non-vegan ingredients. Unfortunately, many of their dishes rely so heavily on non-vegan ingredients such as oyster sauce, fish sauce, and animal broths. Without them, dishes like pad thai and tom yum lack significant flavor. There are substitutes out there, but to my knowledge Siam does not utilize them. As a result many dishes suffer from blandness or over salting. There is no guarantee that the veganized dish will be good. Siam would do well to make a specialized menu of vegan options while incorporating actual vegan substitutions (fish sauce made from seaweed, oyster sauce made from mushrooms, veggie broth, etc). Another problem is their inconsistency. Siam Cuisines takeout often seems more rushed than the meals I get dining in. They sometimes lack full flavor, and on a couple occasions I could swear they forgot the curry paste in my kang ped (red curry). This inconsistency exists across the board, but it is most notable in their takeout. Related to inconsistency, my most grievous concern is their frequent inattention to vegan requests. It seems that every other visit I am given a dish that is unmistakably not vegan. I can't help but think of the times I've received a non-vegan dish and not noticed because fish and oyster sauce are ingredients not as apparent as meat or egg. Every time I order I repeat my vegan request for the dish and list the ingredients I don't want included. And yet it's 50/50 whether that request is honored. This needs to stop if I'm going to continue to eat here. I don't mean to come across as hating on Siam Cuisine. I love this restaurant despite its flaws. The people are great and so friendly, it has a really nice atmosphere, and when the food hits it reallllllly hits. I would just like to see Siam Cuisine improve because I love it so much. I want to continue to appreciate them and frequent their business for a long time.

What happened to this place? It went from a casual and reasonably priced restaurant to ridiculously over priced. The menu got bigger, and so did all the photos of the food, but little change to the atmosphere. We sat for about 10 minutes looking over the menu and decided to leave because, why would I pay that much? Over 20$+ for any dish, curry, noodles, you name it. I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, and there is no reason for these prices in this type of establishment with tacky plastic menus and classless atmosphere.Look elsewhere Anchorage, there are way better values out there for eating Asian cuisine!

I asked my Uber driver who has lived in anchorage for 11 years his favorite restaurant and he said he eats here nearly every day. We were NOT disappointed it was delicious and had good portions. I love good pho and theirs was excellent.

This place is great. Decent portion sizes. Pork belly anything is good there. Just be prepared to spend $25 per person. Sometimes the staff brings you waters, takes your food order, and you don't see them again until you want to pay and leave. Which is good and bad in my opinion.

This is my favorite restaurant in Anchorage. It has changed the course of my life. I love the Tom Yum, Kao Piek Sen Soup (I think this is a house special recipe) , larb, papaya salad (go ultra spicy and feel the pain. The restaurant is spacious. I love how much room you have. I don't feel crammed in with all the other diners.I bet they have amazong curry and pad thai... But I don't order those dishes.

This is my #1 place to go when I want to eat out or pick up food and eat at home! The food is always delicious and they have lots of condiments to add in the restaurant. Staff is warm and friendly and the restaurant has a very cozy, trendy atmosphere. My husband loves their drunken noodles, but if you can’t take too much spice like me I love their Mongolian beef, Tom Kah Soup, and Mama noodle soup. If your in south Anchorage this is the place to go!

I've tried this place twice and I feel like I still need to get a better Guage in order to become a regular. The fried rice was unfortunately not up to my standards, and the Appetizer chicken wings were extremely fatty and the batter was (black)? Not sure what that's about? Possibly an oil issue.Anyway I tried there porkchop entree and the marinated sauce it had was good and the porkchops were pretty decent but (dry)..I still have a couple more dishes to try so I will find out soon if I make this a regular in my rotation but I must say the costumer service is great, and they are very helpful with recommendations..?
