Best old fashioned family-owned breakfast diner in all of Anchorage. They are passionate about making sure you receive good service and a quality meal. The chicken fried steak is huge.

Great atmosphere and setting. Great service too. Food was good. I ordered a turkey sandwich & my husband ordered the pigs in blanket with a side of grits (sausages wrapped in pancakes). My food tasted good but my husband’s not so much. Grits were a little undercooked. Sausages used in the pancake were too tiny and pancakes were quite doughy.Other than that, not a bad place. Would come back!

We have enjoyed this southside restaurant for close to a decade now. Love the atmosphere anytime of year. The food is good, and the staff always seems to make it a point to make us feel welcome. Especially our young kids. Keep up the good work!

Best pancakes in town! Like literally. I’ve been trying to figure out their recipe—they must add more extra or additional emulsifiers. You know how many (bad) pancakes, you can feel every ingredient granule? Like it’s all separating on your tongue. None of that here; there’s some kind of additional creaminess to their pancakes that just set them apart. Worth driving from the opposite side of town for on a Saturday morning. Also, fast, FAST service for how busy it gets; the family runs their place like a tight ship so you can move in and out. So efficient, warm and delicious.

Just had a great morning experience in a family atmosphere. Mama here runs a tight ship. Thank you Mama for what you do for the community. And, thank you for the syrup.

So my buddy and I went here for breakfast and for a diner style restaurant it was pretty good. The place was clean the service was quick and the staff was friendly. The down side was its on the opposite end of town from where I live the food was good other then my potatoes in my skillet were still a bit undercooked, and they were cut a little big. Id would have liked it served in a bigger dish. "The portion size was fine." The dish it came in was a bit small. Over all I would recommend this as a place to eat if you are over on south side off Huffman.
