This is a Nepalese restaurant not an Indian one. Nepalese food is a regional cuisine akin to Tibet, so those folks expecting a diverse selection representing all of India will be disappointed.

This is a place that looks quite plain from the outside and even from the inside, but the servings are large and the food is very tasty. My family had the Himalayan chopped salad and two different versions of the lamb dish, and I had some lentils in addition to that, served with a heaping plate of rice and all the water we could drink. Come hungry and come prepared to enjoy mild but very tasty food.

I've been to both Yak and Yeti locations in Anchorage and this is more the family-style option of the two (the other is a build-your-own-rice-bowl type of deal). My family and I came here twice during our trip to Anchorage since they have reliably good food at a great value. I got to try their Himalayan chicken, Palak Paneer, Chicken Achari, and Lhasa Momos. The flavor of everything is great, and the family favorite for us was the Palak Paneer. So much flavor and super rich. The flavors of the Achari and Himalayan chicken were good too, although the chicken was a little dry. The Lhasa Momos were delicious as well (and each dumpling is pretty big). We placed orders for takeout and everything is ready pretty quickly!! With super friendly service too. Parking situation: on-site

Wow! I ordered through Grubhub and got the tikka masala hot and the garlic naan. Soooo delicious, the perfect amount of spice I like. The portions were definitely worth the money. This will be 2 meal atleast for me. I will definitely eat at this place again. Highly recommended atleast for take out.

Usually get the yam tiki masala and a sesame seed cookie. My son loves their egg salad and potato soup it has huge chunks of potato I have to cut up for him lest he spud then across the room pretty woman style. Years ago had an eggplant dish there that haunts me still it was so tasty. Never seen it again but ever hopeful.

This is our favorite spot in Anchorage. Once you go, you will be craving it, often. Good, hot, affordable, flavorful, authentic eats for everyone- Veg, GF, etc! My wife and I love sharing an app and naan, before the heaping entree of momos. So happy we found this place.
