“My husband and I have enjoyed many meals at The Depot over the years, including our 40th wedding anniversary this week! The food is so delicious and the service is always amazing! We also just love the atmosphere. This is absolutely our favorite restaurant in Auburn!!“
“Our waitress Christi was wonderful! She was so nice and made sure everyone felt welcome (especially our friend celebrating her 21st!). We had a great time and will definitely recommend it!Dietary restrictions: Our friend is gluten free and she was able to get french toast!“
“Just had my first experience and was treated and waited on like a member of the family. excellent food as well as excellent service. probably the best experience I've had all year as far as food goes. Food was hot and delicious. I had the oxtail for the first time, chose this place as my first experience and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend.“
“They take awhile to get to you because it’s usually only 2 people working but the food is good. The price is a bit pricey but it’s worth it, the inside of the restaurant is a bit run down but the pleasant employees and food make up for it.“
“Blew me away!! As soon as we walked in it was nice and simply decorated with some nice Spanish looking decorations, and all of the servers were very attentive and helpful with looking through the menu. For our apps we got the octopus salad and the chorizo fries. The octopus in the salad was perfectly cooked not rubbery and the vegetables had a nice crunch and crisp. The fries were nice steak fries with some nice cheddar cheese and smoky chorizo on top. For our main course my party and I got the Tierra board. It had a whole assortment of different meats on it and I must say it was one of the best things I have ever had. The ropa vieja was the star though (the one on the far right of the picture). It was nice, sweet, tangy and really flavorful. I must say Conquistador is one of my favorite restaurants of all time.“
“We sat on the "indoor porch" for lunch. It's a little loud in there because of the tight space and echo. The only reason I am giving four stars for atmosphere. The food is excellent, try the cornbread, you won't be disappointed.“
“My mother has never been here before. We were going through the drive thru, but she was overwhelmed. We went inside and were warmly greeted by the lady at the front. She noticed my mother having a hard time reading the menu board, so she handed her a menu. She was very patient and polite for it to be taking so long! The food, a fish dinner, she informed, was cooked to order. As we waited, we noticed a gentleman constantly cleaning and running orders outside for drive-thru. Come to find out that he was a manager! It was great to see management helping in all ways, not just giving orders! The food was definitely hot and good. We will be back.Parking: The business is inside a mall parking lot.“
“Niffer's is a special place for me as part of my college experience long ago. They are famous for their selection of burgers among other things.I recently made a trip there and had a black and blue burger. Our table shared homemade chips with a sauce they call Mexicali sauce. We also had corn fritters with honey mustard dipping sauce. All were great by unanimous vote from out table. This type of food is not really my wife's style as she grew up almost vegetarian in her culture, but even she could not stop eating the homemade chips and almost finished her burger. They've been doing this for a long time so the quality is pretty dialed in unlike a lot of other places with similar food.Cons: Parking can be tough compared to other restaurants in the area. To be clear it's not like dining in a larger city with metered parking or valets, I just mean the parking lot is a little small.Stars:1 - terrible (rarely given)2 - below average3 - good, at or above average4 - excellent5 - favorite (rarely given)“
“Fabulous experience ! Reagan was such a pleasure ; efficient , kind and friendly with great recommendations. Filet , chicken and salmon delish . Praline cheesecake was one of the best desserts . Bartender made a nice , clean tequila cocktail.“
“My husband and I were staying in Opelika for a pickleball tournament, and found this jewel in Auburn. It was way before the dinner hour, so there was no problem with parking or finding a table. Before we arrived at Amsterdam Cafe, Hubs complained that he didn't want "pub food." I assured him that the limited menu had plenty of variety, and surely he'd find something he liked to eat. He ordered the pork chop with assorted peas, greens, and a biscuit. He was blown away that it was cooked to perfection. He loved the accompanying barbecue sauce so much, that he asked for more to slather on the pork. I ordered a well made cup of tomato soup. It was rich and creamy, with Boursin crumbles floating on top. With the soup, I had the small Cobb salad with house made Gorgonzola dressing. It was a generous amount with lots of goodies that could barely fit in the bowl. I asked for half and half tea with lots of lemon. Rarely do I get more than one lemon slice. I got four!! Yay me! Our waitress was most helpful and cheerful. We LOVE this place!!! Don't miss it!“
“We are a family of five and pick up from Rocco’s quite often. Husband loves the Double Dog House burger, my boys love the fried fingers, the wings are amazing and one of my favorite entrees is the fried catfish (it is light, crisp, seasoned well and never oily). Even the side salad, they use Bibb lettuces instead of bagged iceburg and be prepared to order extra sauces because their crispy ridged french fries are awesome in the savory Roc sauce or the sweet honey mustard.Kid-friendliness: The inside is kid friendly with kid friendly menu optionsWheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible with parking and sidewalks“
“The food is delicious. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. You feel welcome with that “down-home” feeling!! I can’t recommend any one thing. I wanted almost everything on the menu. We all love the “city grits” for one thing. Don’t forget the beignets!! We haven’t had anything that was not tasty.“
“My husband and I just went and we had the best waitress ever! Haley Anderson was top of the line! Very respectful and her work ethic was outstanding! The best waitress I believe I’ve ever seen! Go and ask to sit in her section! You won’t be sorry!!!!!!!!“
“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this gorgeous lounge with delicious small bites and drinks. We came to celebrate our anniversary. Ansley, our bartender, was welcoming and helpful. She provided exceptional service and made our visit special and memorable. We will be back!“
“I haven't eaten at a Tenda Chick since the one in Montgomery closed. Took 16 of us there for lunch, food was great and was served quickly. The staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.Vegetarian options: They had a very tasty meatless salad with fresh veggies, fries and coleslaw.“
“After finding Birdie's Cup and Saucer on Facebook, I decided to stop by with my daughter after work today. It's been a hectic week, and I hadn't been to the grocery store yet. We walked in, and the aroma of fresh-baked bread filled the air. Oh, my. It tasted even better than it smelled. While I was browsing the fridge, Birdie introduced herself to us and invited my daughter to see her aquarium across the room. She was so kind to her and even let my daughter feed the fish their dinner! It was so sweet. I picked out the artichoke chicken dinner with glazed carrots and mashed potatoes. It was scrumptious and plenty to feed two adults and two kids. We are looking forward to trying the poppyseed chicken tomorrow -- with more of her delicious bread, of course. Thanks, Birdie! We will be back soon!“
“I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant today. I had double cabbage, fried pork chop, cornbread, and peach cobbler. all was delish, the establishment was very clean and you're greeted with the aroma of good food being cooked and friendly smile. I loved everything about this establishment. If I had to add anything it would just be some music being played softly. would definitely recommend and patronize again“
“Daniel was an excellent server! The food was delicious. We had the pimento cheese for an appetizer and it was so good! I had The Farmer's Breakfast and it was wonderful. The burrito was huge. My husband had The Big Nasty and he really liked it. For dessert we had the Bread Pudding and it was the best ever! The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming!Parking: Parking can be a challenge. We parked in the Wright Street deck, one street over and there was plenty of parking there.“
