“Hook's BBQ is a bit hard to find, but once you find it, you will be glad that you did. There was adequate parking and walking in, I approached the counter and placed my order to the friendly woman behind the cash register. After ordering. I found a seat and waited for my name to be called. The inside has the ambiance that you would expect from a barbecue place. Soon enough my name was called and I received my meal. I had ordered the large pulled pork and for my two sides. I went with French fries and baked beans. It also came with two pieces of bread and pound cake. I opted for the hot barbecue sauce. All in all, I was impressed with my meal. It was good and it was pretty competitively priced. Hook's BBQ is a great place to have a meal if you are in the Hoover, Alabama area. I would definitely recommend here and give it five stars.”

“I’ve been eating here for years & I love this place! Learned recently that the dinner menu is better than the lunch options. For instance, the spicy scallops and caterpillar rolls aren’t served during lunch time. Still one of my favs!”

“Everything was so good, from the smoky velvety and tender chicken quarter to the snappy and slightly sweet coleslaw to the mustard and again a little sweet potato salad, and the typical but perfect banana pudding. Service was good and quick. Only bad thing I would have to say about the place is that the restroom was not as orderly as it could have been, but it was clean. Oh, and the parking lot could be a menace if you drive too fast, so watch out! Definitely would go back again!”

“This place is legit, flavors are all on point- attention to detail. Ate off their food truck. Long line, but they didn't cut corners, this is how Mexican food should taste- not tex mex flavor but legit flavors. I can still smell the lime and corn tortillas. ”

“This place is absolutely lovely. We stopped here on the way home to Wetumpka, Alabama. It was only one girl working and she was so kind. She gave us both plenty of recommendations. I ended up getting a vanilla oatmilk latte and it was so good! The coffee was very smooth and had a roasted espresso flavor. It wasn’t too sweet, too bitter or too milky. I would definitely recommend to stop here for a cup of coffee!”

“Not my best CSC experience. There was only one young lady working the counter and I had to wait for her to finish with a phone order before she could take my order. I ordered my usual when to get my drink in this particular location. Did not have the watermelon tea and didn't have enough strawberry lemonade to fill one glass. There was no effort to refill the beverages so I had to top off with regular lemonade. Both of the lemonades are delicious but don't offer a choice if you're not going to provide the product. The food was good and is consistent as usual. The dining room was very clean then the staff that I encountered was very pleasant. Ample amount of parking is this location is in a shopping center.”

“We made our first visit last night and it was very good. Nice ambiance, it is in a strip mall but the interior is very much like a dive bar, just cleaner. The service was very good throughout, friendly hostesses and great servers. Everyone seemed to pitch in too, the staff seemed to work well as a team with the focus on service. The food was very good as well. I had a Mahi sandwich and my wife had Mahi tacos, both were great. The onion rings looked great, I will definitely go back to try an order.”

“Talk about good Chicken! I grew up about an hour outside Buffalo,NY. These wings are on par with any I would get when I lived there, they are that good. Get the bring the pain sauce and honey garlic and you will have a good time! Also shout out to Laura for the excellent service.”

“Hotels were all sold out at Dothan due to the world-famous Peanut Festival. So we stayed at Troy instead. Rodeo was within walking distance from our hotel and I am glad we tried it out. You can't beat cold beer and decent Mexican food after a long day of driving. We were seated shortly and offered a basket of chip & salsa on the house. Refilled later without problems. I orderred Carnitas Rojas. The tender pork chunk covered with thick flavorful salsa sauce was delightful. According to the menu, the salsa sauce was a combination of 3 chili sauce. Just delightful. I ordered hubby the Steak Jalisco. He gave me a hate look after the first bite. So he ate half of my Carnitas. The steak wasn't bad though. But the pork was just too good. The bill was shockingly reasonable. Too bad it is too far from us. See you again Rodeo. We will be back.”

“My favorite Troy Mexican restaurant. The veggie fajitas are the best I've had with a great mix of veggies well beyond the typical onions, peppers and tomatoes. Julio was our server and treated us like kings.Vegetarian options: Better mix of veggies in the veggie fajitas than you typically find. Includes squash, spinach and corn.”

“If you're undecided, and love the flavors of a fajita dish but want something different, get the molcajete instead. It comes with all the fajitas meats and veggies plus chorizo and cheese and nopales cactus chunks. The chicken and steak pieces are huge. This easily serves 4 people, especially if you eat the free chips and salsa. The salsa is so good. If you love it, ask for another! We get the corn tortillas instead of flour. You can also get a rice/beans plate for each person or you can order the molcajete for however many people. It's a steal for the price and it comes out in a beautiful display. Just trust me on that. Enjoy!Also, the fajita quesadilla is delicious! The homecoming chicken reminded me of fajitas but smothered in cheese on a bed of rice.”

“This is one of those restaurants you tell all your friends about. I brought my parents here for lunch and they loved it. The environment is unmatched with breath-taking artwork adorning every wall and servers that treat you better than family. If you can find your wits after appreciating where you’ve chose to eat, you should eat. My favorite is the crawfish etouffe, but my parents enjoyed the shrimp and grits, and the oyster po’boy. All three though deserve to be ordered. Please don’t just take my word for it check it out. How about a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich? How about Wings? Sweet Potato Fries? Coffee Milkshake? Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Milkshake? What kind of Gluten Free options? Chicken & Dumplings as a side? Chicken Pot Pie? Hot Chicken Tenders?”

“Finally I've found a decent Chinese buffet in the area.All of the food was fresh, and flavourful, with items uncommon in normal buffet, like taro bao. Everything was pipping hot and delicious.The only short coming was better not be thirsty because you get one drink so make it last. There may be an option for refill but after being sat the table was never checked on again.”
