Summary:10/10Breakdown:Food- I am vegetarian, date is not.I ordered fried green tomatoes (appetizer), Fries(side), vegan bbq with slaw. Date had wings (appetizer) with chicken tenders (meal) and fries (side).Slaw has a vinegar base so sweet with a kick and very crunchy. Absolutely fabulous and a wake up from the boring creamy slaws. Sandwich had a meaty texture and the sauce was the right combo of sweet and bitter if that makes sense with a hint of spice. Fries were really good with a crunchy shell and soft inner shell like absolutely perfect. Green tomatoes were on point, just the right of tang with a little crunch but not overpowering. Whatever corn salsa they put on top was absolutely perfect.Meat eater enjoyed wings (appetizer). Maple flavored sweet heat, very much enjoyed. Chicken fingers with same sauce because it was so very good.Drinks- 41st Street Tea (I think that's the name) was absolutely good with a hint of mint. The blackberry smoke was so good I ordered two to make sure I wasn't imagining how good it was. Great mixture of sweet and strong but had a sneaky kick definitely felt but it was so smooth it flowed right into the meal.Service- OUTSTANDING! Perfect atmosphere for an intimate meal with good choice conversation. Lexi (?) was FANTASTIC and went right into the perfect recommendations when asked. Absolutely loved the check ins, not too overbearing and always on time. Quick turnaround on food and drinks. Music was at a good level where I could hear every word of our conversation and none of anyone else's. We sat at the bar and got wonderful service that wasn't pushy or annoying but attentive which is so needed nowadays.Wonderful hidden gem. Love they can tailor most dishes to be vegetarian/vegan friendly with ease. Will be going back!Vegetarian options: Fried green tomatoes, fries, slaw, vegan bbq sandwich all very good!

Working in Birmingham, AL for the week and it's dinnertime! So I did some Yelp'ing with my co-worker and he was craving a burger. I found this place, we came and here's how it went!Atmosphere/Appearance: Set a little outside of downtown in a more urban, industrial-like area in this gem. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and we were able to find some street parking nearby. The Avondale Common House was smooth, welcoming and chill. I remember seeing the lights hanging on the roof and thinking, "yeah, I'm gonna like it here". Once inside it felt like an upscale neighborhood bar if that makes any sense. Lol. There were tons of stickers on the host stand and random license plates above it which gave it a more personal touch, like customers have come and left their mark. However, the bar looked modern, the tables are all wood with one-piece metal chairs and the ceiling had this super-cool wavy look to it! I had never seen anything like it before.Service: Riley took excellent care of us and I had no complaints.Food: I started off with the Berns Blackberry beer and it was delicious. It hardly tasted anything like beer. It had a fruity-sweetness to it and was moderately heavy. For dinner I went with their Common Burger. It contains 2 well-done smashburger patties topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, garlic aioli and a American cheese on a brioche bun. I added bacon and at the time, was able to substitute chihuahua cheese instead of the American. This was such a clutch sub because the Chihuahua cheese is creamy, with some great hints of acid flavor and it was super melty. The burger as a whole was delightful and quite flavorful.Value: Back then this burger was $13.00 and $1.50 to add bacon. That same burger now goes for $16.00 and it's still $1.50 for the bacon. Damn that inflation. SMH. But anyway, this place won't break the bank. It's a chill spot where it can be date night, gathering with friends or whatever. In conclusion, I really liked this place and I would totally pay them another visit if I'm in the area. You should check them out too!

We started out for brunch at one of our favorite places, Avondale Common House. When we got there it was closed then I remembered reading an article about how they were moving so I googled their address...we found them at the old Fancy's location across from Avondale Park. Great atmosphere and wonderful service /food as always ?♥️? so glad they just moved locations and not closed completely!! Happy Brunch day ?

Went to the new location today and things don't seem as well put together as they have been in the past at the old location. We ordered brunch - breakfast fries, tacos, burritos, waffle and a breakfast plate. We were pretty much boxed in because they were out of chicken so that eliminated 40% off the bunch menu items. The tacos are missing some type of pico or salsa, the eggs on the breakfast plate were extremely fried overwell, and the grits were absolutely to salty. We did ask for overwell fried eggs but the egg white was basically burnt. And the queso in the grits with the extra salt was to much, although the consistency was on point. Also felt like the queso is over used on the menu, but that could be based on what we had to order because they were out of chicken. Great location and nice atmosphere, but I'll probably give them some time to shake out kinks before returning.

First time visiting yesterday from out of town. Was super impressed! We went around 2pm and the atmosphere was chill and not too packed. Our server was awesome and was great at recommending the best side options. The portions are also huge! I had the Cesar salad and it was enough for 2 meals. The hummus was also amazing.

I was very excited to try but when I called I learned the menu was different than what I saw online. Still got the chicken dinner but who I got it for wasn't afan of how salty everything was. Will definitely try again, but hoping the menu is still pretty veggie friendly.

Got to brunch on their patio around 11:30 on Sunday, and our party of 4 were seated right away. The weather was perfect so we chose patio seating. There was live music, perfect for the atmosphere imo. Two adults got cocktails which they liked and I got a Ferus Ursa, a local favorite of mine. The food came out hot and quickly, and we all enjoyed our dishes. I had chicken & waffles and it was very good, but the accompanying fried egg was overdone and unnecessary. Overall, everyone was pleased and we left full and happy. We will definitely hit ACH for brunch again.
