You'll need reservation if you want to go there. The food is really good, they offer delicious drinks and desserts.The only thing I didn't like at all, was that the waiter came to our table every five minutes to check on us and didn't let us enjoy our conversation. It felt like he wanted us to leave as soon as possible.

Very nice atmosphere. Simple but effective. The fried cauliflower was delicious. The ginger glaze on the cauliflower is to die for. I actually substituted the yum yum sauce on the wings for the ginger sauce and it was marvelous. The wings were crispy and smokey. The Kobe burger melts in your mouth. The coconut bread pudding was 5 star. Can't wait to visit again.

The atmosphere of this place is cool. It's small but has a dark and edgy vibe. All of the food I've tried has been pretty good, including the wings, garlic shrimp noodles, ribeye, and pork belly bao buns. The duck nachos were the BEST and a MUST TRY! The menu is not too badly priced so we ordered a bunch of appetizers to try, two entrees, and two beers for about $100. They also have quite a few drink options. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for Asian fusion food and vibes.

The food was good. It was our first time to try it. We had really good service and I had the special for the night and my husband had the steak which he loved. We will return.

My husband went in to grab us a table at 5:30pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was half empty and he stated that there were three adults in which it seemed the waitress was going to seat us but once he mentioned we also had a baby with us “suddenly” we needed a reservation and they didn’t have availability until 8:30pm. So we left to eat somewhere else but once we walked by later the restaurant still wasn’t full. I don’t see how it makes sense to turn away paying customers when your restaurant is empty but it seems the issue was mainly with us having a baby. We were only visiting Birmingham so very unlikely I will ever be back but this is a warning to anyone who may have kids not to waste your time with this place.

We’ve been here a few times, but this most recent one was different. Our server wasn't great at all. The wings were cold, as if they'd been sitting next to a cooler. Everything else was ok. It was mostly just poor service. I hope things get better.

Fried Katsu Chicken The chicken was very thin but full of flavor. Bruce our waiter did an outstanding job. This is one of my go to places. You can never go wrong with the wings and soft shell crab. I am doing dry January so I had NA IPA that was delicious. Definitely be back soon. This is 1 of my favorite restaurants in the Metro
have been excited to try east west for a while and they did not disappoint. We went on NYE so they were pretty busy, yet the staff was very attentive and helpful. They had a special NYE menu that included some dishes that were not on their regular menu. We started with the duck nachos and wings. I personally thought the wings were too salty. The ducks nachos were my favorite because of the crispy wonton chips. We decided to go with a NYE special- the flounder and two regular menu items- the chicken katsu and Mongolian ribeye. All three dishes were absolutely delicious. If I had to choose a favorite, I would say the ribeye was my favorite. It was tender and juicy with a sweet flavor. The chicken katsu was nice and crispy. It was good but steak over chicken of course. I would definitely order the flounder again if it became a regular menu item. For desert, we shared the nye special. It was good! We also ordered the Mr. West which was sweet and Osaka Spritz which I could never really decide how I felt about because of the rose and vodka mix. We have already decided on our next visit we will be ordering the ribeye!

Our first time here and while the food was okay, it was so loud. Like I could barely hear our waiter or my husband. The service was great for us. I had the burger which honestly was 10/10 but the fries were basic. We ordered the duck nachos which were good, but so so small. My husband ordered the 4 types of boa and while they were good, they weren’t amazing. The whole place seemed overhyped for us. I will say again, the service was really great and that’s huge.

Made a reservation for 8:00 and our table was given to "the owners friends at 8:30" so then had to wait until 8:50 to be seated. Then order wasn't taken for 10 minutes and the service was so bad. Hostess was mad when we asked why we had to wait 50 extra minutes for our table. We ate for about 20 minutes and then the hostess and the "owners friends" started picking up our plates and turned the lights on. I'm so disappointed by my experience and the hostess was so rude when we said we had a bad experience, wish I could be refunded for this meal. Never experienced so much staff from restaurant workers before :(

We were told we had a thirty minute wait only to wait over an hour. Our table was then given to friends of the owner. The hostess was snarky also. They also didn’t seat a group that had a reservation. Don’t waste your time.
