*Ask for Derrick to be your server.*We visited 280 Longhorns on a Sunday at noon and received the absolute best service we've ever had at a casual restaurant. Our party of 4 sat down thirsty (each of us went through at least 3 refills) and hungry (3 appetizers, 4 entrees) and Derrick didn't miss a beat. We never had to ask for a refill. He timed our food perfectly. Food was delicious, by the way. Everything came to and left the table with a smile. We bragged on him to his manager, Scott, who was also on top of his restaurant. Scott bragged back.Excellent service. Delicious food. Great camaraderie.Definitely traveling back to this particular restaurant!

We tried to eat here and were so excited about it. The restaurant would now allow my family of 8 to sit together. We are ONE family. 4 of the party were kids. Ridiculous and won't be back. The manager couldn't even justify this. No mask requirement for anyone, but won't let a family sit together!?

Derrick was amazing! We eat at Longhorn about 4 times a month...while they are all good, this location shines! The manager Scott knows exactly what he is doing.

Grate better than the Tuscaloosa one and the chef was a great cook and are waiter was one of the best I have ever had Grate guy he the one going two school for Is graphic design

The food here is generally just like you want it. The steaks are hit or miss if you are trying to get one well done. Generally my wife and I have to send ours back about thirty to forty percent of the time. They seem to be afraid to overcook it, and err on the side of medium to medium well. The French fries and the French onion soup tend to be a little too salty.

Great service. Tasty food. Nice salad too - some places serve almost all lettuce but this salad was better than some others. The bread was warm and fresh. The steak (6 oz.) was just right.

Great service at a reasonably easy to access location along Highway 280 in a bustling part of town. Food was good as expected from Longhorn and the manager, while brief, made sure to check that out steaks were cooked correctly with a smile.

I was in Bham last Saturday and I stopped at LONGHORN on Hwy 280 tonight.I was greeted by the owner Scott, who was taking names to be seated.Scott spelled my name the way his cousin spells hers[Sonja]. I said hey man that's wrong.Scott smiling at me then said let me handle this. So I did.....Let me tell you my dinner was some kind of delicious ? you hear me... C picture below *****I had a very long day and nothing to eat all day. I was so hungry that once my food came out I was eating my salad that it was the steak.Scott brought my steak out and saw me tearing ?that salad up laughing at me Scott then brought me a apron to use as a bib and even tied it up around my neck for me....... Just look ?at that steak... um um lawd have mercy!!!!I HadHouse salad w/ ranch dressingStuffed guoda cheese mushroomsThe Outlaw Ribeye Steak w/ rice pilaf & asparagusStrawberry & Raspberry lem-mo-nadeAnd then thatMolten Chocolate cake w/ hot fugde inside it and Vanilla Bean ice cream sliding ever so gingerly down the sides of the cake ? just Mingling with one another.I fell in [as my daddy calls it] desert love.Scott if you read this whenever I'm in Bham I'm your cousin from now on K. Seated promptly. Attentive, timely service. Food came out fresh and prepared to perfection. Soups, salads, steaks, Mac n cheese, veggies and fries were superb. Refills on drinks were done without asking. The manager (Scott?) provided a little something extra for our youngest grandkid. Next time we're in town you can bet on a return visit.

Tonight's meal was fantastic, but we've had this location's food around 30+ times in 9 years, 95% of those as pick up/to-go. I would give it 4 stars out if 5 only because there have been times where stuff was wrong in to-go or meal was cold or other reasons, but everything from the service to the meal itself was top notch tonight. GM is turning things around!

Our waiter was great. He smiled while talking with us. He recommended the full rack of ribs to my husband and they were great. Fell off the bone.

It was average. my waitress was very attentive. That's the only good thing I can say. The carpet smelled like mildew and the front door glass was dirty. I actually like the hoover location much better. Inverness location needs to get some pointers from the hoover location . Hoover location every employee within reach was asking did we need anything , except for the young ladies who were taking call in orders,, i guess that's what they do , anyway the atmosphere was totally different , very clean and upbeat and everyone act as if they were happy to be at work and very energetic. Needless to say the hoover location will definitely be my spot.

Terrible customer service. Travelers DO NOT STOP or order TO GO from this location. I was treated very rudely by the manager in person and who ever answers the phone. Call to place a to go order at 9:50. They said they were not excepting anymore to go orders. So I went inside to order to go, the manager said she could not accommodate us. So actually they should advertise that they close at 10. They begin closing at 9 and publish they close at 11. Many servers and workers leisurely walking around doing a little cleaning. Not many customers. Friends visiting workers at the to go counter where they could have taken my order. We sat in and the server was good. This location will not last long. Terrible culture and leadership.The worse I’ve experienced at a LongHorn. Totally disappointed.
