“We absolutely loved Charlie Foster's. It's a quaint space with the Perfect Pink Pour of decor. Ground To Order coffee. Super Comfy seating. Great Natural Lighting. The music was jamming and the live plants are beautiful touches of earth!! I even chose a book from the library to bring home with me and I have some to share as well - that's if it lasts after the upcoming rebranding to include wine and take away the Pink Perfection that's currently setting them apart from any other coffee house in the race. Hopefully it doesn't become just another cup of calm interrupted by happy hour.“
“This has been a great place to meet with friends. The servers have been great, and do really well with remembering what your order was during the evening on your bar table. These are one of the few places that will let you know when they have added to the gratuity charge on your bill because of the size of your group.Parking: The parking lot can be a little crazy, but with some creativity you can usually park at some of the nearby businesses without concern about leaving your car away from the establishment.“

“Was in town for work and had a free night. Super tiny restaurant, and reservations are required. However, my colleague and I were able to sit at the bar and eat our meal. Very intimate setting. Served immediately and quickly. Ordered the fish special. It was outstanding. A lovely grouper with a vegetable ratatouille in a burre Blanc sauce. A little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. If ever back in town, I would definitely eat here again.“

Taco meat is extremely salty. Unless you like super salty food, don't eat the beef taco meat. That is the only thing I don't like that is on the menu.“

Paired with a side of shrimp fried rice it was pretty good, but I ended up stopping at what a burger for a small burger later that night. So to leave a little hungry was 45 dollars. Also service was little sub par, only had my canal water (tasted suspect) refilled one time. Everyone I was with enjoyed their food, quality was good just not much of it.“

This is real deli sandwiches hot or cold as well as many other options. I would definitely suggest the turkey Reuben. The service is fantastic. They have awesome sizes of beer and great prices! This is not a craft beer place. Do not expect to have a large selection of craft beer on draft. I come here for lunch on Saturdays mostly. But I do occasionally find myself there late night, and it is still one of my favorite bars in Huntsville. There is obviously smoking inside, and that’s the biggest downfall for me. If you don’t want to be around cigarette smoke, you are fine going during the day for lunch. It is more smoky if you go later at night.“

The manager there was Frankie and she took good care of me and made my experience as good as I remember it being. She was friendly and very courteous! I chose the buid your own burger lunch special that came with fresh-cut, crispy/tender fries and a canned drink. I got Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, and their house-made Pickles ( which by the way are delicious!! ) on mine, and as a lifelong serious home cook I could find no way to improve it. Excellent, kind, and very helpful staff, and you can choose the doneness of the meat. My Husband and I will absolutely be back here on a very regular basis. She caught the mistake on her own) and when we got our food one item came with bacon that we had requested removed (that might not be her fault)We both enjoyed our meal immensely except for the grits which were rather lumpy and had a slight burnt flavor to them. The drinks were actually really good. My second drink seemed smaller than mu first but I did not complain. I ordered some sweet potato fries. “Hadn't been to Drakes before so decided to try it out around noon on a Saturday with my wife and two kids. Despite being pretty busy we were seated without a wait. Waitress was nice and took orders, drinks arrived pretty quickly. Ambiance was kind of a brighter sports bar but still family-friendly. Loud music and conversation but not obnoxiously so, lot of families present.On to the food. Let's be honest - the place is a little on the expensive side. Cup of chili for $6, salads start at $14 and go north of $18, all the burgers are $14+ with one side etc. That being said, I don't knock of stars for higher prices, you can check the menu before you show up and go elsewhere, but I do want to point it out.I ordered the Triple Double cheeseburger Sliders and was able to sub out the side for chili for $2, which I felt was a good deal. The burgers were well done but sliders are kinda to get anything else and they tasted good. To be fair, they didn't ask how I wanted them so that's just how they come. No complaints about the burgers besides the size. Chili seemed like it was made fresh and tasted really good. Scattering of beans, hamburger was diced very fine. Great flavor, not too hot or top greasy.Wife got the chopped Chicken Salad but opted to swap out chicken for salmon. She thought there was a bit too much dressing (order it on the side). She fel the salmon was cooked a little more then she asked for but was still good -- a good entree sized serving of salmon. Everything else in salad was great.Kids got mac-n-cheese and chicken strips. The chicken strips were grilled and they were probably the best kids chicken s trips I've tried. My daughter thought they were one of the better ones she'd tried as well. Mac-N-Cheese was good.$65 prior to gratuity for all that, two waters, 1 soda and a 23oz beer. Kinda high but they offered a military discount that was very generous. Came out to just over $51 after discount which I appreciated a lot.As long as you are OK paying for quality good, you won't be disappointed -- food here is great and service is good too.“
