Score. Totally hit the jackpot with this craft brewery. The tangerine kolsch at Yellowhammer will go down in history as one of my all-time favorites. It has a really nice citrus punch into a really refreshing beer which was perfect for the Spring day. It is located at the 805 campus which has other breweries and businesses as well. Their seating was abundant and there was a mixture of outdoor/covered and outdoor/uncovered as well as indoor seating. Being that I live in Nashville I kept thinking that if they had a brewery there it would've been packed 24/7 but on a Sunday in Huntsville it was not even at half-capacity. If you get hungry there is an adjacent business Earth & Stone Wood Fired Pizza. This is a great local spot!
I recently got the opportunity to visit Yellowhammer on a visit home with some friends. I was looking for a brewery for us to check out and Yelp came through with yet another great place. I ordered the Brilliant Pebbles because I prefer cider over standard beer. I'm glad I did because it tasted delicious and the berry flavors paired perfectly with the pizza I ordered from the restaurant attached. It was a group of 6 of us and we easily found a table in the covered patio area. Everyone loved their drinks. I see why this place has 4.5 stars! I'd definitely go back and try something new.
They some excellent cocktails and their 10th Anniversary Dobell was awesome left with 4 caned on site
Wow! Can you say fulfillment?! I tried a flight on the seasonal menu on Dec 21st, the North Star night. Amazing! The planets really aligned for me in Huntsville, AL! I cannot wait to come back!
I have always loved Yellow Hammer's beer. T-minus, Frakenhammer, the Bride of Frakenhammer, Quad Loco and their 9th anniversary Imperial Stout to name a few. When I got to visit the brewery, this was a real treat. They are located across the field from Straight to Ale and the 805 campus. They have an outside and inside seating area plus a pizza restaurant on the inside.
Very neat place! Almost any day of the week you will find people at this place having a good time. They make their own fabulous beers with good options. The staff is very friendly and happy to help in anyway they can. Place is always clean. Great price points. I look forward to coming back here when I get back in town. A++
Great brewery with outside seating, inside seating, pizza place attached and doggy friendly. I recommend the sampler - lots and lots of good choices. Wifey luved the IPA's and I was into barrel aged dark hammer. Lots of cans to go, unfortunately no bottled barrel aged though. You can do samplers, 8oz, 12oz and 16 so can mix and match. They have over 20 beers on tap!
If you are in Huntsville, Alabama, and you are NOT at Yellowhammer Brewing, you are wasting your time. The vibe here is super laid-back, the beer is out-of-this-world good, and the service is second to none! Mel makes everyone feel like a local, and goes out of her way to introduce you to selections you might like. This was our first trip to Hunts, but this place alone will keep us coming back. CANNOT RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY ENOUGH!!
Very cool place, live music, clean, very friendly, good service, own beers, tables outside, good view, parking lot, great environment,
I checked out this brewery on a Monday evening, and so I was not expecting much. The service here is fantastic. The bartenders do not try to force conversation on you, but they also are open to friendly back and forth if you are in the mood. Moreover, they were happy to give me other brewery options in the area based on my taste. The beer selection was outstanding. A bunch of IPAs, and even a sour.
We stumbled across this place while looking for another bar over that way. This place is a hidden gem! It has a cozy atmosphere and house made drinks. We'll definitely return!
The Cheating Heart iPA is one of the best IPA's I've had in Huntsville. I also really enjoy the Yellowhammer Rebellion. When the place gets busy, it can get really hard to navigate your way through the bar - if they can get that revolved, you get five stars.
I love this vintage atmosphere. This is a wonderful location for pictures and parties. There are lots of conversation starter vintage pieces, from the beautiful creative drinks to the 1950's, 60's and 70's furniture and brick-a-brack. The furniture is very comfortable, inviting and beachy. I also appreciated the vast variety of lighting, as it gives the space varying depth. The cocktails and fish tacos were simply delicious and lovely to look at. A+++! I will be coming back, sooner rather than later!
A bit small, but great beers a great selection and REALLY GOOD PIZZA. If you are about and about and need a good pizza and a good brew, highly suggested.
This is our favorite place to go for great cocktails and to play vintage board games. Never too crowded, so it’s perfect for introverts that want to get out on date nights.
