Martin’s is a must-go when in Montgomery. The fried chicken is famous, as is the sweet tea. The place was packed, the food came out quick, and it was good to catch up with old friends. My only disappointment, they ran out of collard greens!
This is good place for some Great fried chicken. It was hot & crispy seasoned just enough. The cornbread is served hot with a little crispness (needed some honey or syrup to go with it, they don't have that. Will bring my own next time). We did arrive late in the evening so a lot of the veggies had run out. We had cabbage- good, butter beans-ok, green beans-ok too. They normally have Italian green beans, but this night they had to resort to string beans & they were not seasoned...read full review

We have eaten there many times, but this night was perfect. The fried chicken was crisp and tasty, the cornbread fresh and hot with crispy edges, the veggies perfectly seasoned, not too salty. On a good night Martin's knows how to get it just right!
