“Stumbled upon this place while leaving the zoo, and I was very pleased. I had the Chicken Pesto Bowl, which was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and the size of the bowl was just right. The young lady who took my order was very helpful, suggesting their most popular menu items. I’ll definitely be back to try some other menu items.“

“Dyron's has the right stuff - a friendly and not snobby hostess that actually "takes care " of you - a top rated friendly bartender - and the servers are very knowledgeable and attentive - no hiding out. This is what makes a restaurant great. And fabulous food does not hurt.Update 11-30-23: We dined at Dyron's again last night. Great waiter and fabulous food - it's always a fun place to go.“

“Authentic ruebens and many other delicious sammiches and eats! The best (and only) real deal, fresh made limeades in the city. One of the few remaining true soda fountains / sandwich shops around. Bustling and hustling during the lunchtime feedings. Fun and busy atmosphere for sure. Great folks at Gilchrests too - always the same dedicated, and super friendly staff at the helm. Must be how they have maintained such consistency and earned their loyal patrons! It's been a regular stop for me and my family for at least the past 40 years. We've all been raised together on Gilchrests limeades for multiple generations!! Yumsville indeed.“

Chili Dog

“Great dogs, Birmingham staple. The kraut and the special sauce hot dog is phenomenal. I could smash like 5 of them no problem. The beef special dog is basically like the original dog with kraut, mustard and the sauce with the addition of ground beef on top. Soooo good!! Lastly the chili cheese dog is quintessentially American in a food. Classic. Environment is a tight space but you wouldn’t want it any other way. The service was friendly and prompt. This is a must stop in Birmingham.“

“Unique. Special. Nostalgic. This is, without a single doubt in my mind, the best spot to get Sunday dinner in the entirety of the birmingham metro.A quaint, cozy little bar and restaurant in mountain Brook pulled off the unthinkable: a SINGLE menu item offer during dinner. And it doesn’t disappoint. Well, it does disappoint… bc eventually you’ve eaten all of it and you’ll wish there was more. The chef has devised a “one special dish” on Sunday nights exclusive, where he makes only one dish…. And the best way I can describe it is “nostalgia for dinner”. We paired it perfectly with a cab blend that didn’t just work with the pot roast and veggies, but also with the home made blueberry open faced cobbler that was the perfect amount to share for 2.Dinner was delicious and perfectly cooked, reminding me of the truest form of Alabama home cooking. Comforting, inviting, and extremely flavorful. My only regret was that I simply didn’t have enough stomach room for a second order. It was that good.According to the restaurant, each Sunday will be a new, uniquely crafted dish by chef. Exclusively one dish for dinner from 5 to close, only. If you want something truly unique, special, and delicious, I can’t suggest this more vehemently. However, I would STRONGLY suggest a reservation, regardless of party size as their space is limited and waiting for this meal, watching everyone eat before you, is not recommended, as the room will fill with the incredible smell of your childhood kitchen, making you wish you had prepared for the evening more efficiently. There IS a backside patio, but alas it is winter, and who knows what the temperature will be right now. So, plan accordingly. My girlfriend and I have finally found an amazing Sunday evening place to have dinner…. But who would even call it dinner? No, this isn’t dinner. This is a childhood meal as an adult, and we couldn’t have loved it more.“

“Five stars for the restaurant! Zero stars for the group of entitled parents who refused to control their screaming (literally screeeaaaaming) children, letting them sprint around the entire patio, throw footballs dangerously close to the street parking, kick rocks into the walkways, constantly get underfoot of the waitstaff, and block the doors to impede other patrons. A full hour of dealing with that made me want to out-scream the children. Get it together, Real Housewives of Mountain Brook. Shout out to the workers tonight who had to deal with such a horrible group.“

We had them and walked on by many, many waiting for a table. If I had to describe it to someone, I would use the words “upscale sports bar”. We will likely go back.“

“This was our first time eating at Craft's since we're new to the area. Delicious! So good that we came back the next day.The food was piping hot and the chicken bites are the best I've ever had. Finally someone made them with high quality white meat with no yucky surprises (well trimmed away from the bone. IYKYN.The fries are cut in a most unusual shape and very crunchy on the outside, tender & fluffy on the inside.I chose ranch as my dip and it is made fresh - my favorite kind. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and in the cutest part of Mountain Brook. If you've never been, I can 100% recommend a visit.Parking: We didn't have any problems during either visit, but from what I could gather, it's street parking in a cute village style walkable shopping area. It could become more challenging on weekends and weeknights in the summer. Several handicapped spaces right in front of the location, van friendly.“
