Amazing - far exceeded our expectations!!!Our hotel recommended this restaurant and gave details on what they liked about it. It sounded unique, so we gave it a try. OMG! It had a great atmosphere in a little neighborhood shopping center. The service was great, our server was friendly and took great care of us. They have Bushwackers! We also had two of the grits and green dishes - pulled pork and blackened catfish. Both were delicious! And, we had the butterscotch bread pudding. Everything was SO good! What a great experience.

The food was really good, but at their slowest time of the day, it took 45 min-an hour to get our food, to get a refill, to get a to go box, and after we had the to go box, waited another 15 min for the check, to the point that I had to get up and pretty much go stand by the bar where our waitress was. She was so busy flaunting herself to a customer at the bar, she couldn’t be bothered to bring the check. Just for 2 bbq sandwiches and an app, we were there for almost two hours from start to finish. Many times we thought about leaving and going somewhere else. In the beginning when we were waiting to be seated and order our food, the place was practically empty, yet none of the employees could be bothered to help us. They were chilling before their busy time, and seemingly neglectful to the customers not at the bar section.

They NEVER put sauce on the pulled pork sandwich even though it is on the menu.
Down home and delicious, that chicken sandwich was fire. It is like Chick-fil-A for adults. I think about this place often, and while I don’t have to be in Birmingham very frequently, I’m definitely going to find a reason to go back. The french fries were regular, but it doesn’t matter. Just skip the fries in order two chicken sandwiches! Lol

The food here has always been good, but the service has steadily declined since it opened. 45 minutes and counting for a barbecue sandwich and fries is unacceptable. When I pointed this out to the waitress, her response was "I know". No drink refills during the wait. Got up and left.
ALL around awesome ... the food was kickin like Bruce Lee....the atmosphere is light and fun music in the background not too intrusive our server Jack knows his restaurant very well great recommendations.... nothing bad to say about this place at all....
