“New on menu, Carnitas, are the best I've ever had, hands down! Was so impressed with food, friendly staff, cleanliness, and they managed my husband's food allergy with graciousness. We were both more than satisfied with the quality and quantity of the meals, plus the norms, rice and beans, chips and salsa, were excellent! Can't wait to return and do it again!!!Vegetarian options: Just noted that there were several options available. Son and DIL can join us in the future.“
“Frida's is one of my favorite places to eat in Northport. I have lunch several times a week. Can recommend this establishment wholeheartedly.Parking: Easy parking in Winn-Dixie shopping center lot. Plenty of pull-through spaces for large vehicles and trailers.“
“Our favorite Mexican place in Tuscaloosa!! The Tarascos dip is fabulous. I love the grilled nachos but if I’m sharing something with my family we get the Gaby’s special - plenty of food for myself and my husband, and enough to share with our three-year-old twins. They are obsessed with the chicken!Another reason this is one of our favorites - the fried ice cream is always spectacular. Sometimes they just use vanilla ice cream, but the majority of the time they use other flavors - cookies and cream is my favorite! You cannot specify what ice cream flavor you want, but it will typically be something other than vanilla. We have always had amazing service, food and drinks here.Pro-tip - ask for Nacho to be your server!“
“One of my favorite restaurants. They always have the Bama game on and whatever big game is happening outside of Bama. Service is nice, food is delicious, price is respectable. Be careful entering the parking lot because it's steep, it can scrape your car. Also, I got rice beans and salad with my food which is always nice. This is my go-to Mexican place in town.“
“Food was delicious as always. I met the absolute sweetest little girl in the drive-thru last Saturday. She greeted us with a big smile and was so friendly. She said her name was Nae. My bag was missing a soft taco, she apologized and happily got it for me. You rarely see good customer service these days and I greatly appreciated her kind attitude. I wish I could give this 5 stars but while the window was open I overheard another girl making food and rude comments. Every time I come here when she's there she's always being loud, or talking about someone. I'm not telling anyone what to do, but maybe this restaurant should get more workers like Nae. This girl needs a raise!“
“Food was amazing! Every single thing we ordered was so delicious and you can tell they put a lot of love in it. Their natural drinks are really natural, their tortillas are handmade (not bought in stores), and their prices are great. Nothing goes over $15 and you can get super full with that price. Outstanding! - I really don't understand the bad reviews from this place. SERVICE IS VERY FAST.“
“Has become my favorite place in Northport since I started working here in August. I'm sure there are other places - maybe better - but this one is close and really, really good. Haven't felt the need to go further. Haven't had a bad dish here but my go to has been the Mexican Alhambra. I don't think it'll ever disappont.“
“I usually stay away from fast food. But I’ve stopped at taco casa twice lately for a little cheat. The food has been amazing! The combo #1 and taco burgers good lord they are so good. The two times I’ve went the workers were so kind.? “
“This place has always been great, but going last week was a little underwhelming. Initially hit by the smell of sewage when we walked in, we should have left then. But the other Mexican restaurant nearby was closed, and this restaurant has always been a great experience. Not to mention being a Special Needs Mom, there's something also special about the owner that draws us to this place. The food is usually really tasty but during this visit, some of it was under seasoned. The house hot sauces were great. The salsa was good. The street tacos were good. The chicken tacos were what were under seasoned as well as the rice and beans.Staff is always courteous and familiar faces there. Hopefully the next visit they will be back to normal with the odors gone and the cooks back on their game with seasonings.“
