Ran the half marathon with a group of my veteran brothers. They offered free beer after the race and then told us they ran out of beer. How does a bar run out of beer? Definitely a disappointing establishment, can't believe they would not serve

Stopped in here after half marathon with a party of 4. Go somewhere else. Found hair in my pizza. Everybody else said their food was flavorless. It didn’t seem clean, tables were sticky, napkins on the floor, etc.

Heat advertised they had free beer after the half marathon, but very conveniently "ran out" of beer when me and wife went to redeem our free beers after running 13.1 miles. Definitely false advertising. We then asked for cider that we would pay for, my wife has a european accent and the manager disrespectfully looked at her and acted rude when all we did was ask for ciders. The host told us that they don't have ciders. What kind of college bar doesn't have ciders? I am ultimately angry at how the manager acted towards my wife, he definitely had racist and or sexist overtones. This used to be a good college bar to go to on a weekend but I will not be returning.

They were supposed to give a free beer to those that finished the 5k run but they conveniently “ran out”. And wouldn’t give a free drink from anywhere across the bar…after a marathon. Pretty bad. Would not recommend.

One of the best casual places to eat in Tuscaloosa! We have been coming to Heat since 2016. The pizza is fabulous and I highly recommend the Street Taco pizza - one of their latest specials! The bartenders are awesome and the wait staff is always fantastic. We appreciate the happy hour prices, too!

Take time to smell the pizza…and eat a few slices at Heat Pizza Bar in downtown Tuscaloosa. Voted on by followers of All Things Tuscaloosa (Facebook) as having the City’s Best Pizza, they were named as one of the 2024 winners of The Best of T-Town festures. This restaurant offers inside and outside dining which has a wonderful view of Government Plaza, an events park in downtown. Their menu offers a nice selection of traditional and creative pizzas, along with a tempting selection of adult beverages. The owner, Frank,is hands-on here in the restaurant to make sure things so smoothly and they continue to have happy customers. The staff is also professional and truly seem to enjoy being there. The vibe is chill and cozy with exposed brick, wooden floors, and interesting decor featuring some very cool Nick Saban art canvases featured prominently around the bar. There are also seven 65”TVs around the room, so you won’t miss a single minute of any game!Heat Pizza Bar has been around since 2015 offering up tasty pizzas and drinks to Tuscaloosa residents and visitors. It’s another reason to love our city. Roll Tide!

Pizza is fresh and hot with thin crispy crust. Beer is cold, bloody marry is fabulous! Easy going atmosphere, you'll see collage students, families with little kids, and couples on date night. Service was top notch!

Delicious pizza, even better salads and the ranch at Heat is incredible. Their cocktails are also very good!!! A fun place to watch an away game or catch an NFL football game!

I had no hostess great me it took 15 minutes to get a anyones attention without being rude. I ordered and it took like 40 minutes for my pizza which was laying on the counter in covered for like 5 minutes well I just looked over there and saw a random pizza sitting on like the short wall next to the kitchen . I had to asking one of the girls that was just chatting it up with a co worker . pizza was a mess all the toppings piled in the center not even spread evenly over the pizza . I heard girls complaining about not getting very good tips . well maybe if the check on they're customers and keep the drinks full without customers having to wave them down and ask for a refill they might get tipped better. oh and I asked for military discount because I am a veteran and they actually said discounts for only active military . that is pretty disrespectful for Veterans who HAVE BEEN IN COMBAT . just saying . I hope they get their staff in order and next time I come it is a better experience . I used to love Heat pizza but it's going down hill as far as service and quality of prepared food

Visiting town so stopped on friend's recommendation. Disappointing to say the least. First, it's a Tuesday night-I shouldn't have to ask another table's waiter with a water pitcher to fill our glasses as she walks by when our glasses were empty for most of the meal (our server never did fill glasses during entire meal). Ordered Supreme pizza, which is shown on board inside restaurant AND online menu. Server tells me that's an old board-no supreme available. OK, I order a Standard with mushrooms & black olives. Pizza arrives with no mushrooms & kalamata olives. Server tells me mushrooms under cheese. OK, not only were there no mushrooms but the entire pizza had a whopping 4 slices of pepperoni. Like the person making the pizza got sidetracked & forgot to finish the pizza. Chalk olives up to regional difference in pizza toppings (even though I specifically asked for BLACK olives), but trying to be understanding & we were hungry. The last straw though was when bill, charged extra for toppings, arrived after our meal was completely over (server never did return to table to ask if I found mushrooms or if the meal was ok). Asking if I wanted a water to go when paying (after not servicing the drinks the entire meal) just about pushed me over the edge. Call it irony, a wait staff's bad day, or being unfamiliar with the menu, but not impressed with much of tonight's experience.

Love Tyler Demsly. Will eat here year-round for that's great service of his. So sweet, and caring, really listens to his customers!! My mom loved him.

I was last here on April 21st. I took my nephews on a Friday night. We got there about 6:30. It was pretty busy, and they told us there would be a little wait time. I went to the bar and got me a Yuenglimg beer, carefully avoiding all the woke beer. The bartender was nice, and I got my beer quick, and before I finished it, we were called. They put us outside, which was nice. My nephew and his wife sat down, and the bench seat broke! The hostess got the manager, which apologized and told us our bill would be half off. At this point, it was 5 star visit. However, the good times wouldn't last much longer. This is the point where we met our waitress. We put in our order where we ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees. It was around 7 at this time when I got my sweet tea. The drinks and food all arrived, except for my oldest nephew's. At this time, it's still not bad. We managed to get one refill during our time waiting on my nephew to get his food. Our waitress was busy the whole time, but unfortunately, she wasn't busy doing her job. She was laughing, talking, and hugging all the people around us, but very little service. All in all, we were there about 3 hours. I had 1 beer and 2 glasses of sweet tea. If you're keeping count, that's one drink for each hour. My nephew took his pizza home when he finally got it around 9:30. What's amazing is the waitress couldn't understand why we weren't happy with the meal. I sure hope that she's not a student at one of the universities. If so, they have no standards. They get 2 stars for the quality of the food. It was good, those of us that got some. However, it's hard to see it through the incompetence of our waitress.
