We had sunday brunch here and the food was amazing! Best chicken and waffles in town. Our server was polite and efficient. The space in this restaurant is lacking greatly. On both sides of our table we had the people behind pushing us in. The space also echos a lot so we couldnt hear each other well so we couldnt really talk.

The food is over salted and cold. Service sucks. We ordered an appetizer and did not get plates or napkins. The girl seemed extremely miserable and clueless about the menu. The fries were cold, and steak was well done. That was ordered rare. The server left our dirty dishes on the table in front of us after coming by multiple times. This place was extremely empty, I see why!I was excited about coming back here. Unfortunately, we will definitely not come back

Waiter Will wasn’t friendly at all! Attitude was very dry! Will would have let us die of thirst, he didn’t come to the table but twice and that’s only because we called him over! He didn’t deserve a tip however we still left him one. What type of waiter stares at a guest and never comes to check on them?! Will!!! Food was good, service sucked!!! Won’t ever go back!

Food was not as described on the menu and did not seem like anyone was prepared for dinner service. My dinner was supposed to come with cous cous and i got white rice. My friend was supposed to get risotto and got the same white rice. Service was not great but our waitress was very kind and sweet. Just not prepped for table of 8.

My wife and I tried Sweet Home for the first time. How have we missed it? Open since 2014, and if you are in Tuscaloosa it should not be missed. On University Boulevard between The Locker Room and the Embassy Suites Hotel, it is very convenient. It was a football weekend, and we grabbed apparently the last reservation, which was early (5:15). The entrance is small, under a blue canopy, but fairly spacious inside. We were seated by a front glass front, which was great for people watching. It's motto is New York with a Southern Flair, and it lived up to the billing we started by splitting a Caesar salad, which was good but not exceptional. I had pasta with shrimp and my wife had chicken. Both were excellent. The food was outstanding and the service was, too. Not to pricey, either, to my pleasant surprise. Great place. We will go back.
