Not gluten free, not made in house as advertised. As someone with celiac disease and type one diabetes it is imperative ensure the food is as advertised. While people realize the risks of eating out you CANNOT advertise gluten free if it is not. People get sick from these things.Staff were friendly and coffee is good.

Great find! Roomy and cozy at the same time. Women at the counter were very helpful with explaining the different beverages. My daughter got her lavender haze with oat milk and really enjoyed it. We also got some avocado toast delicious but was pricey. Still delicious though. I would come back to try other menu items.

I used to live right above UPerk. I love the coffee and atmosphere.

I had a meeting here today and had to bring my two children with me. The young lady at the counter was so kind to them, every guest that came in, and me. My kids enjoyed their experience. We will be back again for lunch.

This unique little coffee house is tucked away on a side street off The Strip in Downtown Tuscaloosa. It’s a friendly place that offers a large space full of cozy sitting areas great for conversations and studying. It kind of reminds me of the “Friends” Central Perk. The coffee is really good and there’s a great selection of baked goods. Reagan assisted me with my selections and was helpful and knowledgeable. She told me she had worked there for about 1.5 years which is remarkable itself. She makes a great caramel macchiato, too. Be sure to check out UPerk. You’ll love it.

It is a wonderful coffee shop in downtown Tuscaloosa with a large variety of coffee. You will find from Starbucks like to strong caffeine as macciato or cortado. Excellent ambient and better attention.

I don't like to write a negative review but in this case I was hugely disappointed. The cafe is very clean and well laid out. Plenty of room and not hot or stuffy. However, the food and wait were really poor. I ordered an avocado toast with a side of fruit and an iced coffee with light ice. $12.My iced coffee was full of ice and had to be redone. After 45 minutes, with no food in sight and and very few customers, I went back to the counter to ask about my order. The young lady had no idea where it was or when it would be done. She just stared and smiled. After I pressed that it was more than 45 minutes for the toast, the manager stepped in to help the situation. For that, I appreciated it. They did take the toast off my bill but when it was ready, it was an untoasted peice of bread. I could only eat a little - I tried - but it really wasn't very tasty nor edible. I think for the price, it really was subpar in value and edibility. To have something so simple to make be prepared so poorly and takes so much time shows a disconnect that management needs to address. When I relayed my experience to my daughter who is a UA student she said - yes mom that's why none of us go there anymore. Big place but everything about it is terrible - that's unfortunate.

Don't bother at all. The space is cool but everything else is lame. The two girls working when we walked in (no one else was there) were not at all pleased to see us. If you are looking for something to eat with your coffee...DON'T stop here. Lame selection of breakfast items (all frozen and heated in the store). Coffee was meh.

This is such a cute little spot! As soon as I walked in the girls were so friendly and approachable. My barista made sure I knew about the full menu and she made an excellent cup of coffee for me. Will definitely come back?
