Flemings has always been our go to for special occasions. Never had a bad meal or bad service; until last week. We have always ordered the same thing-petite filet Pittsburgh style, medium rare. All three steaks were charred to a crisp, cooked throughout. Our server said, well that’s Pittsburgh style. Three burned steaks at $50 each was very upsetting.
Had a family dinner of 10 people but we couldn’t get a table for that many so broke it up into table for 4 and table for six. They seated us close together to make it a better experience for us. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Great lava cake
If you want amazing food with exceptional service then come to Fleming's. I know I will be
35th Anniversary Dinner
Awesome meal — comfy dining experience - noise level is better than other restaurants
In town visiting my daughter and had never been to a Flemings. Excited to try. Got off to good start. One of our party asked for Bourbon list. Their best was Makers Mark. They need to step up the Spirit quality to say the least. Bread/butter followed. I had ordered a salad and while waiting waiter approaches and tells us salad won’t be coming before meal?! Like what?? As I’m watching waiter and staff flow by with salad after salad, I said fine. Manager Steve comes by apologizing. He was from Texas there on assignment. I knew I was in trouble then. Steaks comes 5 minutes later with 2 sides. All cooked to liking. My daughter had a Ribeye and said it was just right. I was not as thrilled. My filet was peppered, literally black pepper was only taste. She tried and gagged. Even though 3/4 filet left on plate no one asked, not staff, waiter and definitely not manager Steve. Sides were a waste. Macaroni so heavily saturated no one at table could verify cheese. Just “pasta warm and bite”. Scalloped Potatoes lacked taste, more mush. Maybe we had a bad chef, line, etc. We like good food and this was not. I was in and out of a dinner in approximately an hour. Unheard of!!!
I loved it!!!
Disappointed. We frequent this restaurant. Steak undercooked. We didn’t complain about. Husband was served a burnt baked potato. They told us it would take half an hour to make us another and just gave us mashed potatoes on the house. They were extremely greasy with so much butter. We didn’t want to continue To complain. Daughter had a dinner from childs menu. They didn’t bring the appetizer or starter it was supposed to come with. Just an overall disappointing night
Thanksgiving day dinner. Food was excellent and a very generous serving. Service was excellent as usual.
Robert our waiter did a great job and gave some great suggestions
We have never had a bad meal here. Tonight I started off with a cup of lobster bisque and it was absolutely delicious. My husband and I also got Caesar salads. As usual, they were great. For my entree I ordered the Chilean sea bass with a side of Brussels sprouts. Both came out perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the ribeye with a loaded baked potato. Both came out to perfection. We enjoyed our meals to the fullest extent. My husband ordered the cheesecake for dessert and it was good but personally I prefer The Cheesecake Factory's cheesecakes.
The experience was great. Everyone was professional. The food was awesome as well as the margarita?. They only have semi sweet red wines ?.
I was there to celebrate my bday. Lim was our waiter. He was very attentive and anticipated our needs. He also took time to take our pics.
I have been Fleming's fan for quite some time. Where I live, Birmingham, AL has had some good steak restaurants over the years. Not one of the has been as consistent as Fleming's. In my review, I am also going to start by saying I was on Keto at the time. We started with some cocktails. When you go to Fleming's the food is important however so is the adult beverages. Mine was a Belvedere Martini, dry as the Sahara desert with a thin layer of ice on top with two blue cheese stuffed olives. My daughters got a Lemon Drop Martini and my wife had wine. We were allowed to sit and enjoy each others company and never bothered. This is important because it is what we all expect at a high-end dining experience. The appetizer was supposed to be beef carpaccio. By mistake, the server brought a shrimp cocktail. We keep it and it was one of the best shrimp cocktails I have had in a very long time. The beef carpaccio came next and it also was excellent. My wife had the Lobster Bisque and thought is we good but not great. The salad was the next course. My wife, son and I got the wedge salad. My daughters got the salad that came with the Fixed Meal of Petite Fillet. Both my wife and I were both disappointed in our salads. It lacked enough dressing, blue cheese and bacon. The greens were also not the best. This was the first time I was ever disappointed in a salad at Fleming's. My daughters salad was fantastic. As mentioned above, for her main course was a Petite Fillet with shrimp and crab meat. Excellent. My son and I had the 20 once bone-in ribeye cooked medium rare plus. Excellent. The sides for the table was Brussel Spouts and Cream Spinach. Excellent. My son and I had coffee. With that he had New York Cheese Cake and I had Carrot Cake (Well there went Keto.) I gave Fleming's a four out of five score because it was not perfect. When your bill comes to hundreds of dollars, you expectations are high. Great place, great atmosphere, and great service.
