We were driving through Little Rock and wanted to try a local place. The meatloaf was good and the pulled pork was good too(not fatty like some places!). They were out of lots of sides that sounded yummy, like baked squash or cornbread, at 1:30 so get there early if you want to try those. I liked the jalapeño cornbread but my husband wasn't a fan. We were just passing through, but I could smell it!!! We drove around the capital and made sure to come back by and stop!!! Excellent choice and even the locals say so. Highly recommended.

The chicken fried steak was one of the specials of the day, so that's what I ordered. I was then told the cook was making deliveries, which I understand, we are living in an environment where good help can be difficult to find. They informed me that the cashier could make it but it would be a wait and asked if I still wanted it. Yes. Not a bad wait and the food was good. The baked potato salad was the best I've ever had.
