“This is a cozy little eleven table diner on the Salem square with decent food. It would have been five stars, but the poor waitress (who was working her tail off and doing an excellent job considering) was alone except for the cook, no other servers. It was difficult for her to run the register, bring out food, serve patrons, AND bus the tables. It would be for anyone!Owners could make more money getting patrons out faster. We saw an 8 top walk out because they could not get seated soon enough. Get that girl some help!”
“We were hoping a new restaurant would open after La Fiesta closed. When we saw Sabor el Rey, we decided to check it out. The food is hot and fresh. A great variety of options and reasonably priced. It’s good food a great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly.Vegetarian options: You can order anything on the menu without meat.Parking: It’s a huge lot that’s usually pretty empty. No problem parking.”
“Their fish sandwiches are good, and the service was great. The Salem location is a lot faster than the Mountain Home one. Taking a star off atmosphere for how narrow that drive through is, though. A larger vehicle could easily damage a tire.”
“Pretty delicious food choices available here but a bit pricey. Being the only real fast food place in Salem, if you need your fast food fix here is the place. Atmosphere is a little bad because it's just parking in a space no real energy to it.”
“Such a cute place! When I visit Salem I always stop by the Short Store Eatery for fresh sandwiches & pizza. My latest favorite is the Supreme Pizza + jalapeños! - delish!”
