“Great chicken nachos. Chips made onsite. Delicious salsa. Paige was an absolutely fantastic server. The only thing I didn’t like was that the happy hour $5 margaritas are premixed and very sweet. Owner is very attentive. Beautiful inside with available patio.“
“Friendly service. Authentic food. Decent prices. My husband, three year old daughter and I loved our food here. Our bean burritos were perfect! My daughter loved hers so much she ate the entire thing (and had to tell the owner it was so good). It is also nice to support an establishment that values the family and patriotism. Thanks Sammy's!“
“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Oro Valley. We always get the pollo chipotle and split it. Tons of food and Sooo tasty. We keep saying we are going to try something else but never do. Laura is our favorite waitress, excellent food and service!“
“I will start by saying, I wish this joint on was on the southeast side in Vail. I would be eating here weekly. It is a place where you order at the register but they bring you the food. Super cool vibe inside, in fact I was mesmerized by the floor. My husband and I ordered a bunch of stuff off the menu. The guy taking our order was incredibly friendly and nice. They have some really different items on the menu which I loved! We ordered the Mexican Street Corn Dip/Chips, a Sonoran Dog, Mango Quesadilla and the Vampiro Tacos w/Elote. Every item was delicious... particularly the Mexican Street Corn Dip and the what has to be homemade chips that went with it. My husband loved his tacos and the flavor of their salsa. My Mango Quesadilla was the real treat as I would have never thought to mix mango/jalapeno with asadero and cream cheese into a flour tortilla but WOW. The hotdog was good, but did not blow my mind like the other items -- I think I should have went for that Shanghai Dog as that actually looks reallllllly good.We took a chunk of the food home and it reheated incredibly well in the air fryer. We will be back, not sure when since it is a hike for us but it was SO worth the drive.“
“Cute little Mexican restaurant hiding in Catalina. They have a killer Taco Tuesday deal, but beyond that their food is amazing. Some of the best in the northwest side. Super friendly service, nice portions, and very cute ambience. I've been craving it since we first tried it a couple weeks ago. Oh and the salsa is amazing. The only drawback I saw was after two baskets of chips they charge you for a 3rd. We had to hold my grandkids back from eating the chips and salsa, which is usually their favorite thing. Chips are cheap, people expect chips at a Mexican restaurant. If this changes I'll give them the 5th star.“
“We went for breakfast and dinner in the same day. Breakfast was great and so was the service. We had the Rudy’s Special Burrito and the enchilada plate, they were both delicious. The service at dinner was more disorganized and the staff seemed a bit frazzled and overwhelmed. The food was still good, but not as good as breakfast. The red tamale is tasty, but I wouldn’t get the green tamale again. Also, hours listed on Google Maps are not currently accurate (see attached photo).“
“This place is cute as heck and has seriously good food - fresh ingredients, well prepared. Chili is great, as are chicken tacos. LOVE the salsa! EXCELLENT service... prompt and friendly! Tonight, it got really busy really fast - and the two servers kept up with everything without a hitch. Live music was a lovely added touch. Their margaritas are sweeter than I like, so I may stick to Modelo or Palomas in the future. But we'll be back as regulars for sure.“
“I stopped by the oracle location and let me tell you! It was heaven on a plate! My biggest regret was I only got 4 tacos. Everything from the food to the service was amazing. Thank you so much for bringing so much happiness to everyone, or me at least. ❤️??“
“Highly recommend this place for the carne asada burritos and the rolled tacos. One of the best I've ever had. The guy at the counter is fast and helpful. Small seating inside but the patio is nice if you want to eat there. Very clean place.“
“I don’t leave reviews often however I need to tell you that Nico’s Breakfast Burritos make my day. We have been getting their breakfast burritos for almost 8 months now and they are something I look forward to every week. They are so consistent. The food seems fresh, hot and delicious. They blow Filiberto’s out the water. We typically only get their breakfast burritos so that’s where this review is regarding however we did get their chimichangas once and it was good! ? you won’t regret and no affiliation!“
“Excellent tacos, from many different parts of Mexico and mid America. I had 3 taco plate with selections from 3 different regions. All delicious.Staff very friendly and helpful. Margaritas very good. Bright and fresh setting with lots of attractive indoor and outdoor sitting. Parking is ample during dinner hours. My only complaint is the standing in line to order. We came in a group during dinner hour. While I do much like the restaurant, I will NEVER do that again. Standing in one long line to order and pay for food took 20+ minutes. Then being served 20+ minutes later is unacceptable.I won't be back.“
“When I am hungry for chicken fajitas, this is where I go. The chicken is always tender and perfectly seasoned. Served on a hot plate with caramelized peppers and onions. Comes with a little lazy susan filled with sour cream, salsa and pico de gallo. The tortillas are light and fluffy. It is the best!“
“I always come here, and I love it! Never had a complaint until now though...I have a hard time processing peoples' words, as my last item, I ordered an item for the first time that did not list that it had guac, sour cream, or pico. I can't have avocado.I thought the kind lady said, "Would you like anything else?" Instead of "Would you like everything?" So I got my item with avo, I tried to return it but they wouldn't exchange it even after explaining I have a hard time understanding people.. I left really sad.All I would like to ask is to please rephrase that for people like me who are hard of hearing.“
“So much flavor in both the green and red chili sauces! Sooo good! If you like spicy, this place is the best! I lived in New Mexico for 5 years and this place is better than any NM restaurant I went to while living there. It's a family run place and you can tell they care about their food! I have to many favorites on the menu to recommend just one.“
“A must have everytime I visit AZ.The best street tacos anywhere and the lobster quesadilla made me slap an old lady it was so good.Kid-friendliness: Staff is always kool. They talked to my 3yo when she said hi, so thats a plus considering they were busy busy busy.“
“This place is phenomenal! Best service, the salsa is perfect, they made my custom margarita perfectly, and the Molinito Asada Special could not have been better! My only regret that I haven't found this place earlier! Ethel is amazing bartender/server and I can't say enough great things about this place. Seriously best in Oro Valley.“
“The ambiance was super chill, a come as you are sort of vibe. We hung out for a few beers then ordered food and I think the server came to check on us once which I appreciated because we were just passing time and we told him that. The food was hot and delicious. The birria tacos were moist, flavorful, and they had a nice salsa bar. Not superb but good. We also ordered their baked potato and it wasn't as good as other places. The toppings could have been more generous as we were left with a plain potato 1/4 of the way down but maybe we should have added some more stuff from the salsa bar. Overall, I'd say a nice place to go hang out and have some good tacos.“
