“I’ve been coming here for a very long time and have never had any issues with food or service. The food is fresh and wonderful every time.Kid-friendliness: This is a good place for eating in but my favorite is take out because of my kids. So my “kid friendly” rating comes from the fact that all my kids love the fried rice. We always order it with pineapple for a little extra. It’s great and we always have leftovers after feeding 3. Easy to throw on the skillet for day 2-3.“
“A very chill little sushi spot staking its claim down the road from downtown Gilbert. And succeeding! Great sushi and beer. Lunch specials. Consistently good. Open until 9 (but with a late afternoon intermission where they are sadly closed). Know what to expect and you will have a good time here.“
“Finally made it out to the east side to try this place, wish I lived closer! The sushi was amazing! The vegan menu was very expansive so I couldn't be happier, everything I tried was very good. The employees were such sweethearts too. Looking forward to trying more things off of the menu and dining in next time.“
“We got the Alaskan roll and the topiko in the roll was phenomenal. For a quick bite, it was super impressive. The place feels pretty sterile upon walking in- but ignore that and trust the good reviews. It seems like others are a big fan of the hibachi and after the one roll I had, I’m looking forward to coming back by before I go grocery shopping.“
“Best place I've found around here to get sushi. The broth for their noodle dishes is also very tasty. Long lines outside the restaurant prove it's a winner. This venue is small so if you want to eat here for dinner it's better to get there earlier than later. I went last week and there were a handful of people in line already waiting for the 5pm opening.“
“In case you were not aware this restaurant has new owners as of nine months ago. I decided to visit after many years. The last time we visited the food was not that good. Tonight I sat at the sushi bar and spoke with the owners Shawn and Joy. They were very pleasant and the food was excellent. Shawn even made me a custom roll based upon my description! If you have not been here in a while, come on back and give it a try!“
“Seriously great place to eat. I enjoyed everything about dining here with the exception of one small detail. Reservations are not your typical reservations. You will be seated with strangers even if you are wanting an exclusive dining experience. Luckily our strangers were celebrating the same thing we were and they were very nice too...still was very awkward for both of our parties to be forced to mingle. It's a small detail amidst the abundance of positives this places offers but sadly it slightly ruined the experience for us.“
“We decided last minute to check out Belly. I was intrigued by the menu and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was very busy but our hostess was very kind to accommodate us without a reservation. Once inside, I really liked the vibe, friendly staff, stylish eclectic feel. We started with some cocktails and crispy spring rolls. Fantastic! CJ was bartending and certainly had his mixology down. The Burnt Offering was amazing! Spring rolls were fresh, crispy and very authentic. For dinner we had the Shaking Beef and pork Belly and Egg Clay pot. Both were delicious but I was most impressed by the pork belly! Alexandra was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and filled us in on its history and some new concept restaurants that management had coming up in Gilbert and Downtown. Phoenix. Hands down my new fav restaurant. I’m looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu as well as the new locations“
“Nice spot, but a bit hidden. Definitely worth a visit if you like fresh sushi, miso soup, and a nice selection of sake! Service was great, but the restaurant was a bit slow. With the quality of food not sure why it was slow. Compared to other nearby sushi locations, prices seem comparable or better! Worth a look!“
“Came for the first time with the family on a busy holiday night, great food, portions and service were generous. This is a greatJapanese family style place,. It was busy and clearly is well loved. Happy hour prices and selection are awesome! We will be back!“
“The food was incredible and if you can impress the chef squirting sake in your mouth can get a quite a bit of good drink for free. People celebrate birthdays here often as we heard their birthday song about four times while we were in so you can get excited seeing people go crazy over their special tricks. Good price for the quality of food and great experience all around. I’m not a sushi eater but the people in my party were very happy with their rolls.Kid-friendliness: There was a little boy celebrating his birthday and he seemed to have a blast“
“We love sushi & have tried many around but had never tried Sushi Rock so decided to try it out since we were were in the area.We called in to get added to the waitlist & were seated as almost as soon as we arrived.Service was a bit slow because they were super busy but…wait till the end :)We have a variety of sushi, including Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, Tootsie Roll, Philly Roll & Shrimp Tempura Roll as well as Edemame & Gyoza - everything was delicious! After we were done & had asked for our check our waitress came out with a slice of cake for dessert, on the house & apologized for the slower than ideal service; very sweet of them!“
