“The food was so delicious. Yesterday night I ate there chicken tenders and it was so yummy.Today I ate their breakfast and it was the best breakfast (Omelette) I ever had. I can recommend it.”
“The chocolate salted caramel cheesecake saved our meal and this review. We were able to be seated a little earlier than our reservation time and thank goodness because the service here is slow!!! My husband and I knew what we wanted ahead of time but still had to wait forever to place our orders. I had the French onion soup burger with fruit and my husband had the elk bolognese. My fruit had some weird white stuff all over it, I picked it off but it was kind of off putting. My burger was also ordered medium and came out well done but I didn't want to wait for another one to be made. My husbands brussel sprouts had inedible, hard, stems left on. We decided to get the cheesecake when we heard the flavor of it. Wow, was it delicious!!!! Definitely the best part of our meal. The water glass stayed filled and our waiter was kind, just very slow. The roof was also leaking near where we were sat, but the view from the window was spectacular. For the total price of our meals, I'd kind of expect more overall. Also, the website states to dress nicer, this does not hold true to lunch time. We dressed business casual and were overdressed compared to other patrons.”
“Everything they got mad ? there people are cool and they have reasonable prices for a tourist location. There food was fresh and had good flavor. ? the best place to go after and before hiking the canyon.”
“The portions are generous, especially the nachos, which came in a pizza box. They have a good bar and a great selection of beers. There's food and drinks appropriate for kids too. There was a long line one of the two times we visited due to the Yavapai restaurant, located next door, undergoing renovations. Go during sunset hours and you'll beet the dinner crowd”
“Very delicious food!! What made our experience even more wonderful was our awesome waitress Sandra. SHE’S AWESOME. My whole family agreed that she’s top notch. Thank you!!”

“The Desert View Watchtower is a 70 foot iconic stone structure that can be seen from quite a distance away. It has four stories and was designed by architect Mary Colter in 1932. The Watchtower is located in the Desert View area next to the East entrance. You are able to enter and explore the lower level of the Watchtower called the Kiva Room. There are many windows that you can view the Grand Canyon from. The interior of the tower also has a lot of beautiful stone carvings on the walls. In the Desert View area are bathrooms, a gift shop, general store, and a trading post. Just outside the watchtower is Desert View Point. At this viewpoint you can see the Colorado River make a sharp 90-degree turn to the west. If you drive west on Desert View Drive, there are quite a few other beautiful viewpoints along the way until you get to Grand Canyon Village. If you are traveling on the on US 89, you can get to Desert View by turning west onto State Route 64 in Cameron, AZ. Then travel about 25 miles until you get to the East Entrance. The Desert View area is right after you enter the park. The Watchtower is easy to locate as soon as you enter. It is a popular spot because this is the first viewpoint you can visit as you enter the park. So expect some crowds.”
“We only came here for breakfast once after checking out. Had veggie breakfast burritos and added protein choice for an extra charge. They were good, great salsa too. The seasoned home fries were delicious. We had great service from Larry and really enjoyed our quiet breakfast before hitting the road after spending a couple of days at the Grand Canyon”
“Delicious! We had the Spinach Artichoke as as appetizer with slices of bread, salad and a steak with a baked potato and vegetables. Everything had great flavor and the staff was very attentive to us.”
“The food was very good for a reasonable price!! It's hard to find something not completely overpriced in this area, but this place did not disappoint. The service was also really good and attentive. Thumbs up!!”
“Breakfast was okay. One of us ordered the travelers breakfast and got some ala cart items. The sausage I got was cold but tasted good. Son enjoyed his French toast. Dinner was much better. My mom and I got a large chuck wagon to share and it came with lots of food. All of it was pretty good. Brisket was good pork was dry. Mac and cheese were good. Pretzel roll was yummy! Apple crisp also very good! Just make sure to get there as soon as possible after sunset it gets busy around 7. The process was not very organized and the line can get long. The dinner was probably the better tasting food we had at the park.”
“I cannot understand the bad reviews. Every time we had our meals there, our experience was great. Our server Kee was great the first time and on our last night she still had her professional attitude. Her warmth and the food at this establishment made our trip so great.”
“It's about expectations...We were visiting from San Diego and as posted great food options are limited in this area. It was our last night looking for decent meal. This place was recommended by of all people a local chef who said this place has the best pizza. It did and the service level was great. I had my reservations from low ratings but our family loved it.”
“Very nice place to visit. The food was good, not overly salty and covered with butter. Had vegan options, I had rib shaved sandwich and my husband pan seared salmon. He enjoyed it, he said salmon was cooked perfectly, extra star for having the butter on the side and not on the salmon. Salmon was missing a lemon vedge though that we borrowed from my daughter's fish n chips. Fries was crispy and not stale.Staff was very very nice, the beer was good too. Food was slightly overpriced, but it is expected considering the location.”
“Food was delicious. This was proper Mexican food. Just as good as you can find in California down near the border. If you don’t like this, you don’t like Mexican food.”
