“Visiting for Denver this February '24 and dined here 2X. Each time was really very good. It's family owned for 19 years; the chef (s) are brothers and the waitstaff are sisters. Everything seems to be homemade, fresh...not stuff out of a can which almost all Chinese restaurants serve and tastes the same these days. For our soup, we shared the hot & sour which had the traditional spicy flavors but chock full of chicken, tofu and vegetables...almost a full meal by itself. The variety of menus choices are mind boggling and one has to wonder how they get most everything so right at such reasonable prices. If you order the larger portions of most any dish, be prepared to bring home the left-overs for a nice second meal or lunch. Our only regret in leaving Mesa for home, is that we won't be able to enjoy this lovely Asian Cafe on a regular basis.“
“This is hands down the best Noodle Place to go. better than PTO Noodles & other noodle places I've ever been to.My wife & kids & I love this place we consider it the most Boujee'est Noodle Place ever like deliciously Handmade not like your average Ramen just made better & fresh.?“
“The wait staff were very attentive and the food was amazing! Just a heads up the spicy dishes are no joke so just be aware of that but I got the spicy beef and tofu soup and the egg drop soup. Both blew me away. On top of that the portions are huge for the price so definitely economical too!“
“Very good food, try out there delicious tsos chicken!! Not to spicy but it was fantastic. Staff was very nice and respectful. Food came out in less than 5 mins. They boxed our food and didn’t hesitate to fill our drinks if empty. Very quick service, good food, huge portions, and friendly staff.Dietary restrictions: Very kind and cared about my allergy“
“So I been seeing a lot of reviews for them saying it's not good bc of boxes. If you are looking for atmosphere do not go. But the food is BEYOND delicious! I promise you will enjoy it and love the food. Don't grade them on how it looks base your reviews on the food. Portions are HUGE and the service is fast and efficient! Love this place been going here for 6+ years. Oh and I now moved to San Tan Valley and we still drive down there to get food. Nowhere else is worth the drive!“
“It was a pleasant experience. Laughed a lot with our waiter and managerOur waiter Habenero was excellent He checked in on us, and was very friendly. He served with a smile and his very personality is very pleasantManager Tony Lopez was also very friendly, made sure we enjoyed our meal, even sat and had a little chat with us. It was my girlfriend's first time there and she truly enjoyed it.“
“We tried this place one evening for an early dinner. We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. They brought water to the table right away. The server came and ask if we would like anything else to drink. We order the Egg Drop Soup for an appetizer. The soup was perfect, not too salty and had lots of flavor. We ordered the Orange Chicken and the House Special Chicken, both were cooked to perfection. The flavors were perfect. A great New York style Mandarin Style Chinese Restaurant. The service was top notch as was the food. We found the restaurant very clean as were the restrooms. Wish we had found this place sooner. Cannot wait to return. This will be a regular stop from now on for us.“
“There is a bit of a wait time when it comes to the food being cooked to order. However, the dishes that I have tried here have been worth the wait. The pork pot stickers, beef lo mein and the honey garlic chicken dishes were delicious. The service was great and they always seem appreciative of my business here.I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes!“
“Seen this place before on my drives from work back home to Tempe. Decided to give it a go. The menu is 90% traditional Chinese cuisine. Maybe 1/2 dozen Americanized Chinese items on the back 2 pages. Order carefully and ask questions! Food was cooked quickly and served immediately. Ordered 4 items… 3 of those were as good as I have ever eaten. The fourth I took home to eat later… see 4 photos.“
“Heng’s Kitchen is conveniently located in the Mekong Plaza. I tried the beef noodle stew (non spicy version) and it was wonderful! The broth had so much flavor. The beef cuts were lean and large. I left my bowl spotless!I will be returning to this restaurant in the future. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars!“
“Love dragon express! Their service is quick and friendly. They have great food as well! I always get egg drop soup and chicken fried rice and am never disappointed! It's always quiet inside. Feels (and looks) like just a small family run Chinese place! Love this place. Highly recommend!!“
“A regular in my lunch time rotation. The lunch specials can’t be beat. So much food at a great price. When I ate meat, their chicken was always breaded well and had a good amount of meat. Not like other places where it’s all breading. I recently had their fried tofu with honey sauce and it was delicious. Staff is always friendly and helpful as well.“
“This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. The food was great, as were the prices! I ordered a bunch of lunch size meals, including orange chicken, sesame chicken, mongolian chicken, and chicken lo mein. Everything tasted great, and it was only $8.95 per meal. Each meal included the entree, rice, a crab wonton, and a spring roll. The woman behind the counter was very nice. She even gave my children almond cookies while we waited. I recommend trying this place!“
“Consistently good food AND customer service!!!We order regularly and are always happy with our food. Best egg rolls around! Special requests are no problem!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, curbside door. They have brought food to car for hubby who has difficulty walking.“
“Q: What's a chicken's favorite vegetable? A: Bok bok bok bok bok choy! What better way to spend a Friday than with some gal pals and good food? I ordered a #21 Spare ribs clay pot and a HK-style lemon tea for myself while some housemade fried fish filet, beef chow fun, and deep fried buns with condensed milk was shared between the four of us. All were oh so good. First things first about those who haven't had claypot rice: The rice is supposed to be crispy. That's arguably the best part of claypot rice! Yes, it takes 20 minutes to make (and it says so on the menu). Why? Because it is made to order. The rice goes uncooked with your chosen topping/entree, and it gets baked together. It's essentially an individualized casserole dish. Some soup gets served on the side, and while it is tempting and tasty to eat on its own, you pour the soup into your claypot rice towards the end to eat with the crispy rice. It's essentially part two of your meal. Claypot rice is also served with a special soy sauce based sauce you can use for your rice once you eat all the yummy toppings. As for all the other good eats, they were good! The housemade fish filet is incredibly delicious. Don't be assuming you're getting frozen stuff here. It's moist and tender and comes with a nice sauce on the side. The beef chow fun showed great technique with no broken noodles and lots of flavor. As for the deep fried buns with condensed milk, it's a nice sweet treat before the start of the meal. As for the HK-style lemon tea, just get it! I love this place! I can't wait to introduce more friends to this great eatery. I'm wishing Claypot Kitchen much success!“
“Celebrated my friend's birthday there, and we had a great time. Food was very good, prices were reasonable, service was excellent, and the people waiting on our table were friendly too. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others! ??“
“Update however many years later lol still amazing! We love you guys and the food! We appreciate everyone, Thanks so much! :DThis place is amazing! <3 The food is so delicious and the family running it is even more delightful! Thank you!“
“My favorite small Chinese restaurant in the valley. Unbeatable lunch special deal at 8.99, the Mongolian beef is a must order for me, and the staff is accommodating with minor adjustments, such as adding snow peas. The place is quiet and may not look like much but I really recommend it. These family owned spots can be real diamonds in the rough. Also l like the panda theme.“
“We totally enjoyed tasty joes Sunday Feb 4, 2024. Hubby had the kung pao shrimp and I had hunan chicken. Both were great!! Full of fresh veggies and plenty of meat. We like spicy and each was full of flavor. Will definitely come back and try another dish. We saw the Sunday special come out (chicken lo main). Wow did that look good. We asked how it was and both said it was good. The restaurant isn't a 5 star place but was clean, comfortable and a pleasant time. Servers were very nice and did a good job. Totally recommend this place for a great meal. Prices were very reasonable too! And don't forget the left overs because the portions were huge!“
“Excellent food at a great price! The service is always fast and friendly. We have had kung pao chicken and beef, low mein, New York style tofu, garlic chicken, Mongolian beef, and hot & sour soup. They are all the best I’ve had in AZ. The portions are also very generous. If your in this area I highly recommend trying it!“
“Relaxation, we had a marvelous lunch. Wasn't crowded, but busy at the same time. The lunch specials are huge, so don't eat breakfast, and you will still have a doggie bag in hand. You won't need supper because the food is so great you'll eat both meals. I normally watch how much I eat because of the sodium, but I didn't realize how much I ate until we got ready to leave. Enjoy the food you will come back. I'm sure you will.“
“Enjoyed our dinner! I'm "new" to the tofu scene and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I'm always worried the tofu will be too soft for my liking. This was nice a crisp on the outside and medium texture on the inside. We also had the chicken dumplings. They were ok.“
“Super happy to come across a dim dumpling place nearby in Mesa. Start off with the soup dumplings they rated a very high four. We moved onto a wonton noodle soup. Also rated that a very high four. Finished it off with General Tso chicken. For this entrée, I give it between a three and a four. The reason for this is that the grease taste was obviously from old grease. Will definitely be back to try other items. Overall, I rate this somewhere around a 4.6 or a 4.7..“
“I very much enjoyed the food! The pho was amazing, meat was cooked perfectly, the broth and noodles were very refreshing! It was pretty late but they stayed open to make sure I had food. I definitely will be returning often for their meals! Thank you so much for the kindness and hospitality!Roberto“
“An authentic Cantonese restaurant but also serves western Chinese food. We ordered 3 items; beef gai lan, black bean chicken & fish congee. All dishes were well flavoured and very big portioned (had to take it home). Prices were good for the amount of food. The service was also very good. Cafeteria basic style setting /decor but charming. Highly recommend.“
“I was looking for another Chinese restaurant after the cherished Nan Zhou Hand Drawn Noodle House closed, and I found it! The soup dumplings at Shaanxi are my latest obsession. I've been here a couple times and so far have tried the Biang Biang oil seared noodles with braised beef, Beef noodles, Biang Biang noodles with pork, and Shanghai soup dumplings. This is gonna be one of my go to Phoenix restaurants and I can't wait to go back!“
“Best hotpot I've had in Phoenix so far. Very authentic Asian hotpot experience and their Wenyu Special Spicy is just like mala you'd find in Taiwan with lots of peppercorns and spices. Deluxe AYCE is a bit pricey, but has some pretty authentic menu items. They also have 3-flavor broths with is rare.“
“This H-Mart goes crazy! I feel like the world has truly globalized when the best H-Mart food court you have ever seen is in Phoenix, Arizona. They had around 7-8 vendors, each one selling different foods which made me so happy. Jeong's Noodle was one of the ones that we decided to try.We ordered the Jjampong which was delicious! It's honestly very comparable and tastes even better than Paik's Noodle House in California. They should expand to more branches. The noodles were very chewy and the soup base was strong and flavorful. I appreciate how many different ingredients they put into it, especially the lettuce which soaked up all the delicious soup. The price point was also incredibly reasonable too!Overall, a very solid dish at Jeong's Noodle! Would come back if in the area.“
“I chose my foods base on my buffet at home in Pittsburgh PA. My expectations for quality were well met. A few favorites (stuffed clams, baked mussels and baked scallops) were not offered, this the score of 4. I liked the friendly staff, and the set-up of the food display.“
“Cute little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, the food is amazing! I got the egg drop soup and sweet and sour chicken with white rice, both were excellent, and plenty left over for the next day. Staff were attentive and very polite. Definitely give this place a try!“
“Honestly, we were here for Mother's day in 2023...we sat in the entrance for 20 min with no recognition. Tonight TOTALLY different story. We always give places a second chance....Service was amazing (Jackson rockes) food was incredible!! Thank you Thor! We highly recommend this place “
“Don’t go to this place Tsing Tao Chinese Cuisine! Order led at the location . Only gave me greasy noodles in the order!Just weird.I ask the little girl working about my order and she said something and just walked away and rude as hell!“
“The food is always hot and faster then they tell you it will be delivered. They save your info so when you call in they know you and what you like. And the price in this day and age is more than fair. And the delivery guy is always a nice guy. I highly recommend them.“
“Definitely the best Dim Sum spot in the Valley! The service is great, the food delicious and fresh & it’s perfect for satisfying your cravings. I enjoy bringing friends and introducing them to the huge selections they offer. There’s something for everyone. The push carts are fun to pick from but they also offer a menu. It gets pretty busy on the weekends so go earlier or prepare to wait.“
“My mother used to take me here when I was young and it was always my favorite Chinese food to eat. I came back recently for the first time in 15 years and everything was just how I remember it. Their recipes are fantastic and their staff is perfectly attentive. I cannot begin to express how delicious the egg drop soup was, as well as the rest of the meal. My girlfriend and I ate like royalty with enough food leftover for 2 more meals. We only spent $45! Absolutely amazing. Thank you for the wonderful meal, fantastic service and trip down memory lane. I look forward to returning soon.“
“Best shrimp fried rice in the whole valley. Staff is prompt and courteous. Lovely atmosphere. Restaurant is very close to Bernie"s Beads. It's always a great day when I can buy amazing findings at Bernie's (including Terahertz and Yooperlite), then stop in at Green Tea Bistro for the best shrimp fried rice in town. Super clean restaurant, too!“
“If you're looking for a variety of food, this is not the place. The buffet is short and simple but overall very good taste. I'm not sure if the place doesn't have ac or it went out but we went on a pretty chilly day (for AZ) and it was so hot inside that it made the food less enjoyable.“
“I got the duck and spicy crawfish jianbing. Never having one before didn't know what to expect, but this is definitely what I would want from Asian street food. Easy to eat on the go, packed with lots of flavor. I got it mild and that was plenty of spice for my Anglo pallet. Loved the thin egg creme style packed with meat. They are fairly thin, but a good 10 Inches long so there's plenty to eat for one person. No real atmosphere as it's in a food court and you're getting the smoke and smell from other grills. Take.it outside and eat on a nice day.“
