“We had been eyeing this place for a while, and finally had the chance to check it out last night. When we arrived, the place was packed - always a good sign, right? Despite the limited seating (only 5 tables and a few chairs by the sushi bar), we were able to snag a table after a 20-minute wait. We ordered a variety of dishes, including uni sashimi, sushi, and skewers.I have to give a shoutout to the owner, Shaun. He was incredibly helpful, sincere, and hardworking. Unfortunately, the picture I took of him didn't turn out great, so I'll spare you all from that one! The rest of the staff were also super nice and attentive. And the food? Delicious! The sushi was fresh and flavorful. I hear they have an omakase menu in the works, and I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out.One thing to note is that they do take reservations, so that's a plus if you want to secure a spot.Overall, I'd definitely give Icho Izakaya a thumbs up. If you're in the mood for some great sushi and a cozy atmosphere, this place is worth checking out.“
“Had a late lunch with visiting family from out of town. My son-in-law is an executive chef of 18 years of experience. While he is not schooled in Japanese cuisine, he knows his way around food preparation. I actually impressed him with Nagasaki Grill as our lunch choice. As to myself, my level of cooking mastery extend to getting the right amount of hot water in my instant oatmeal. Bout I do know what eats well. After five years in Japan, I’m telling you—. This is the real deal!“
“We had a larger party and when we put our name down, it was only supposed to be 15-20 minute wait. They accidentally sat a large party before us that came after we did. Management stepped in and helped out. Moved some table around and got us sat within 30 minutes. The food was well worth the wait. Staff was very nice and helpful. Best Ramen I have had hands down. Would go back more if I could. It was a bit of drive from the north valley, but we'll worth it!Parking: Parking is limited, but there is a full lot beyond the restaurant and people come and go often enough.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kids here. Family friendly for sure!“
“We're so lucky to have this little gem right down the street from home!I've been on the hunt for good chicken katsu for a long time and House's katsu is at the top of my list. I also really enjoy the Yellowtail Lovers and Citea roll.Great, casual spot in an easy to access area. It was full on Sunday evening but we were seated quickly and service was prompt and polite. Definitely worth checking out!“
“Got the chicken katsu and my friend the butter ramen. Both dishes were fantastic, but that katsu was something special. The crust was perfect, not dry at all, the curry dipping sauce was spot on, easily one of the best I've had.The butter ramen was also wonderful, perfect spice, flavor was great, and plenty of it. Super recommended, a great surprise in a food court that easily rivals standalone restaurants.“
“I hadn't visited Sekai Sushi for years as I had been out if the are. It was like coming home! Great experience with delicious choices and great service. I introduced a friend to this great restaurant and plan to visit again soon.Parking: Mall location has lots if parking.Wheelchair accessibility: On the first floor. Tables rather than booths.“
“Chances are, you have seen this food truck on the corner of Gilbert and Southern and curiosity has brought you here! Let me just say that the taste and quality of all dishes are top notch! The price is higher than other food trucks, but rest assured that you are getting authentic teppanyaki without the restaurant pricing. My wife and I are addicted to this place and we know you will be too!“
“Excellent sushi! Friendly fast service! My son just flew in from Germany- he’s in the Air Force. It’s been 2 years since we’ve seen him because of Covid and the Afghan situation. We saw the reviews and it’s close to our hotel. He loves sushi! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! Great place & excellent food!“
“Yoko's is delicious and offers authentic Japanese dishes. My kids LOVE their Yakimeshi dish, the Chicken or beef terryaki bowls ? and of course the Gyoza ? are always a hit. We highly recommend them. They have been in. Business since 1993 at this location and serve the food hot and fresh. #supportsmallbusiness #yokosjapanese #gyoza #yakisoba #japanesefoodVegetarian options: All vegetarian dishes are labeled. They can also make most dishes vegetarian if you ask for no protein. They also offer a substitution of vegetables instead of rice for any bowls.Parking: Ample parking in the shopping plaza.“
“Takeout only little hole in the wall spot, but a total gem. the family who runs it is suuuuper nice and the nigiri portions are massive especially for the price! we’ve ordered from them several times in the past and they are always consistently great. much love!“
“What an awesome experience! For just $18.99 (during lunch), you can have whatever you want, and as much as you want, from the provided menu! So many options and its fresh eachtime you order. You can place your order more than once getting different items each time. The service was mediocre, but my stomach left happy and FULL, so I can't complain! ?Will come again!“
“They're not very tentative to people waiting to place an order. Took them 5 minutes to even look my direction, but the food is always fresh. Good. And satisfying! They definitely need to take more time and attention to how long the brown rice has been out.“
“First off, When we walked in we were greeted by the kindest man ever!! He was so happy to be there and went over all the sandos with us. We let him know we were so excited to try it and he gave us a complimentary sando in addition to what we purchased! Which made our day!!!! He totally didn't have to do that. We drove an hour a while back and there was no sandos so this time we pre-ordered our sandos just to make sure! These sandos are an amazing value; super flavorful, and my new #1 craving! Thank you for the delicious recommendations and making our day! The restaurant is inside a market and they have tables you can sit at along with a picture wall. They also tons of other options on the menu that smelled and looked amazing.“
