While I was working, I went here about once a month, or more, because they had the best Chicken Fried steak & eggs, for 15 years. I haven't been here since I retired, 2021. Well I'm sorry to say, they're Chicken Fried steak and eggs, was not as good as I remembered. The gravey was so thin you could almost see through it. Well, I know now that I don't have to go out of my way to come here. Our server was great, and I like the Easter Christmas tree.
Great experiences at 5th Ave Cafe every time! Wonderful classic cafe vibe with super friendly and attentive service. They have an extensive American and Mexican menu with their own special twists to the menu choices. Open for breakfast and lunch, on Saturday mornings they have a great acoustic guitarist adding just the right musical background to appeal to almost anyone. A good, friendly, classic diner. You know what to expect and they're consistent every time. The family that owns it adds their own Mexican flair, and I noticed that the dishes with that influence stands above the classic American dishes.Parking: Parking up front is limited. Large parking lot behind the building, and the back door is open (not wheel-chair accessible)
