Our company frequently has lunch at this location with staff and vendors. The food is spot on and the green chili sauce on anything is the bomb! Service at lunch is always quick, friendly and attentive. The ambiance is a bit strange from the street but trust me, park and walk in. Authentic Mexican decor and fun place to eat. Enjoy!
I would say the overall consensus of 3 1/2 stars is just about correct. Had heard about this place for years, and had thought about going to one closer to me, but never had the occasion before now. Went to the Central Avenue one. Decor is wonderfully old-style and authentic. Booth was nice and roomy for our group. Wasn't all that busy for weekend dinner rush. Food is amazing I knew the owners of the Ahwatukee location and would go all the time until they had to close their doors. I've tried 3 times to go to this location and haven't been able to eat there c because they either close early or they won't do to-go orders if I catch them when they're open. I love the recipes but they need to get it together here.
