“The place was packed around lunchtime but it didn’t stop us from coming in and getting some great food. The asada here is to die for, as was the barbacoa. Had a great chicken taco as well. Oooooo … get a vampiro, it’s excellent! Salsa bar has everything you need. Highly recommend!“
“Post gym meal went cray cray fr. The torta with al pastor was very good only wish they’d put more pineapple but regardless still very good. The champurrado was very delectable and creamyyy??. The service was top notch felt very welcoming and homey. A good experience “
“The food & service were UNREAL. I got the Al Pastor Torta, & three tacos- all of which were great. The service was fantastic from the second we walked through the door. Such friendly people. I will absolutely be back. Phenomenal place!“
“My wife heard about Just Tacos and More on Instagram. Thought we’d give it a try and were not disappointed. I got the JT Urban plate. She got the Mango tilapia plate. We also added guacamole and chips. All were outstanding. My wife’s might have been the best fish tacos either of us have had.Staff was very pleasant. Restaurant was clean. We’ll be coming back!!!“
“Packed with customers so not enough seats inside ended up sharing the table with stranger. They serve shells and proteins depending on how you order and all the taco garnish are your own creation so the taste can be limitless. I wish they put some explanation on the garnish station for customers who are not familiar with them. I tried my best with my basic knowledge of tacos and i created decent taste of tacos. I like the taste of cow tongue.“
“So delicious! We had an open frybread with red and green chile, a machaca burrito combo (with green chile sauce), and plain frybread - all were exy and I would get them again. The machaca was really flavorful and juicy. The plain frybread comes with lots of fun toppings you can add yourself - my favorite was honey + cinnamon sugar. Highly recommended!“
“I prefer supporting small businesses. I am so happy I drove by this place and discovered it!Marely’s is the perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. This hole-in-the-wall produces excellent Mexican food. When I first saw this place, I didn’t have high hopes, but I was hungry. I ordered the carne asada taco combo plate and was not disappointed. I appreciate they make their food with care because it is simple, tastes homemade, and doesn't leave you feeling like you just consumed fast food. As one who grew up in the southwest eating a fairly consistent diet of Mexican food, it is hard to find excellent Mexican food amongst the sea of mediocrity. Marely’s is a delightful and refreshing head above the rest.I’m not sure I understand the extensive burger menu options in a Mexican restaurant, but whatever works for them must work for them. I’ll stick with the Mexican fare.I enjoyed it so much I will return when I am in that part of town. Well done.“
“Costra taco was one of the best we had during our stay in PHX. The dark salsa that came with the chips was also fantastic. We ate in a group of 8 with a kid so we were worried we wouldn’t find room but we did and it was great. There were high chairs.“
“Absolutely delicious food and wonderful fast and friendly service. My wife and I each got the ultimate fry bread taco and it was amazing. Large portion, tasty, fresh ingredients and enough to make two meals out of. Highly recommend, a true gem!“
“THESE ARE THE TASTIEST TACOS/BURRITOS IN TOWN!!! There’s a reason a line is always winding around the corner! FRESH ingredients, amazing options, and they don’t skimp on anything. The bowls are amazing also! This place is a MUST TRY for everyone! This isn’t a place you’ll find a barria taco. The tacos will blow you away with the fresh blend of ingredients. Truly a beach vibe!Give it a try, you can thank me afterwards???Parking: Sometimes it can be a little tough to find parking when it’s busy. There’s a few spots in the front, a few more in the back. You can park along the curb on the street running south but not any of the side street running off of that one. Tow signs everywhere. But hey, it’s because the food is so ? delicious“
“If you are looking for an authentic hamburger, that tastes, fantastic… This place is spot on! I saw their advertising they were open, went inside, the place was clean. The staff is super friendly, and it took my order and delivered it precisely how I requested. Five out of five stars, two thumbs up - a total 10 on the food scale“
“Excellent quality of food ah super affordable price, totally recommended, Jaquelin was super helpful all the time with all the questions I had, 100% recommended, I love that for several dishes you have the option of grabbing cooked shrimp or aguachile shrimp. Excellent to come and share with family.“
“The best tacos, im obsessed and want to go all the time now ? the margaritas are great too! Plus the owner/family that run this place are the nicest people, always friendly and welcoming. If you haven't eaten here definitely try it, you won't be disappointed!“
“Amazing start to finish. Great and prompt service that felt individually tailored. Drinks are fresh, unique, and cold - probably the best margarita I’ve had. My husband and I shared the bone marrow elote and charred cabbage to start. Both were tasty but the charred cabbage was out of this world and I’ll be thinking about it for a long time! We had the carne asada tostada and pork belly for entrees - both equally delicious with super fresh tortillas and tostadas. We split the chocolate jalepeño flan for dessert. Well worth the wait for the hard-to-come-by reservation and can’t wait to go back!“
“My wife heard about Mis Raices Café through family and facebook. We are always looking to try new places around town. My wife, one of our daughters, and I stopped in this morning. The atmosphere was very positive and relaxed with the baristas and other customers. We each had a different drink choice: Duvalin Iced Latte, Marzipan Iced Latte, and a Carmel Iced Latte. All three looked amazing just from the presentation when the baristas made them. They all tasted just as amazing. Once we left we realized we may have been sitting next to the owner and his daughter. If we realized it when we were there we would have told him how impressed we were and it is one of the few we would beyond highly recommend to everyone. No doubt we have found a new favorite local spot we will definitely be coming back regularly. To the entire team at Mis Raices, you are doing a phenomenal job with everything. Thank you!“
“The vibe was easygoing and relaxed. The food was tasty and didn’t feel like it was trying too hard, which is hard to pull of with newer restaurants. Our server was amazing, made sure we were well taken care of but didn’t hover. The cocktails were balanced and smooth. The chocolate cake was the best I’ve ever had, delectable but not overly sweet. The owner was working the line, which I love. Sweet Phoenix spot!“
“Finding this place proved to be a surprising reward. It's very quaint, and the staff is welcoming. The food was amazing, maybe the best green chili pork I've ever had, and you can tell everything is cooked with passion and appreciation for authentic, quality flavors. It's a much needed escape from the basic, Americanized Mexican food that plagues the valley.“
“A delicious restaurant to eat at. The staff members were fantastic and very friendly, from the hostess to the waiter, food runner, and busses. The food is delicious ?. I must say that the music was excellent and just at the right volume to enjoy and have a conversation with my granddaughter.“
“Authentic Mexican food. Not a tourist trap not Mexican inspired, Authentic Mexican food. The beans are fresh not from a can, the salsa is fresh not from a jar. Just fresh delicious food that is very flavorful. México city style food. The service is excellent. I love going to Así es la vida.Best Totopos I ever had wish they sell them at the supermarket. (Hint, hint)“
“Certainly worth a wait. An event next door so parking was tight but well directed promptly by their parking lot attendant managing the lot in excellent fashion.Great ambience with individually managed little table lamps. Quick service with chips. And of course the salsa bar is a favorite with such a variety of flavors and tastes. We both loved our meals and look forward to going back.Highly recommend! A+“
“Where do I start. The guy on the grill treats you like a long lost homie soon as you enter. The street tacos are always cooked to order and 4 homemade salsa options are always overflowing. Nicest lady up front doing the fresh stuff and the meats. Nothing negative here. All positive. Stop wasting time reading reviews...... Just go get awesome tacos from awesome people. You will thank yourself for makin the trip.“
“I came in to buy the jarred salsa based on other reviews. I asked a server how it all worked there with the tamales to go and the salsa. I asked if I could sample the salsa and she politely said no that they didn’t open the jars for sampling. However, when I was looking through their frozen tamales options she brought me a plate of salsas with chips, beans and rice and a potato side. She said the kitchen had open jars and she brought a few things for me to sample the salsa on. And she offered me a drink to wash it down. I ended up buying the green and the red green mix, along with a dozen tamales. They have vegan and vegetarian tamales which blew me away! So I chose a variety. I’ve only tried the bean and cheese so far but it was very tasty and much bigger than the average tamale! I would definitely recommend checking this place out! They have some fun flavor popcorn that I’ll have to try next time. And if you’re looking to make tamales, they sell the husks and other items too!“
“This is going to sound absolutely crazy, but if you want Korean bulgogi at 7am and don't know how to make it yourself, this is the place! I almost didn't order because it makes zero sense, but I let my curiosity take over and I am pleasantly surprised! The bulgogi was pretty darn good! Especially considering this is a Mexican grill. It's so funny but was so yummy. Didn't upset my stomach either! Will definitely order from them again.“
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND for your next event. We live nearby and have always enjoyed Aunt Chilada's. So when looking for a reception venue, they were at the top of the list! From inquiry to contract to communication to event, everything was amazing. Michele and her team were super accommodating. The menu selection was easy and everyone remarked how great dinner was. We had a few guests with special dietary needs, all of whom were individually served and loved their meals. Steve, the banquet manager, and the crew were so fantastic. Plenty of servers to take care of 125 people. Bartenders were quick and made great drinks. Even sparklers were handed out by the staff. We had our own centerpieces and the staff got everything set up perfectly. The champagne wall, too. I could go on and on!“
“Las Gloria's has delicious Sonoran Mexican cuisine. The tasty shrimp cocktail with lime and avocado is always delicious! Love the cheese crisp with green chili strips. They have a delicious pepita ceasar dressing over grilled chicken romaine salad. The chicken tortilla soup. These are our family favorites.“
“Fresh and savory flavors, relaxing atmosphere, and hospitable staff. We were met with a friendly greeting. The staff were very welcoming, upbeat, and polite. We ordered a carne asada torta (asadero) with everything and fresas con crema. Everything tasted garden-fresh, expertly seasoned, and the perfect temperature. They have a simple menu but a wide variety of flavors for aguas and jugos. The dining room and bathroom were immaculately clean. They also had a cute neon side with greenery as a backdrop. Very cute photo op.“
“Best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. I can't name some of it but the meat tacos and appetizer with mushrooms and cheese was delicious. I also found out after we left Will Ferrell stopped in for a bite. Don't be fooled be the outside, and parking can be difficult, just be patient you will find a place. Salsa for chips was also very tasty.“
“I had the Chile Relleno plate with green and red sauce. It was fantastic and a huge portion size. I had the cucumber drink and it was extremely refreshing. Sara was a sweetheart and took great care of me while there. I will definitely be back to try the tacos ?“
“Hadn't been here in a while. Looks like a lot changed but the food is still very good, they still have the pretty chairs and tables and cool decor that transport me to a completely different place. They also have attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommend. It's always pretty busy and parking can be a challenge but this time we went early afternoon and got a parking spot with ease. Food can take a while to come out but they take care of you with chips, salsa, and ceviche tostada. So that's never an issue for us. Some places tell you when things are extra, this is not one of them, so if they offer something I would keep that in mind. Nevertheless, my party had a good time here and enjoyed every dish.“
“There was a wait to be seated so I sat at the bar. The servers quickly took my order and made sure my water glass was full. I had the traditional carnitas tacos on their house made corn shell. It was flavorful and juicy. The chips and salsa were also top notch. Delicious!Dietary restrictions: I am gluten intolerant so I appreciated the option to choose a corn taco shell.“
“Awesome experience! Starting with our bartender/server Josh… great upstairs bar overlooking an incredible chandelier…quirky mid century vibe… outstanding cuisine, Lovely dining room downstairs….fun energetic young, engaging staff (rare these days) ..sweet spot for first date, blind date, date night…Loved it!!!“
“Woooooooooo! First time visiting on 11/29/2022, for Taco Tuesday... Have mercy. This place is legit, they give "Street Tacos" a whole new meaning. Everything is made fresh to order, right in front of you! For my first time... 12 Tacos (3 Pastor, 3 Carne Asada, 3 Carnitas, and 3 Shrimp) and Carne Asada Quesadilla. "You read what I said"!!! Needed a wheelchair to get out the door! WORTH IT! Big Sid has a new "Taco Tuesday" Spot... Don't Believe Me? Then come see me... "Until Next Time America"! BIG SID BAY BAY!!!!“
“This place is epically delicious and the couple who own it are wonderful—support their small business!!I stopped here while in town for a convention—bumped into my coworker who was on his 4th Zaguan lunch in a row! Unfortunately, I got the idea to try being vegetarian this month, so I only drooled over the meat options. (Birria and chile verde, omg ) However, I was absolutely blown away by the nopalitos burrito. [Sorry not sorry to anyone who saw me go full Gollum with that thing walking down the street.] I revisited the next morning for some chilaquiles and cafe de olla, then grabbed a quick jackfruit burrito to take to the airport. Did I eat here 3x in ~24 hours? Yes. Would I do it again? Absolutely yes.HOT TIP: Bring a colleague here for a low-key lunch beer.Vegetarian options: Nopalitos (prickly pear cactus leaves); jackfruit; breakfast options with eggs“
“Highly recommended! This was my husband's and I first time here and all I can say is AMAZING! Not only was the food very fresh and authentic, but the service was great. We were blessed to meet Irma herself. She is a lovely lady and is so sweet! No doubt, we will definitely be back again and again. Thank you Irma's Kitchen, thank you❤“
“I ordered the Chimichanga dinner. My husband the Yucatan. We were so happy & satisfied w/ our meals. Delicious food! It was the last day of our Spring training vacation. What a shame we have to wait a year to return. We managed to have lots of leftovers. We had the flan for dessert, yum. We wish you were near us. Ty for everything.“
“Our families favorite local restaurant. Personally I love the veggie burrito, seasonal veggies are always different, always amazing and usually one pleasant surprise veggie I wouldn't expect. Great craft beer selection, lots of locals. Service is always great, and we love just being there as much as we love eating thr food.“
“Stumbled upon this spot randomly when looking for a spot to grab food with my family. The food sounded appealing, and the prices looked great so we decided to place an order & picked it up to eat it at home. We were happy with what we each ordered, everything was tasty and we would go back again. Great spot for anyone looking for a good meal without spending a fortune.“
“Wow!! Absolutely amazing pozole definitely one of the best places in Phoenix. I love Pozole so I know what to look for. To start off the spice of the chili is perfect not too spicy and not too bland. The meat is perfectly on point. The hominy is perfectly cooked. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I’m definitely going to be coming back to try the rest of the menu.“
“Taco Central has great food, consistently good and for a reasonable price. My wife and I happened by this place on accident their first day and became their 1st customer. We continue to visit them about every other week. Everyone is super friendly.“
“I didn't get a picture of my food but it was legit! I am from South Texas and while driving through I found this spot to eat while putting gas! I had the asada chimichanga with a side of rice and beans. Portions are huge and the food tasted great! Definitely recommend!“
“Perfect spot for brunch or lunch with an outdoor patio, food is delicious, authentic and made to order, salsa bar was fresh and flavorful and offered staples like habanero and pico de gallo. I ordered chipotle enchiladas and they were delicious. I will be back for more! Staff was friendly and food was delicious! Thank you!!“
“This place is bomb!! My husband brought me here because his tata used to come here a lot. Unfortunately Tata has passed on and to honor him we came here!!! Also, Phil our server was amazing!! Checked on us made sure we were good even asked if we wanted a drink to go!!! Definitely will come here especially that they have Sopapias and I haven’t had them since I was a kid and my husband loved them for his first time having them!!! Thank you phill and all and Don Jose!!! We’ll be back!!“
“Never been to Phoenix area before and wanted to find a very local authentic restaurant. We found it....Cocina Madrigal was exactly what we were looking for...We actually sat at the bar since there was a short wait for a table. I was here with a college friend who lived out of the state also. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the combination Taco/Burros/Tamales/Enchiladas...Our gracious bartend/waitress suggested the perfect way they should be prepared. All the employees were very friendly and make you feel incredibly welcomed. Highly recommend and we will return when we are traveling through Phoenix..“
“Looking for simple but tasty Mexican food that is affordable - we stumbled about Asadero and saw great reviews We started with the quest fundido and then shared a chicken torta. (Chips and salsa were complimentary) both dishes were very tasty and the service was great My only complaint was the store bought tortilla chips“
“First up, the "Evergreen Martini." Think James Bond, but with a side of olives that made me feel like I should be quoting Shakespeare. Delicious? Absolutely. Did I feel incredibly dramatic holding it? You bet your crumpets I did.The food? Oh man, the food. Tuna tostada was like a flavor explosion at a fiesta. Yucca brûlée? Forget crème brûlée, this was sunshine on a plate with a rush that had me sweating (because it was SO good, not because I went broke). Chicken guisado? Like comfort food on steroids, with a side of "how is this even possible?"Service? Impeccable. Our server glided around like a magician, refilling drinks and whisking away plates faster than you can say "extra guac."“
“AmazingI am a picky rice eater! Hands down, no one makes rice like the old Nana's. This rice was so GOOD! It brought back old memories of my childhood. The atmosphere and service were exceptional! The owner came around to check on the tables and greet her customers. Rare, but I loved it!I'll be back and bringing more people to try this hole in the wall on Camelback.“
“Excellent. Traveling often throughout the U.S. and Europe, we are foodies at heart, and Michelin rated restaurants are regular visits on our list. Of note, we also own a little dessert place. This restaurant would rate in one of our top 10 definitely, likely the top 5 experiences for both food and service. Unpretentious, but very well made food does not disappoint. Flavors, well done and unique, yet familiar. Fun and vibrant atmosphere meets the intent, and I feel transported while enjoying my meal. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. We are sad to know the chef's health has declined, and this great place will be closing at the end of May 2024. We are traveling back to Phoenix just to visit this gem in April. Go, while you have the chance. (But please let us in line.)“
“Hands down, one of our favorite Mexican food spots on this side of Phoenix! It has been consistently delicious, good service, great prices, and our go-to when we want a burrito. Their red sauce is the best! Don't forget to try their loaded fries, too!“
“These are the absolute best shrimp tacos on the planet. You read that right. It’s not hype or fanfare. I am a career foodie and cook. Food trucks are sorely overlooked. Shrimp are fried to utter perfection. Crispy, golden battered heaven on the outside, juicy and succulent on the inside with tangy slaw, crispy cabbage and not one but two choices of chipotle sauce.(mild and spicy) Take it from me and get them with mozzarella cheese. They toast the cheese on the tortilla so that there is a crispy brown coating on top and melted, cheesy nirvana underneath. And for only $4 a taco, the portion are quite ample. Tacos are HUGE and they do not skimp on the shrimp! The owner and his family were sitting near my table and they saw my face when I took the first bite. He told his family, “Now that’s the face you wanna see!”. Places like these remind why I love food so much.“
“I hardly ever leave reviews but I truly felt like this place deserved it. This is the best Mexican food I’ve had in Phoenix. Not only that, but the staff were so incredibly nice. My husband and I ordered an online pickup when I went inside to pick it up and it wasn’t ready they offered me a seat and water. I didn’t wait even 10 minutes over the suggested time for pickup. Everyone I came into contact with was friendly and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. We got a chicken torta, asada sope, shrimp cocktail, guacamole and chips. Our total was around $63 with a tip. We thought it was a good price for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely be back!“
