The food is great! This is definitely a neighborhood/locals spot. Don't expect stellar service or great vibes, you're here for the food. While the food is great it's so easy to find good Mexican in Phoenix that you probably don't need to deal with seeking this spot out. If you find yourself driving through the neighborhood though, stop and get a taco.
This was a quaint little place I tried on an overnight layover. Not far from the air port. I was not sure what to expect. It was in a part of town where all the stores have bars on the windows. I went there at about 10 pm. I obviously looked like an out of towner. The staff was very friendly and made you feel right at home. If you’re looking for authentic food from a mom and pop neighborhood diner, this place is a gem in the desert. I loved the generous amount of beef they put on the tacos and the traditional cilantro and onion topping with homemade salsa? You can’t go wrong. They have a little something for everyone. Including vegetarian options and desserts.
