This will probably surprise most, as always, the back of the house is near perfection, the front of the house not so much. I have frequented Lamp since 2011and enjoyed every visit until the last two. From a bartender demeaning Scottsdale patron's as cheap and not big tippers (on takeout orders) to a hostess insisting to seat two people in what they think is a two top that can't fit two pizza's and a bottle of wine. Just moving to the greater Phoenix area, this has quickly become our pizza hangout.The pizza is some of the best I've ever had. The rest of items, especially the starters may need a little help or love. Salads need salt and acid. But the pizza more than makes up for the starters shortfall. Gelato is great at dessert a few more options would great.

We started with the Mignulata, lovely with roasted cauliflower and the subtly spicy LAMP sausage. The roasted mushroom pizza was delicious with the just-right wood-fired crust and a nice garlicky touch. We added cooked prosciutto but next time, would consider leaving off the prosciutto to enjoy more of the flavor of the mushroom. Finishing off with the affogato was perfect! Come early, this is a popular spot!
