“This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! The food was beyond divine! We came here with friends after spotting they had a separate vegan menu and I can’t fault the food, service or atmosphere. The staff were super helpful and friendly, attentive and eager to answer any questions we had about the food. The drinks were delicious and there’s something for everyone here. The food was next level! We shared the bottomless tortilla chips, had 2 vegan burritos and several cocktails. You must visit this amazing restaurant because it’s authentic and delicious! Also fellow vegans, you will not be disappointed. ?Vegetarian options: They have a separate vegan menuDietary restrictions: Vegan menu! ???Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor restaurant“
“Great happy hour - love that it goes until 6. Food is definitely more Tex-mex than authentic Mexican; still good but different vibe than your typical fresh street tacos. Loved the breakfast burrito and guac, did NOT love the vegetarian taco options (Brussels sprouts & grilled plantain). Good in concept but heavy on the beans and the flavors just weren’t that delicious. The blue raspberry marg was also way too sweet but they were kind enough to replace, so really appreciate that service and just would have something else next time.Atmosphere is super fun & social, on the louder side if that bugs you, and it’s a cute space. Good efficiency on the waitlist & appreciate text / yelp waitlist service so we could have a sense of time to return. Would go again & try more things!Vegetarian options: Have some good options but did not love the taco options. Recommend adding a mushroom taco! Flavors were just odd to our taste. But appreciate the options and would probably try a different dish next time“
“Went to Carlsbad Tavern off a Google search of the area in Phoenix and was amazingly surprised! Good food ans the restaurant is super cute with stuffed bats everywhere. The New Mexico flavor is all over the menu but I have to say the fried ice cream and the queso were great! There's even a late night menu as well after 10pm! Would recommend to any type of individual!Dietary restrictions: Gf is marked on the menu with also the spicy level as well.Kid-friendliness: Super cool atmosphere and there's a good choice on the kiddos menu too!Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible all around“
“Stumbled upon this place several years ago in N Scottsdale and glad I did. Mexican food like it ought to be cooked, not TEX MEX,thank goodness, do not lower your standards of quality of ingredients as I've seen this time and time again with some other Mexican " chains". servers are hit and miss, some good, some could be better and improve their skills. I drive out of the way as you don't have a NE Tempe or /NWMesa location yet?“
“Great food, friendly and fun staff, good drinksWheelchair accessibility: Only one handicap parking spot but there is a very easy to access ramp and plenty of space inside. There is an elevated dining area with 2 steps and no wheelchair access but this is only about 4 tables.“
“Wonderful experience! Our server Jessica was perfectly attentive, friendly, had excellent recommendations based on our preferences and timed the whole meal perfectly. We really felt the hospitality and that our experience was top priority; the food was excellent as well. Will definitely be back!“
“First time at this location and the food was on point and so was the service! Our server, the blonde with tattoos, and the shift leader or manager on duty, who looks like Rosario Dawson, were so attentive and provided alternate options for our food. It’s very rare now a days to go out to eat and have up to par or above par service. We didn’t feel like an inconvenience and it was really nice to be out. Thank you ladies for the world class service.“
“I can only comment on the fish tacos, because that's all I've ever ordered here, they are awesome! I come a couple times a week just to get my fish tacos fix! Totally casual atmosphere! I usually come in the evening when Claudia is working and she runs that place like she owes the joint. She is a powerhouse. When I got here tonight, they were slammed, but she is always cool headed and gets the job done! If you are looking for a great fish taco, look no further, Oscar's Taco Shop is the place!“
“Came for dinner with a group on a Friday night. Had the birria tacos and the Flaca Oaxaca. I cannot say enough great things about drinks and food! The rest of the group felt the same. Service was on point as well as the General Manager, Katie. She made sure we were well taken care of! We’ll definitely be back!“
“My mom and I love Greek food, but my dad prefers Mexican. We could not believe a place like this existed! You can get delicious hummus and burritos at the same spot. The food is awesome and the employees are very friendly; the patio during the spring is very relaxing! We will be making this our regular spot!“
“We absolutely love the Mission. We had a long travel day from Toronto and came for our 230 reso for the duck fried rice - they were service brunch so it was unfortunately not offered at that time ! My husband and I sat and the bar and sky and Jason took great care of us recommended some wonderful apps And got us a reso for 5We came back and had Ryan serve us and I cannot say enough about him. He is amazing. Made our experience even better ! Highly recommend The Mission ! We will definitely be back“
“This was my second trip to AZ and a second trip to Cien Agaves. The food was amazing both times. We arrived on a Friday mid-morning, and the town was buzzing with people. We were seated immediately, and the food was awesome. The wait staff is friendly. The prices are a little higher than back at home, but the atmosphere, service, and food make it worthwhile. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomedA real family atmosphere.“
“Amazing atmosphere and service. Our waitress,Sam, was absolutely impeccable with the best attitude! The guac was to die for, and what a beautiful area! We recommend sitting outside with the beautiful lights and tree. We went to the Scottsdale location, which did have a long wait as it’s so popular, but it was so worth it! 100% recommend. We absolutely destroyed all of this amazing food. #yummylemon #delicousguac #tastychurroKid-friendliness: Amazing I was having a good time with the clean music“
“Delicious, made to order tacos, fresh pico & whatever you like on top. Whole or refried beans & rice. Chicken was juicy & flavorful, carne asada was also very good for just $1.12 addl per taco. The hot sauce was really hot - the medium was perfect. Super friendly servers & speedy service. We've passed this place without seeing it, but we won't do that again.PS - love the cardboard containers. Earth friendly.“
“One of the best Mexican foods I’ve ever had. The presentation and the taste of every dish was amazing!! The chicken tacos were really good, and the salmon tostada was super delicious.Their chips and salsa was also great. The drinks were great too! Everything was tasty and pretty! They also have a dj that plays upbeat music to set the tone.“
“We tried this place while visiting Arizona on vacation. The waitress was super friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. She made many great suggestions, which my family all tried. The food was very good. The street corn, guacamole, and queso appetizer was delicious. I opted for a New York strip dinner - also great. BUT the chef undercooked the meat a bit. But I still enjoyed it. My wife had the chilies rellenos (?) dinner. That was amazing - especially with the chipotle cream sauce. You can put that sauce on anything and it would be great. I enjoyed the ambience here. It wasn't super loud in there, and it wasn't super quiet. It was perfect. Depending on where we stay next March will determine whether or not we'll return to this restaurant. If we stay within 15 minutes, we'll return. Compared to a lot of the restaurants in Scottsdale, I think it's worth trying ... Again, the service was excellent. Great service goes a long way. We tried another nearby restaurant (Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers) and it was probably the worst restaurant we've ever been to. But hey, we're food snobs. We live in Chicago and have the best restaurants there.“
“The best faux dive bar in the region. This is a locals-heavy, friendly, welcoming place. You'll feel like you're home, if home to you is sandwiched between a retired contractor with a lifetime of stories and two golfing bros who just got back from a Bahamas dive trip. Alexa the bartender will never steer you wrong unless that's your plan.“
“Been years since we last visited this establishment, but they haven't missed a step in their food, nor their service. . .One of the few places where they give you complimentary chips & salsa (but they mix in flour chips too, which are so very yummy)! Signature Steak Fundido, “
“So excited to have an Authentic Mexican restaurant so close to home! Food was delicious, staff was super friendly, beautiful & clean space with fun latin tunes! I love their story & can’t wait to go back! Check them out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mochilero Kitchen Scottsdale“
“Great food and a wonderful price. Nice lunch specials.Julio’s combines a combination of diner atmosphere with Mexican food. The place is clean. The food is very good, and the services is impeccable. The chips are freshly made and complementary with your order. They have beer, wine and soft drinks for saleI had a taco à la cart. It was great.Catering is availableRecommended“
“Everything was great except it would've been good to know ahead of time that they don't split checks. They will run multiple payments so if you're just splitting down the middle or whatnot, then it's fine but if you have some of your party ordering more than others, it's not great. Food was amazing though and so was the service.“
“At Manuel's, the culinary offerings hover comfortably above the ordinary, showcasing flavors that evoke satisfaction. While the food is generally pleasing and we've experienced good service in the past, the last few visits have been marred by inconsistent hospitality. Despite these recent setbacks, Manuel's remains a promising spot for those seeking a savory journey, with the hope that service quality will match the excellence of its cuisine.“
“I LOVE tacos, like LOVE THEM. I stumbled on this place as I work near here but reside in Tempe. I actually eat lunch here everyday that I work in this location as the price is amazing, FOOD OMG...SO DANG GOOD, but also seeing a strong woman running it (Ariana) ? IA the icing on the cake. We see the customers daily come in and love not only the service but food. That HABANARO salsa I will straight punish myself cuz it's so good and hot. Love this place and the family feel atmosphere.“
“This is the first time I came here with a friend of mine from work. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and I have to say it was one of the best burritos I've had in a long time and the chef well let's just say, I wish I had one of those at home. Thank you for the great burrito.“
“I went with wife and friends. Had a great time, Fernando gave us excepcional service and drinks. Soft rancheras songs were playing in the background. We had delicious queso fundido twice and tlacoyos de huitlacoche, it was my first time and it did not disappoint. I had La tampiqueña, the quality of the food was superb but the quantity was a little bit lacking. The creme brulee was not too sweet, so it was perfect for me.Parking: There is plenty of parking.“
“While visiting Scottsdale my husband made us a reservation here. I previewed the menu and became very intimidated but made a plan for what I would order.Upon entry the establishment was beautiful! We were early for our reservation so we waited outside until our table was ready. The hostess were very kind.We were seated in the bar area in extremely comfortable seating of a tufted bench with gorgeous chairs on the other side of the table. Have I mentioned how gorgeous this place was?I started with a watermelon margarita as per our server’s recommendation and it was delicious. Our table shared the queso (I recommend ordering extra tortillas!) my father in law had the lobster tacos (which are very tiny by flavorful. I had the mushroom truffle quesadillas and these were delicious!!! The sauces they were served with were so good!!! My husband had the salmon salad which I thought was very good!!! I did order us a side of cilantro lime rice which was ok, it could have been hotter. The flavors on everything were very very good!!!If you’re looking for upscale, unique flavors and a beautiful atmosphere check this place out! It is not a traditional taco spot.“
“Stumbled upon this place several years ago in N Scottsdale and glad I did. “I was here this past weekend and the whole vibe was amazing but some of the current customers seemed a little too friendly and one dude just kept bugging me while I was trying to enjoy the live music. Also, when ordered food I got an appetizer but had to ask for it to come out first if possible. I got the shrimp burrito which was out of this world!“
“I've been here a few times before, and always liked it. So I thought I'd leave a review today. I had the breakfast burrito with ham. Here's a picture of it half eaten, and it's delicious. Service is fast, restroom was clean, and food was on point.“
“Located in a strip mall, the restaurant is quite large. You can tell it's authentic and family owned. They had plenty of veggie options and the service was quick. They also offer additional salsa and keep the prices quite low. The vegetarian food was okay. Beans were not flavored with spices and seemed more like a salad. The Gordita and taco tortillas were made fresh. I thought the restaurant lacked taste but is probably better for those who eat meat. I would try once for authentic Mexican food but will likely not return.“
“We have know Caramba’s since they opened their first restaurant in the West Valley. But it has been 8+ years since we have been to a store. We are part of a Taco Tuesday group. Every Tuesday around 12 of us get together to try a New Mexican restaurant. Last week was Caramba’s on Shea and Scottsdale.Wow. The food is still fantastic. Fresh made and served hot.We loved the atmosphere in this location. More like a restaurant. Less like a fast food cantina. And, the margaritas are “off the chain” delicious and pack a punch! We all agreed that Caramba’s is one of our favorites TT restaurants so far. The value for money, food quality, TT specials, and delicious margaritas all conspired to win us over.We have tried over 50 restaurants in the North valley, so we have a pretty good knowledge of what “good” looks like in a TT restaurant.Great job Caramba’s!!“
“Saw this was on Check Please AZ and gave it a try. Really good food. Tried the Mahi Mahi, Carne Asada, Barbacoa, and Al Pastor Tacos on both Corn and Flour tortillas. Flour were very good. Also tried the Carnitas Nachos which you cannot go wrong with. House Margarita was perfect. Great place!“
“Pretty decent all around. Food definitely tastes fresh, just note that the Yucatan flavor palates aren't quite as bold as foods from other regions in Mexico. Service is fairly quick and very friendly. Value is a mixed bag - some are reasonable (bowls) others feel overpriced for what you get (drinks / some appetizers). The plantain chips and guac are a must, would take those over tortilla chips any day. $70 for 3 people - decent for the area, but not a great value for counter order food. Overall, would come again, but only when visiting the mall.“
“Ordered 3 beef rolled tacos (my apologies for eating one before I took photo). Greeted by friendly cashier and to-go order took was ready in a timely manner. The place wasn’t busy and overall it looked clean and orderly. The rolled tacos were cooked perfectly crispy (not overdone or not greasy), the portion size was right for me. The price for a large drink and 3 rolled tacos was a little higher than I’d normally pay. But no big deal.“
“Fabulous patio service during their very busy happy hour. Ordered six or seven things to share and were not disappointed. Chambord Magaritas were outstanding and do refreshing. Do fun looking out on the water, very relaxing setting Can't wait to go back!“
“I've been eating at Someburros since probably 2005. Multiple different locations. It is absolutely a favorite. Love the chips and salsa and the way they do crispy tacos. Just wish one was closer to me on the west side of 51 verses the east side.“
“This place is so nice and cozy with great food, beautiful outside seating and a wonderful staff. I highly recommend this location if you are in the area and what authentic tacos ? parking in the back or on the street.Vegetarian options: Barritos & TacosParking: Park in the back or on the streetKid-friendliness: Great outside place in the back for children to playWheelchair accessibility: On the ground level“
“First time here and came on a Tuesday night for dinner with my husband, perfect day for their taco Tuesday special (2.69 per taco any kind of meat). I tried the shredded chicken, sweet barbacoa pork and regular beef-all were good and super juicy! Not dry like a lot of places! Tacos are not small, they are good size tacos on tortillas pan fried with a little oil and were soft but not chewy and very good! Tacos held all of the fixings and didn't fall apart even with all that juicy meat, so savory, Pico and lettuce, cilantro, cheese, and paid a little extra for sour cream and guac although I would probably not need the extra charge because they would have been plenty flavorful without. Could have added a side of rice and black or pinto beans for $3 but this was so much food I decided better not. Guac is a little spicy just a heads up. Husband ordered the grilled chicken burro with black beans and rice (first burro here but second time here he's had their burrito bowl and says it was very good!) He was very impressed with the burro, likes this place a little more than Chipotle for its authenticity when you compare the two but they are both similar I would agree). I think you get more flavor and more for your money. All in all, it was $36 including two drinks-not bad when you break down what we paid for (receipt is attached). Recommend over Chipotle and definitely in general. Service is very nice, very quick, very open dining, everything was stocked, even napkins!“
“Visited on a Wednesday evening and sat at a large table outside by the yard games. It was nice that my 5 and 6 year old could play after finishing their food. The yard games could use an update/upgrade.The server was awesome (a fellow midwesterner from Chicago). He helped recommend food, was attentive, and overall a great server. I ordered the Street Cart chicken tacos with corn tortillas. The flavors were amazing! My kiddos ordered a chicken quesadilla and the beef soft tacos. They both loved their meals. We enjoyed the table chips and salsa also.To drink, I ordered the house Amber Ale and it was delicious. My mom ordered cherry limeade, my grandma had a prickly pear margarita, and my kiddos had shirley temples. We all enjoyed the food, drinks, service, and vibe.I would definitely return and highly recommend!“
“Great Mexican restaurant! Had Seafood Grande-it was delicious! My husband had the Tampiquena. The asada was tender and great flavor! Great portions! Desert was wonderful! Churros and fried ice cream. Staff was very friendly and robot was a surprise! Will be back.“
“Friggin delicious. Get the guacamole sol and corn as an app. Then order the carne asada burrito, grilled, smothered in pork carne verde. Get the slaw instead of rice. Top the burrito with the slaw, left over guac from the appetizer, and some of the salsa Fresca. You’re welcome.“
“I would describe this place as an actually good and authentically Mexican version of a Chipotle. You pick your protein and then how you want it prepared (burrito, nachos, tacos, salad, etc.) and they cook it right in front of you and you pick which toppings you want to add.Very tasty stuff and it's not going to cost you an arm and a leg. The breakfast burrito (which is my favorite and served all day) only costs about $10 (it comes with chips, but this is the price without a drink) and it's big; enough to be a meal on its own. If you want a quick Mexican food option that is inexpensive, but way better than its price tag suggests, I highly recommend these guys.“
“Ordering from Jalepeno Inferno via DoorDash was a culinary delight. The mini fundidos were bite-sized bursts of cheesy goodness with a perfect jalapeno kick, while the spinach enchiladas offered a flavorful and satisfying vegetarian option. ?Despite delivery, the food arrived hot and fresh, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality. With prompt service and delicious flavors. I strongly suggest Jalepeno Inferno for a convenient and flavorful feast delivered to your doorstep.“
“We just started to do an annual spring training trip, and this has been a go-to spot for us. Love the patio seating. Food is fantastic. The Queso Bean dip with Chorizo is the best I've had. The steak fajitas were plenty. Big portions and great pricing.“
“Super awesome Mexican food! I love the 3 tacos for $15 that they have on the menu. They do an insanely good tableside guac too. The moment you sit down they will bring you house made chips & salsa- which always hits the spot. They have a large patio that's very inviting with flowers and sun umbrellas. Definitely have a tequila cocktail too... It will feel like Mexico!“
“Ok so food was good, but it was average. It was not authentic Mexican, and was very americanized. Maybe I let all the great reviews set my expectations too high?Definitely pass on the chocolate cake. The El Pedregal Margarita was delicious though, I could have drank 5 of them and I had 3 LOL“
“I just moved to the neighborhood & I already feel like I have found the place where everybody knows my name. I came here once last week, and I feel the bartender recognized me. Service was quick & 5 stars. The tortilla soup was a Souper star, and in happy you get 2 street hot dogs for 7. Can you beat that?I'll be back“
“Absolutely phenomenal service, ambiance, and food!Found this little gem while in the area with my fiancé and two dogs. The front outdoor patio is dog friendly and our server was just as attentive to our pups as she was to us! The guacamole with pomegranate seeds and roasted corn was delectable, as was the queso fundido con chorizo, lamp lollipops, and Al Pastor! Definitely found my new favorite go-to spot in the area! The decor was stunning and upscale, and the staff were extremely welcoming and courteous! Cannot rave about this place enough! Please do yourself and your tastebuds a favor and check this amazing restaurant out!“
“Bright clean family place. Vegetarian chi michanga had surprising ingredients that blended nicely together. Owner/manager seated early arrivals from party of 8 promptly and that was appreciated. He also came over to table to apologize about a missing dish once all were served and one was not. He comped the plate when it finally arrived at our table after everyone else was done eating.Vegetarian options: Veggie chimi was quite good thank you, Some who order vegetarian fare might be expecting animal-free beans and cheese as filling, rather than broccoli and cauliflower. Again the taste was great, it was just a surprise.Parking: Big parking garage next door.“
“Don't go for the service... but the food was so good I am compelled to give them 5 stars. Highly recommend the poblano enchiladas with lobster. Wife liked margarita flavor choices, though the margarita (not a Cadillac) was average, to her.“
