“Love this location. The staff is helpful and friendly. My only issue is that recently they have decided to treat the place like a nightclub rather than a coffee shop.... They have the music up loud! It is neither conducive for personal conversations and/or phone calls. If I wanted a nightclub atmosphere I would have gone to a nightclub rather than Starbucks.“

“09/29/2023Trying to find the closest Starbucks could be a challenge at times but this one is conveniently located inside the Fry's Food & Drug. We are really stopping here grabbing one for the road. So you can do your grocery shopping wide awake or hop in the car with your beverage forgetting about your groceries. Since this is part of the grocery store, your receipt shows the grocery store name so you cannot redeem your stars at this location. You will continue earning stars with your purchase though. Since there wasn't anyone here, there was no line. It's really relaxed at this location but you won't be able to sit down and hop on the Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi doesn't exist here from Starbucks and there aren't any tables with electrical outlets for you to camp out. Enjoy your beverage and snacks.“

“This location is the best in Arizona. The staff is beyond amazing. I come in here regularly and they’re so professional and kind. Orders are given out timely and with a smile. Everyone is extremely patient. Other Starbucks locations do not compare. They need to use this store location as a model for the company. They exceed expectations regularly. Most of these 1 star reviews are idiotic, irrelevant and harsh to say the least. People, ... don't bother writing a 1 star review over a single encounter and your hurt feelings!For example: @d sander "app never works seamlessly. Not this store in particular."So write a review of the app! ugh!People just want to be heard and whine, so they leave a 1 star instead of honesty and really evaluating their entire experience.Anyway!! The staff here is amazing! Nick, Jenny, Haley, Marissa, Ashton, to name a few. 9 times out of 10 I'm greeted with a smile and hello upon arrival. Barista's offer me suggestions when asked and are always eager to be helpful to my dumb questions like "how do I know how many points are expiring?"Most of the time I go get coffee here for the people interaction and warm welcoming not the coffee. The coffee is just an added bonus. The staff here takes pride in there work and gives the locals a sense of community.You all are appreciated, keep up the great work!“

“I go out of my way to come to this Starbucks! There are 2 other stores plus a couple of grocery stores within 3 miles of my home. I'll drive the 6 miles for the INCREDIBLE Cafe Mocha they make...it's better than any other location, including out of state stores.“

“The baristas here are so nice and welcoming. I’ve been coming in and sitting for 2-3 hours at a time, and they never make me feel bad for staying so long.There are also plenty of outlets to plug into here for working on a laptop. Big reason why I come to this location.“

“I come in almost daily for my Coffee fix and am always greeted by Sam. He is such a polite young man and always chats with his customers and really gets to know them. He always knows my order and is always smiling and quick to help. He seems to be there the most often out of the employees (who are all nice) which shows he is reliable and always willing to help. The coffee always comes out great as well as short lines and wait time then your regular Starbucks. I will continue to keep coming for my daily fix. Thank you.“

“I came in furious because I ordered from Uber Eats and my order was wrong but the people in this location took care of me! I was so upset because my order was wrong but the way I treated and taken care here was so wonderful!! My drink was corrected and was so delicious!!! Thinking of writing to headquarters to acknowledge this gr8t starbucks location.My 2 yr old car stopped in the middle of the drive thru today and would not start.....with many cars behind me. Oh my!!!! The employees came right out with customers and helped push my car out of the drive thru. They rallied.to helped me. Then 2 other customers helped jump-start my car. “I live within walking distance to this location so I am there a lot. The staff has always been super sweet, accommodating and welcoming. Now when I walk in the manager greets me by name and somehow remembers what I order - I don't even remember what I order. I love coming here to work occasionally as well. “I often visit the Starbucks location on Hayden Rd. In Scottsdale. My drink of choice is usually a Medicine Ball with Mint Majesty Tea. I’m always greeted with a warm welcome by the staff and enjoy the inviting atmosphere. Madi goes above and beyond by providing service excellence in every interaction. She greets customers by name, also remembers their drinks, and any modifications customers may request. What makes her service memorable and exceptional is her genuine approach, caring manner, and warm smile with every customer. I always enjoy my visit at this Starbucks location and definitely recommend stopping in for your favorite coffee, drink or snack. Madi is a star!“

“Alex makes the BEST coffee drinks! You'd think that all SBUX were the same but I'm here to tell you - that is not the case. This guy has TALENT! There is a VAST difference in the taste of my latte when I go to a different location. I would go out of my way to have Alex make my drink. “The staff is very friendly and they always make my drink right. During rush hour times it can take a while for them to get your mobile order ready so keep that in mind - I usually order 20 minutes before I plan to pick it up if it’s a weekday morning between 6:30-9am.“

If you buy a drink while shopping, there is a free refill if you are a gold member! I love that this place has clean restrooms. In the back corner, they also offer free coffee grounds to put in your garden!!!!!“

Just moved to the area and have been to a few other starbucks but I love this one. Even if it is in Safeway, it's still number one in the area in my book! “I'm sure Joseph is up to speed now since that previous one-star review. In fact, Joseph was leaving his shift as I entered the store so I asked him if they were closing. He gave me a cheerful response and told me his colleague would take care of me. She was equally pleasant and helpful, making both drinks exactly as ordered. One thing to remember is that a lot of grocery stores, including ones that have a Starbucks, became understaffed during and after Covid. Those embedded Starbucks may have fewer employees, some might be newer to the job taking over for more experienced employees who never came back, and they may sometimes need to close earlier than their stated hours because of understaffing issues. So let's all try to be sensitive to that new reality.“

“I visited this store a few minutes ago on 1/9/24 and my latte was made perfectly, despite lots of customizations... and the steamed milk was not burnt, which has been a frequent experience for me at other stores lately.The barista was so pleasant and friendly, and my latte so good, I decided to go back for a second one after I finished my grocery shopping. There was a different barista this time, and she was also incredibly pleasant and friendly, and once again, my latte was absolutely perfect.Kudos to this Starbucks for training their employees to make a good latte. “This is usually my go-to on the way to work when I'm feeling like spending $6 on a coffee. On the days I'm not, I usually hit up Dunkin' for (not as good, but 1/3 the price) coffee. The people at this location are super friendly and always give me my to-go order (I like to order through the app to get my drink just right) with one of those green stopper things so my drink stays piping hot and doesn't slosh around when I'm driving. They were out of my fave peppermint latte stuff for a bit, but it's all back and good to go. A little hard to get to behind the Arby's, but we make it happen when coffee must be had!“

“This review is particularly for the staff at this Starbucks. I went in during the morning rush & I expected it to to be busy. It's a weekday & people are rushing to get their coffee before work. You also have to factor in that it's the holiday season & everyone is dying to get their festive themed cups. The staff said they were running about 20 minutes behind, but it's not their fault. They had plenty of staff but there's only so much you can do when a massive wave of foot traffic comes in, mobile orders are piling up & they've also got the drive through to deal with. I was shocked how rude some customers were to the staff. No one likes to wait, but people were literally insisting their order be made next out of order. I was so impressed with the staff for maintaining their professionalism & for how hard they were working. I made sure to say thank you when my order was ready. “I got a venti double chocolate chip frappuccino with oat milk and no whipped cream and they supplied what I asked for.I felt a feeling of patience and kindness from the people that took my order and I appreciate it a lot. They made sure they got my order correct and I appreciate their kindness.Plus, I love how late they close. I wasn’t having the best day and wanted to treat myself and they were one of the only starbucks locations open.It did take a little bit to receive my drink but I don’t mind a wait. The location is inside the mall so I do wish it was possible to have the restaurant with an outdoor entrance but other than that, no complaints <3“

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for atmosphere is because it is busy and I am tired. “I've been visiting this Starbucks the last few Friday's, and want to applaud the gentleman who is working. As a former Starbucks franchisee, I understand the need for only one staff member. He does a really nice job, and is very polite, friendly and quick. I notice this store does a lot of on line orders, which seems to be a good source of revenue. I only have four out of five stars, for the dining area could use some attention . I'm not sure who manages this (Fry's or Starbucks), however this young man can't possibly do it all. I'll be back to support him.“

“Overall, it's a good location. The only issue I had was when I ordered , no one called out my name stating it was ready. They have a system where customers need to find their own order. This is fine - the issue is not knowing when it's ready, so we are just looking at and touching other people's orders.“
