The chicken and brisket were cooked perfectly! Tender and moist. I prefer my sauce with a bit more kick - but recommend this place and will be returning. Wonderful counter service - so glad I went.

Loved it! waaaay better than Rudy's TX BBQ or a Famous Dave's. Brisket, pulled pork, potatoes salad, Mac n' cheese, onion rings and slaw were DELICIOUS ?. worth trying. we happen upon it thru GOOGLE. We not from AZ, just visiting. Small inside, plenty of outside room.

Smokey Mo has consistently been absolutely delicious in the 4 years I've been coming here. Best BBQ in town for me. They have a huge menu with a ton of combinations to try. Amazing Mac, cornbread, collards, wings, sauce. 10/10.I got a huge catering order from them for my wedding recently. Pat and the pitmaster went out of their way to make sure our food was extremely fresh and just the way we wanted it. Can't recommend them enough. Thank you Smokey MO :)

We were down there several weeks ago for the gem and mineral show and stumbled onto this version of a BBQ gem! excellent homemade family style barbecue with very tasty sides, coleslaw and mac & cheese. we loved it and will definitely seek it out when we go back sometime in the future. #

Sort of a disappointment ?. Cute tiny place, most of the seating is on a patio. Only one other couple there at lunch on Tuesday. Very friendly staff at the counter where u order.I got shredded chicken tacos, a calabacita taco, n a side of beans. The tacos were pretty good n the beans were exceptional.However.....my husband got a pulled pork sandwich n a smoked turkey sandwich. Fairly awful, ate some of em n threw away about half. The pulled pork was boring, no slaw or fixins on it, just a bit of BBQ sauce. The smoked turkey also no fixins just a couple of slices of processed meat.May or may not return ? maybe for some tacos someday. Overpriced for what you get.

Felt like I was in a movie. What a nice surprise. Manager Brandon knew exactly what I'd like as a new customer. Brisket was very good, but maybe not smokey enough. Sausage also great. Best sauce I have ever had. You have to try this place.

My review of this place is 100% skewed by the type of BBQ I like.I like Texas, Memphis, and NC. I don't think l like KC.The guy at the counter was awesome. He made good suggestions, was friendly AF, and clearly did Smokey Mo's right.At the end of the day, I just prefer a different style of BBQ. But if you are a KC devotee, I definitely recommend.

Got the brisket, Mac and Cheese, and Greens and they all taste great. I've lived in the South and the Greens are definitely on par with back East. The brisket was tender and moist, the smoke was on point. The Mac and Cheese was pretty darn great too. Definitely worth coming here, also bonus points for having Big Red on tap for the soda fountain!

Best BBQ in town. Other places will try to sell you on an atmosphere or a price. Smokey Mos doesn't need to. Their food speaks for itself. Staff was very kind and genuine. I love that. Real local. Real food. I will be coming back every time I crave bbq.
