First time getting carry-out from Charquitas Mexican Food. WOW, what good food! Prepared perfectly and quickly so we could get on our way. The helpings were so generous we had leftovers for dinner tonight. WIN! Only a very short jump off the main road and definately worth it!

I've eaten there twice now and both main dishes were incredibly bland and flavorless. Worst Mexican food I have had in years. Mexican is known for its flavor! Put some seasoning in those dishes! Gringo Mexican I guess. Had tacos and pollo asada.One thing that WAS quite tasty was the tosito or whatever it was called. Bacon wrapped pepper stuffed with cheese and served with a soy sauce to dip. Yum!

So, I wrote about this place before. I'm a southern Arizona native, born and raised. I have lived out of state the past few years but always come to visit family a few weeks a year. Anyway I'm here a little longer this time helping out some family and the past month been looking for my favorite Sonoran dog. My first was at El Guero Canelos in the late 90's.
