“Visiting this cozy breakfast café was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression on me, thanks to its atmosphere and culinary prowess. The coffee, particularly the cappuccinos, was rich and deep, invigorating the senses and energizing me for the day ahead. The pastries deserve special mention. From the fresh croissants with their appetizing golden crust to sweet pastries filled with delicate cream, each item was baked to perfection, pleasing both the palate and the eye.But what truly sets this breakfast experience apart is the stunning view. Enjoying a delicious meal while gazing out at a beautiful landscape added an element of tranquility and beauty to the morning, making it not just a meal, but a serene escape. This café is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor great coffee, exquisite pastries, and a peaceful start to their day.”
“Speedy service and wonderful service during a rush hour? Insane! The food was delicious and the atmosphere inside of the cafe makes you want to order more just to stay.”
“We have been coming to Tuscany ever since we decided to try it a few years back and last night I brought my mother who's visiting. We were seated inside and you can really appreciate how much effort does into your dish when you see the chefs at work. Everyone there (chefs, servers, busses etc.) were ON during the Easter long weekend. Though we had to wait about an hour for our food to come it, it truly was worth the wait. The food was absolutely heavenly and the flavours were perfected. Divine!I recommend, especially during the busy season or long weekends, to not come starving. And have compassion because during Easter they are still operating on winter staff on a small island. We had: Bolognaise Pasta, Tuscany PizzaDine-in and reserved the day before for 7:30pm, seated around 7:40pm, our order came out around 8:25-8:30pm.Yes I would recommend this place and will definitely be ordering here again.”
“Valhalla espresso has been my go-to coffee for many years. It brews the best shot of any roast I've tried - and I've tried a lot! The Roastery's excellent quality is always consitent, and they fill orders promptly every time.”
“Food was really good here, and there was something special in each of the tapas. Their homemade mustard was amazing. The mackerel was perfectly done.Go by their advice on choosing 2 tapas per person. We got 5 for the two of us, but it was one too many.”
“There is a couple of tables, but it's mostly take out. The sushi and sashimi portions are bigger than you'd get in the greater Vancouver area and much tastier as I found the rice filler was not as big and therefore you could taste the rest of the food involved. Also, it was a very friendly place and I really enjoyed what I ordered. I'd go again. I also ordered bowls of food for my friends and they also really enjoyed it. We did take out and I'll go back for more again.”
“Excellent food with good quality meat and vegetables. The Dirty Laundry Chardonnay is very goodService was excellent. Highly recommend. Line ups in the afternoon.”
“The flavors here are just amazing and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I had the beef burrito and it was just perfect! Will for sure come back to this place.”
“A well-kept secret that I need to share! The bakery has yummy fresh baked goods, and we had a lovely breakfast of eggs and bacon and breakfast sandwich. Bon appétit!”
“Great service: prompt, friendly, happy. The food met expectations; especially enjoyed the chowder and key lime pie. Some vegetarian options. Sat outside with heated lamps and fire, nice view, relaxing.”
“Probably the best Japanese ramen place in UBC area. Honestly soup is too salty for me, but that’s just me I guess. They recently updated their recipes and taste even better. Highly recommend!”
“Found this place when we were looking for breakfast spots near Horseshoe Bay.The Isetta Breakfast was really nice, potatoes were delicious but the sourdough toast pieces were pretty small, and a little too hard.I love croissants and the pain au chocolate here did not disappoint!”
“The Black Bean has great coffee, kind service and chillin' atmosphere. Location couldn't be better; nestled in lower Gibsons in a trendy neighborhood with fantastic views. The prices are fair and the food is good.Parking: A very tight, little street with only a few spots in front. Best to walk up if possible”
“Wildlight is spectacular!! The chowder is the best I have ever had. It was the most amazing dinning experience. The appetizers, mains, specials, deserts - it’s a taste bud explosion of perfection. Love it and recommend anyone who loves fine food with a creative and delicious flare go to WILDLIGHT. The staff are both informative and attentive. Way to go!!”
“A favourite stop in Gibsons. Fantastic service (staff remembered us from our visit last summer) and we adore the donuts. Plus, great gluten free options tooDietary restrictions: They have options for gluten free snacks.”
“Now and then when I need a coffee I’ll come here. It’s close by and a nice quiet place for a morning coffee before all the grumpy people wake up to go to work. I’ll sit by the window and just look out into the parking lot to pause before heading out for the daily chores. Life here is like a small town. Relaxed and less stress. A nice place to retire if you can afford it. Coffee is excellent. I bought some coffee to make at home in our coffee machine.”
“Excellent place, very good atmosphere and exquisite food, I just didn't give it 5 stars for food because the pizza was very spicy and they warned us that it was like that. But I recommend it 100%”
“This place is special! Lisa is so welcoming and friendly. Food is interesting and delicious. As a group we had most of the vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu and everything was incredible. Love this place!”
“This is exceptional sushi, found in few places, including Vancouver. The Chicken Karage was juicy, meaty, crispy and golden. The Hokkigai Nigiri was tender, sweet and delicately tasted of the ocean, like a kiss from the sea. It has the very best Negitoro roll we have ever eaten. We felt we got our money’s worth and more. A ‘must stop n dine’ if you are visiting g the Sunshine Coast.”
“An absolute Gem! They had excellent friendly service and staff. The food quality was top notch and will definitely be coming back on my next visit. I had the Classic Breakfast, really good!”
“Delicious food and healthy portions in a warm, clean atmosphere, with kind people. Service was quick and helpful, and menu is interesting and exciting. The Goggie Dog was excellent, as was my wife's Bibimbop. If I lived in West Vancouver, I would live inside of the Olive & Anchor.Vegetarian options: VeganDietary restrictions: Vegan”
“The store looked a bit busy today yet the service was prompt as usual and the taste was quite good. Despite a big rush of customers the taste was not compromised. Just wow.”
“I've been going to Persephone every time I visit the sunshine coast for about a decade now, and regularly call it the happiest place on earth. I will always suggest it as a Sunshine Coast destination. But I have never been tempted to review it until this past weekend though!I ended up chatting with an employee there, Lisa, as she was making the rounds and it turns out we both have the same obscure breed of dog. Neat! She was friendly and engaging and made me Mom who was visiting from out of province feel right at home.BUT way way beyond that! She ended up finding my wallet that I had dropped and remembered that were were on our way to the ferry back to the city. Lisa drove down to the terminal, walked up to where the passengers load and waved us down right before we got on the ferry to give me my wallet back. She is an absolute ANGEL. I screamed it at the ferry terminal, but in case you didn't hear - THANK YOU LISA!Great beer, great food, and great people.”
“Such yummy treats. Always a happy warm environment. Can sit and enjoy your dessert on the comfortable couch. Or enjoy some lunch and people watching at the table.”
“The carnitas and house chips were fantastic. Atmosphere was authentic and the service was top notch. The outdoor patio was great. Lots of gluten free options clearly labeled on the menu. I would go again in a heartbeat.”
“Rain or Shine is my favourite Ice Cream place and this is my first time to come to this location at UBC.Compared with the location I normally go to on Cambie, this location at UBC is very small. There are not many seats you can sit inside the store. I didn’t feel comfortable for having a seat right by the door. However, it was also a bit too chilly for me to stand and enjoy my ice cream outside. We had single two flavours today. In my opinion, it is the better deal that allows you to try two flavours at the same time. It is also a more responsible choice if you need to watch your calorie intake. We went for two seasonal flings - Miso Dulcey Choc and Malt Choc Honeycomb. They were both surprisingly good and could not decide which one is better. Perhaps, Miso Dulcey Choc was more unexpected. It kind of had a creamy texture which we enjoyed. Malt Choc Honeycomb tasted like Milo - the malt chocolate drink that we grew up with.”
“We had, a brisket sandwich, a smoked salmon sandwich and an incredible mango and frangipane tartlet. Both sandwiches were fantastic, but the tartlet was extraordinary. The service was also extremely friendly and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and eating this yummy meal.”
“Loved the Zanzibar hot chocolate! It was lovely and rich with hints of orange flavours. It is served with a ginger spiced cupcake garnished with fresh fruit. Such an exotic hot chocolate. My husband and I both loved it.”
“Nestled within the UBC campus, Only U Cafe offers a delightful dining experience with its tasty food and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features a variety of options that cater to different tastes, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. The owner's warm hospitality adds a personal touch to the dining experience, making patrons feel right at home. While the prices at Only U Cafe may be slightly higher than average, the quality of the food makes it worth the investment. From savory sandwiches to flavorful salads, each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, leaving diners satisfied with their culinary experience. In conclusion, Only U Cafe may be a tad pricey, but the delicious food and friendly service more than make up for it. For a satisfying meal on campus, look no further than Only U Cafe.”
“Picture a beautiful sunny morning on the pier on bowen Island where you can watch the ferry docking and add a wonderful tumaric latte very tasty curry chick pea salad but of course I had to add 4 slices of bacon very tasty the sandwiches are great also with the bacon they use that life for now.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sandwiches soups and salad.Parking: There are very few spots near the pier, but if you don't mind paying Park at steam ship marina short walk to the Cafe.”
