I've always said that the decor of a restaurant doesn't matter as long as the food slaps. At Chettinad Dosa Palace, you can expect a strange small restaurant nestled in a grimy disheveled parking lot. You can also expect the most perfect, crispy, paper thin dosas filled with the most flavorful meat or vegetables you could ever taste. It was an interesting experience, not quite as expected but the food was good..The poor waitress/ server was overworked and appeared to be the only one serving customers, cleaning tables and trying to accommodate new customers. Some gave up and left. It was a busy night with the Burnaby Christmas Village going on next door..so this restaurant got a lot of customers than usual I suspect. I ordered dosa and it was really nice but service is worst during closing. Guy was in so much rush. No extra spoon given.Charged for extra sambhar. I saw this for the first time in my life that someone charging for extra sambhar + all of the sudden I started feeling cold due to less heat(same my friends were experiencing.Maybe they should hire a new server (seriously telling)Girls are far better than guys during service at restaurants.But I appreciate chef for making good dosa....read full review
