I can't believe we've lived so close for so long, and this was the first time we actually went! What a wonderful, small, traditional sushi restaurant. The prices were so reasonable for the quality of food - the salmon, roe, prawns, and tuna were incredibly fresh. I had been looking for a restaurant nearby with sashimi, and Kazu delivered. We already know what to order next (the squid must be good since it was sold out) - we can't wait to come back and try more, soon!
Solid (real deal) Japanese place in Burnaby Heights, close to Safeway. The place has ridiculously short business hours (it's only open 15h a week), but it is packed. There's a reason why.Parking is available on Hastings, as well as the side streets.The dining area looks like something out of the 1990s. Nice and dated.Staff are friendly. My partner and I are sad to hear of your closure. You have been serving an outstanding Japanese meals in the past ten years. When we showcased our neighborhood to out of town visitors a stop at your restaurant was always a must. We will sure miss you and wish you the best.
