If I could give it more stars I would. Pork belly omelette was incredible, the entire staff make you feel right at home.Everything from start to finish was top shelf. Can’t wait to go back.

So good. Try the eggs benny. Siobhan is a bundle of energy, so much fun to be around and this is the perfect place for her.

This place was the highlight of our trip! Decided to walk in on a whim and accidentally found the most amazing place on the island - we were travelling by RV with my two tired and worn out kids and stepped into a little piece of heaven. The owners made us feel like family and the food was some of the best we've ever had. Could not recommend this place more, don't miss it! The only downside is that they're not in my city :D

My partner and I decided to have a sit down breakfast before doing some downtown holiday shopping. We were greated courteously and promptly seated at an available table. Drinks were ordered and delivered promptly, ,my partner was greatly pleased with the quality of coffee. We ordered our Michaels favorite traditional benny, hers bacon mine on ham both hard poached. I was at first surprised by the side, the new hashbrowns or smashed deepfried potatoes were not visually appealing but were in fact perfectly cooked and delicious. My hard poached egg was cooked pefectly, unfortunately it was served under a bland and cold hollandaise sauce. After my first bite of overcooked ham my brunch partner found a hair in her hollandaise halting our enjoyable brunch experience entirely. We asked for our bill and my partnered asked for her meal to be discounted and we were reffered to a supervisor who promptly told us we were wrong and that we should listen. At which point I insisted on getting our bill so we could take "off main"off my list of local restauraunts that will receive my custom going forward.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

Just had my first and last bad experience with Michael's off main. The Benny here is was once my favorite in town today it failed to meet up to their usual exceptional standard. We are all human some days we admittedly underperform. Today when we tried respectfully to express our disappointment with the meals cold eggs and hollandaise sauce, the overcooked and off flavored ham. We were promptly directed to a supervisor who immediately began defending the food instead of listening to why we were not satisfied.Telling your customer to just listen when they are expressing their dissatisfaction is not going to engender a beneficial resolution for an unhappy customer. You literally cut us off before we had an opportunity to tell you about the hair in the hollondaise.

This used to be my favourite place for a delicious brunch benny. Our server was exceptional prompt and cheerful. We both ordered hard poached bennie's, mine with ham my partner with bacon. The hash browns were unexpected , a deep fried crushed potato rather than a traditional cut or shredded potato hash. I also was not a fan of the sprouts mixed into the meagre serving of hollandaise sauce, garnish belongs on the side of the plate not heaped onto my main course. The eggs were perfectly cooked but arrived at our table barely tipid covered in a cold hollandaise sauce. My partner barely touched her meal after also finding a hair mixed in the hollandaise. I finished one half of benny which I found extremely bland with a strange off flavor from the extremely overcooked ham. We told our server we were not satisfied and a supervisor or front staff manager came over and proceeded to explain why we were wrong ! I have worked in a kitchen, I understand there are many reasons why a meal can go sideways from poorly prepared ingredients improperly stored ingredients or cross contaminated food contacts. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes. Those deserving of my custom own their mistakes and make an effort to acknowledge when they fail to achieve their regular level of excellence. Today off main failed and spectacularly tried to blame me for not approving of their failed efforts.

I was charged 25$ for mushroom toast , was not informed of the included gratuity charge and double tipped , the server expressed mirth at this. A real heartbreaking experience that amplified my hangover. I sought comfort and received a knife straight to my financial security and dignity. My friends still mock me to this day.

We went there for breakfast fare because it is always good, but saw French Onion soup on special board. “Excellent “ Best we have had in a restaurant. ( I make a slightly better version, but it is a bit of work). Suggest they put it on the menu sheet. Servers are great, and friendly. Tables are a bit cramped but it is not a big venue. Our new favourite go to brunch place in Courtenay.
