Amazing ambience & service! My man got the filet mignon burger and he loved it said it could use some more sauce. We got crab cake for an appy & it was delicious. I got the lobster dinner, lobster was amazing but my mashed potatoes tasted like they might’ve been burned at some point and they were cold. Got a free surprise dessert for my fiancés birthday and it was effing delicious - white chocolate cheesecake, all nice & fresh & it was all a surprise for him that he really enjoyed. Thank you Louie’s I don’t think I would’ve got such an experience anywhere else in Nelson.

I stayed at a hotel and dined at their exceptional Restaurant. The atmosphere is really good—clean, spacious, and with a vast selection of drinks. Starting with a creamy and delicious prawn dish, followed by delightful pasta and a great-tasting lobster tail, although the portions on the lobster were a bit small. Justine, our server, was incredibly friendly. The service was impressively fast. I definitely plan on returning.Vegetarian options: Few optionsParking: Street parking
My partner and I are staying in Nelson for one night, and decided to give Louie’s Steakhouse a try, the food was phenomenal. We ordered the 5oz filet, as well as the Danny Rickaby burger, with truffle pomme frites. We started with a market salad and ended with their house made chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was very quiet on a Sunday night, we were one of two tables, which made us nervous at first, but turned out to be the cherry on top. I don’t know where everyone is but they’re missing out!Service I gave 4 stars as we started out with one server who didn’t seem too familiar with the menu, and then a new server took over and she was young but nice and capable. If we ever wind up in Nelson again, this is where we will eat!

Had an absolutely wonderful dinner when we were here. Came from out of town and treated ourselves. Our server was wonderful - I’m sorry i don’t remember her name but she had short let red hair. I would come back here again next time we visit Nelson. Also, the Mac and cheese was amazing!** update: we came here about a year later and brought friends and it was fantastic. They loved it as well! A pricier meal but well worth it for a good steak dinner.
Hands down one of the best steaks I've ever had. Everything was perfectly cooked. Our server was lovely but seemed distracted at times and we were never offered more drinks or checked on during the meal. Otherwise it was a perfect dinner experience.
The service was the saving grace of this place. We had wonderful waitstaff. The food was not worth the money. The drinks were sub par. The environment was wayyy too loud and the music was unfitting for a steakhouse. All in all, it was just ok, and in some ways not great, for a steakhouse. I expected a lot different than what we got.

Ordered the filet mignon on the menu and came out cold. When the food was returned our original waitress did not come back and had a new waitress. Not a fan will not go back. Food was overpriced for what you get.
