“We have now gotten take out 3x in a row from here so I feel like it’s safe to say that we love this place! It has been challenging to find good and reasonably priced South East Asian take out and this is so much better than what I was expecting! I feel like I’m eating the food of my childhood. So far, we’ve had just the Pineapple Fried Rice and Coconut Curry Soup and both have been fantastic! The Gyozas are also very good! I took a point off for atmosphere because I don't think this is the kind of place that is intended for dine-in anyway, but it's clean and fairly spacious for the size should you wish to stay. The food was also ready right on time and the portion size was quite generous.“

Would be 5 stars, but the room is small, and the volume generated by the one large group the last time we were there made it impossible for us to have a normal level conversation. “In general the Thai food is far from authentic. Yet another Thai restaurant that significantly tones down the level of spiciness and sourness to cater the taste of westerners. The Tom Yum soup is so sweet I wonder if they dumped a can of ketchup into it. On the plus side, the waiter was quite nice and friendly and the environment is clean and tidy. Still I wouldn’t recommend if you want to try authentic Thai food.“

“Finally, I had a chance to stop into Fat Mao and they didn't disappoint. Was also glad i beat in the lunch rush.Ordered the roti and spicy boat noodles. I was happy that the roti wasn't oily, it was nicely cooked & crispy. The spicy boat noodles were flavourful and definitely a good serving size. Can't wait to go back.“

“Best Thai food in the town!I’ve been trying different Thai restaurants and this is the best.Really flavorful tamarind Pad Thai!!!! Some restaurants don’t use tamarind sauce but tomato sauce instead. This Pad Thai is the best one I’ve tried so far and they can do really spicy too ( more than Thai spicy ).Not only Pad Thai but other dishes are good too, such as Khao Soi chicken, pad see ew, curries and soup.The chef is from Thailand and has decades of experience. She said customers are like her kids and she enjoys making delicious food for us and seeing us eating happily!Highly recommend!!!!!!Parking: Underground parking“
“My mother and I are good friends with the owner of the restaurant. We decided to support her local business in the community. Our family was a big group and we managed to all fit in including our four family dogs. No reservations are accepted as we had to arrive a little earlier for our family group to be accommodated. Our family enjoyed dining out on the patio. Our water glasses were always filled, except our supper came later for four patrons as the other part of the group were almost finished. Overall the wait staff service was smooth and efficient. The prices seemed affordable for Thai cuisine. All payments were made on time and we would all return in the future to dine there. The restaurant is small with only two washrooms.“

“I’ve been here twice and enjoyed both experiences. Their lunch menus are reasonably priced and come with spring roll and salad, which is a plus. I’ve tried the usual pad Thai and curry dishes as well, both beautiful taste. I personally enjoy drunken noodles for its spiciness, and this places delivers the perfect spicy level that I love, as well as variety of tastes elevated by different herbs added. Having visited twice won’t stop me from visiting more in the future!“

“A hidden gem in the city. Service was so friendly, I felt like I was being welcomed in to someone’s home as our server explained different items and signature dishes on the menu. Food itself is among, if not the best Thai I’ve had in Vancouver. Papaya salad was just ok, but the shrimp pad Thai and the red curry style dish we got was so flavourful. Loved the Thai iced tea. I thought prices were a bit high at first but portions are quite large - especially the curry! The restaurant itself is no frills - only room for about 8 guests at a first come first serve basis, clean but minimal effort put in to dining area. I’m in this neighbourhood frequently and can’t wait to go back!“

“This restaurant does not take reservations so we waited around 30-40min for a table. Absolutely worth the wait. So far the best Thai I have found in Vancouver. The restaurant was busy and buzzing with energy. The staff were accommodating, friendly and all around great. After a negative experience at their sister restaurant Song, this was a welcome change. We ordered pad see ew chicken, Tom yum, green curry tofu, sticky rice, and papaya salad. Rave reviews for the Tom yum. It is on the pricier side ($26) but the best Tom yum nam sai style I’ve had in Vancouver. The papaya salad was lacking a bit compared to others I’ve tried but that was the only dish we liked not loved. The tofu in the curry was crisp and juicy. The eggplant and bamboo in the curry were lovely as well. I thought the crispy onion garnish on the pad see ew was a tasty fun addition. Overall we thought the price and portions were reasonable and would absolutely recommend and revisit.“

“We made our first visit to Noodlebox in New Westminster last week. I was expecting it to be typical bland franchise fast food. Wow was I wrong! The menu choices are excellent and the specific dishes we chose were very tasty and anything but bland. Great ambience, excellent food, and outstanding service. Harpreet made us feel very welcome for our first visit. He made some recommendations which were excellent. Great experience start to finish. We will certainly make another visit. “I ordered pad Thai noodles with shrimp from the friendly manager Peng and he asked “how spicy, mild, medium or hot”? And I replied “hot please”. Within six minutes later made by Chef Willis, I was enjoying my pad Thai noodles and spring rolls which were delicious. Yet after a few bites I realized the pad Thai noodles were way too spicy that I ordered so I went back to Peng asking if they could add more noodles without any spice to help reduce the spiciness and I’ll gladly pay for the extra noodles as it was my mistake. Right away without hesitation Peng kindly offered to remake the pad Thai and less spicy at no charge. I said “not necessary and please just add more noodles”. Chef Willis added more noodles and mixed everything together and he even apologized for making it too spicy, considering it was my fault. They were both so kind and accommodating to making me happy. Ever since this kind service and delicious food, I’ve gone back several times and the Thaigo Brentwood is the jewel in Brentwood Mall and I highly recommend to trying out as you won’t be disappointed and enjoy.Thank you Peng and Chef Willis!“

We didn’t get to try much options because we didn’t have the appetite. Next time looking forward to trying more dishes on the menu. I didn't find the food to be as good (the green curry I ordered lacked a bit of flavour overall) as the Kitsilano location, but it was still really good. I know healthier oils like olive, avocado, coconut are more expensive, but customers are paying high prices and deserve good ingredients. Otherwise there wouldn't be much difference between them and something like Chipotle, other than the healthy marketing.Service, ambience was exceptional, no complaints there. I would have given lower rating if not for this.I am giving 4/5 only because they market as health food store and would upgrade to 5/5 if they use better oils.EDIT: i asked in store after comment below and they said they used sunflower oil.
