“My wife and I enjoyed the yummy sushi here! Miso soup was very flavourful and not too salty. The rolls we tried were very good, sunset roll, red dragon roll and yam roll were excellent. Perfect rice to ingredients ratio. The toppings were very flavourful. I liked the crispy bits on top. Not too spicy at all. There is limited seating inside the restaurant though. I would highly recommend this as a hidden gem in PoCo!Vegetarian options: A huge variety of vegetable sushi and tempura too.“
“This should really be a fine dining restaurant. Exceptional food and service. What more can I say? Lots, apparently. Every dish is carefully crafted, not just thrown together. There was a remote-controlled light buried in the ice to high light the sashimi, and the server showed us all the different combinations to the delight of everyone, especially my 6 year old grandson. We're very surprised when we were presented with deep fried ice cream. Delicious.Food is key, but for me, service is always the lock that makes the meal. All the servers waited on all the tables. There was never an empty plate on the table and if the food was ready the first available server brought it.That is what makes a first class restaurant, first class.I will always go back.“
“On our 5th try, we've found our "go to" take out sushi place in Poco. We were recommended other places, but they were all heavy on tasteless rice and mayo, we prefer smaller amounts of rice. All the rolls were great, lots of flavour and the sashimi was excellent. We will be back soon!“

Chika also asked for allergies and special requests, which was very welcome.Would love to try the assorted sashimi platter and some nigiri next time I'm in. Omakase starts from $90/ppMy favorites from this platter (if I recall correctly from Keith's kind explanation) were Engawa, sablefish, Spanish mackerel, Hokkaido hotate, Keith's special scallop salmon nigiri and a few other fish in there. “I see the high reviews but for me I'm not huge on this place. Reason being is the price is so expensive and I do find it lacks flavour. The lunch boxes are nice because you get gomae as well and presentation is very nice on everything, again lacks flavour and sauce and I just don't see the hype.“

“I ordered a tuna poke bowl and negitoro roll and partner had chicken karaage. Sushi was fresh. The poke bowl was stylishly presented and had lots of interesting things in it including tuna prepared two ways: spicy and a soya based marinade. The chicken had a tasty, flavourful seasoning. “Overall food was really fresh and tasty for the reasonable price point. Bento and wakame salad portions were a lot larger than I thought they would be which was a plus. Tempura was crispy, Cali rolls were good, miso was hot and fresh. Torched salmon was okay.One server came to check on us every once in a while and was quite pleasant and smiled a lot. The restaurant was pretty quiet and clean (smelled of cleaner when I walked in).Would recommend and would go back.“
“In my life as a picky eater, I think I've finally found a food that not only suits me but is also insanely delicious. It's like a ray of light on a boring Tuesday. best!!!! The servers Hiroe and Jessica were really friendly and pretty (*´ ˘ `*) All the other employees were also friendly!!! The food came out really quickly and deliciously. (((The chicken topping in particular was really delicious. I even ate all the grass and lemon for flavor lol)) If possible, I would like to eat three meals a day here every day! “This is a great spot for take out, not so much dine in as it’s a real depressing hole in the wall kinda place BUT what a great find! It’s become my new go to sushi spot after discovering it on New Year’s Day when most spots were closed. The sushi is excellent, very fresh and they don’t rip you off on portions. In fact the portions are big for the sashimi and they keep the price low and that makes me want to support them even more when everyone around seems to be hiking up prices and gouging sushi lovers to the point we can’t afford sushi anymore. I hope they continue to keep their prices low and that the community supports such a great sushi spot with great food, friendly staff and great prices! Thanks Hiro!“
“This is a very small and intimate restaurant with great ambience. However it can host groups of up to 10, as I've done so with family members. After coming here at least 6 times, I would say I've been happy with my meals and the quality of the sushi at least 90% of the time, so it's very consistent. The food really is great. The service is always good too and attentive. What makes it stand out is the large fish tank in the middle of the smallish eating place. At night it looks really special. Very recommended, especially for couples/dates.Kid-friendliness: Kids love the fish tank. Even though they we're noisy, restaurant staff were very patient and understanding.“
