“Good sushi - would returnHad dinner here. They offer bbq which we didn’t try. Had the chirashi don, salmon oshi, chicken teriyaki, chicken udon and gyoza.The fish on the chirashi don was fresh and melted in your mouth. They were thick cut portions and you were given plenty. The rice was done perfectly as not too soft and seasoned properly.You can taste the heat from the jalepeno on the salmon oshi. I’d prefer they remove the seeds to dampen the heat. You get a piece of avocado in the middle of the oshi compared to other places that use a small piece of salmon.My husband and daughter enjoyed their cooked dishes of udon and chicken teriyaki.The menu was on a tablet which wasn’t convenient as all four of us couldn’t scroll through it at once. I’d prefer regular hard copy menus for each of us. Also the categories on the tablet made the menu hard to navigate. Luckily we all knew what we wanted mostly before coming in but it would be difficult for those who want to browse and see what the restaurant offers.You get free ice cream at the end which is nice. Service was fast and friendly. Overall I felt the quality of the fish was very good.“

“A very amazing barbecue restaurant! The store was very busy when I went there, so it is strongly recommended to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you may have to wait until after nine o'clock. The three of us ordered a beef platter and a pork platter. The presentation was very nice, but to be honest, the portions were not very large. The side dishes provided are plentiful and delicious, and are provided based on the number of people. The atmosphere in the store is very good, many people are drinking and chatting together, and there are plastic boards between each seat.“
“Came to Richmond for a day to test drive and buy a car. Was craving something to eat and stopped by this restaurant.Decor is nice, wasn't busy but it was also good Friday.The server Claire I believe that was her name was exceptional, friendly and excellent at her job. Corrected a mistake almost immediately without us having to bring attention to it.The food was very good and filling as well my only gripe is the sheet place onto of the plate starts to rip from the sauce/fats from the food. I had the beef brisket with the rice and corn bread.Brisket was good, really loved the corn bread. The portion was just right too and I'm a very big eaten, not too stuffed but very satisfiedOverall I would come back to this restaurant if I was in Richmond again craving some barbecue“

“The ingredients are fresh and delicious as always. Every time I come to Vancouver, I must come to The Fish Man to eat seafood. What I like most is that they don’t use too many or too heavy seasonings. You can always taste the original taste of the ingredients. “We made a reservation for dinner on Apr 22nd because we went the weekend before and it was 1 1/2 hour wait. The food was really good but small portions. We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“
